A week later:

We were here at the Jeju islands for the grand charity fete. Taehyung insisted us on staying here for three days since it was Sana's wish to have a pre wedding photoshoot. Guk and I were sharing a suite to pretend to be a real couple.

"Why did you insist on booking a fucking Valentine's suite Jeon?! To much into pretense, eh?"

"You shouldn't mind babe, after all it was you who said I'm your boyfriend. I was only proving your point."

I merely rolled my eyes at him at I flopped myself on the bed, the single king sized bed we had to share.

"What's with that eyeroll huh? You don't enjoy it? Girls die to date me and then there's you who's missing out on opportunities."

"Opportunities? Yeah, all of them because of a stupid lie. Listen up, I'll be clear. Sleep anywhere you want to, but the bed is my territory and no trespassing is allowed."

"What do you even mean by trespassing? Never heard of the word. Keep creating your own rules, when you know I won't be listening to you in the end of the day."

"Save this cockiness for the ball tomorrow. We need to think of a plan to get them jealous of us.

"Okay, let's get started."

The evening of the gala

"That's what you're wearing tonight?" I looked at Jungkook through the dressing table mirror who stood by the foyer as I finished my makeup.

"Yeah. I thought this would look apt for the ball. I haven't been to a charity fete for a long time so this is all I could figure out. Why, it doesn't look good?"

I got up and faced him, while he examined me from head to toe. I saw him prodding his cheek with his tongue, a subconscious action of his that made me weak in my knees.

"Nothing's wrong with the dress, I just don't like you wearing it."

Before I could react, he inched closer and backtracked me towards the wall.

Once I was firmly pressed against the wall had successfully trapped me with his strong arms, he slid his hand through the dress slit and traced the movement of his fingers from my leg to my thigh. There was nothing I could do to stop him, especially when he kept staring at my face (which I'm sure had suddenly turned pink like a spring rose) and I felt those ecstatic chills again.

He placed his free hand on my shoulder, his thumb gently tracing my bare clavicle.

"This dress is too revealing. You're giving me a hard time over here, what about the other men who would start eye-fucking you at the venue? And as your boyfriend, that thought just crumbles me inside."

His words got me shocked, Jungkook had never had complimented me in such a hoarse voice like this before. I knew my ears might be turning red just as my flushed face that I couldn't bring myself to stare back at his intense stare. He planted a kiss on my clavicle and looked back into my eyes. We couldn't get lost in ourselves forever, and even if I was secretly enjoying this moment of ours, I had to being an end to it.

"You know what Guk? Thanks for reminding me about the venue. Speaking of which we're already running very late. We have to reach there as soon as we can."

I slightly pushed him away, and he reluctantly backed away clearly annoyed by my response.

"Why do you have to be such a killjoy doll?"

"I try my best. Now cheer up, Sana ssi wouldn't like seeing you like this."

At the venue

"Anneyong!"

Taehyung greeted when he approached us and called out to Sana who was talking to some guests.

Sana walked towards us in a royal blue gown looking elegant. If only she had the elegance in her attitude too...

She first pecked Taehyung's lips and glared at me as if she was hinting who he belongs to. Guk tightened his hold around my waist. Sana noticed this and immediately her eyes went to Guk.

"Good evening Sana ssi. I hope you still remember our first meet on the press conference the other day?" Jungkook kissed her hand softly like a gentleman maintaining an eye contact and I could say it was working.

I could see Taehyung was clearly uncomfortable with it as he tried his best to put up a smile while Sana kept smiling at Jungkook and kept ignoring him.

"Taehyung ssi, remember I texted you the other day that two other investors are interested in the project? Thanks to Jeongguk's efforts, he got them convinced to join hands for this project. I must say he's very fascinated in your idea."

I tried to create a good first impression of Jungkook in front of Taehyung. I could say I had succeeded taking into account the way he curved his lips into a smile. They shook hands and greeted each other.

"It's highly considerate of you to contribute a generous amount of money and support to my idea, Jeongguk ssi. It's a proud moment for me to know that chaebol of such a grand company is supporting me on this innovative."

"I should be the one to thank you Taehyung ssi. I'm aware of your previous successful works like the genetically modified evergreen cherry blossoms that bear flowers the whole year and are an aid to the bee population. You're an inspiration Taehyung ssi."

"Then what are we waiting for? I have a few business colleagues who would love to meet you. We can let the ladies enjoy the evening by themselves before we can join them later. What do you say?"

"Let's get it!" Jungkook exclaimed.

Taehyung and Jungkook then went and merged in the crowd, smiling happily as they talked. They looked like two old friends who met again in a reunion, it was surprising because this was the first time they were meeting in person.

Sana however muttered a silent 'tsk' in annoyance before walking away to attend some of her celebrity guests. Her character sure was very intimidating to me. I had never felt so flustered of a mistress or girlfriend before, though Sana became the first exception.

I looked around and found Tzuyu standing in the corner guiding the waiters to serve the appetizers.

"Looks like someone's busy!"

"Oh my God Lisa, you scared me!"

"With pleasure miss. My baby looks so cute in black!"

I hysterically bowed down showing princess etiquettes as she mirrored my action.

"You're finally here! I was creeped out thinking that I'll be stuck alone in midst of a party filled with royalty and high profile people and look I found you!"

"I hope I'm not disturbing you? You seem busy."

"No, my work is done! I was just checking the arrangements. Let's hangout like college besties!"

Tzuyu shined with a new wave of enthusiasm than ever before. I'm guessing she would've felt lonely taking care of the events like some other employees too. She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards the food section.

"You never said you have a date for this evening?"

"Yeah. I am not dating anyone but Sana ssi is so particular about social appearances that we had to manage among ourselves."

"So who's your date?"

"Its Mingyu, a colleague from office. We're friends and we had to be here so he asked me out."

"Just friends I see..."

I said in a teasing tone and she immediately got embarrassed.

"Its not what you think Lisa-yah! I swear I'm loyal to Taehyung even if its one sided!!"

"I will hope for you to find a true love Tzuyu, it sucks to hear one sided from you."

An hour later

An announcement was made for joining the ball dance. Everyone took their positions in the hall as the tune started to play. Seemed very 1900s though I didn't mind.

We switched our partners after every song ended. The next track was slow and romantic, and when I landed into his arms, I smiled as he graciously smiled back.

Taehyung.

"Did I tell you that you're looking ever so ethereal tonight?"

"Well you said it now. And you look breathtaking too. Why the sudden compliment though?"

"Nothing, it's just.....I get jealous of Jeongguk ssi because he has you...."

"Don't tell me your drunk Taehyung..."

"No, I was just being truthful. You know how to dance?"

He seductively whispered into my ear and I shivered.

"Y-yes....I'm trained in dance. You?"

"Then would you kind teaching me?"

"Why should I mind? Let's dance the night away!"

I placed my hand over his as he kissed it and firmly held it. He then snaked a hand around my waist pulling me close.

He swayed me around as I guided him, our bodies close for the very first time. His lips constantly brushed against my jaw and ear.

I locked my eyes with Guk who was dancing seemingly right next to us. Sana was dancing with him, lost in his eyes. He signalled me through certain gestures that the plan was working and I winked back in response.

The next round made us switch partners again and I now landed in the arms of Guk who tightened his hold on me the moment I reached out to him for the next and the final dance of the evening.

"Was he cracking up some joke? Why were you heartily laughing and talking about?"

Guk said in an absurd tone with gritted teeth.

"Why, jealous much are we?

I teased, earning a grunt from him as he interlocked his hands with mine.

"Jealous, very. Now it's his turn to get jealous."

He left our intertwined hands so I could wrap them around his neck and his hands rested on my waist as we grooved to the tune. He kissed the soft spot just below my ear and gently sucked it. We were dancing close to each other. And by close, I mean very close.

Close enough to get Taehyung and Sana jealous.

Jealousy was evident in their eyes. I could see Sana eyeing Guk hungrily while Taehyung looked as if he was about to burn Guk's very existence.

I could find Jungkook's eyes fixed on me. That intense stare of his always gave me churns in my insides.

"After the ball is over, come with me to the garden. There is something I want to talk about."

"Uhm...okay?"

All I could do confusedly look at Guk. What was so important he wanted to talk about? I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize the dance had ended. Guk simply winked as he let go of me.

Guess the mystery will only be revealed till I wait.
