Forty-four.

Seven Months Later

It was June seventeen, the day before Baekhyun and Chanyeol's wedding that eight months ago the Byun's had insisted they have. Baekhyun was nervous, although he knew he didn't have to be, it just seemed like an appropriate feeling for him to be having. He was nervous because he would be standing in a glossy tuxedo in front of his family and friends, as all eyes stared at him; studied him. Baekhyun blanched and shook the thought off as his eyes readjusted and he glanced at himself in the mirror for the millionth time, his eyes scrutinizing the waistline of his dress slacks as he turned every which way, his lips pursed as he fretted and pulled at the fabric.

The bedroom door opened just then, and Chanyeol walked in rubbing a towel through his freshly washed hair. He glanced at Baekhyun fiddling in front of the mirror, and sighed as he walked towards him. He wound his arms around Baekhyun's waist and kissed the side of his neck as he murmured, "Stop worrying, it's not good for you, Baek. Okay? And I promise, no one will be able to tell, and we still time before we have to tell the family." Chanyeol softly reassured as he rubbed his thumb over Baekhyun's slightly protruded belly.

Baekhyun sighed and touched Chanyeol's hand as he quietly mused, "What if you're wrong . . . What if someone figures out that I'm—-"

"They won't," Chanyeol said, effectively cutting off Baekhyun's worried words with a quick kiss. "Now please, Baek, no more worrying. We have to keep the twins healthy."

Baekhyun sighed with a small smile and lovingly rubbed his belly as he murmured, "I know, sorry, Chan. I can't help but worry though . . ." Baekhyun trailed off. "I mean, no one knows that I have the ability to get pregnant except you, Daehyun, and Sehun. And I can't have anyone knowing until I'm ready —- until I can't hide the truth beneath one of your sweatshirts anymore." Baekhyun sighed.

"But haven't we done enough hiding of the truth?" Chanyeol softly asked. "We've had so many problems because we've hidden the truth . . ."

Baekhyun sighed. "I know, but I have to do this at my own pace. You can't pressure me, Chanyeol. These babies are mine too and if I'm not ready to share them with everyone yet, then don't make me, please?"

Chanyeol smiled sadly and kissed Baekhyun's forehead before he softly muttered, "Okay, Baekkie. I won't say anything, you have my word, I promise." Chanyeol kissed him again and nuzzled his neck. "I love you."

Baekhyun smiled. "I love you too."

The weather was perfect; the sky a beautiful cloudless blue; the breeze a gentle blowing that didn't so much as ruffle a single hair. Baekhyun was watching outside the window at the lapping waves as his bride's man and maid, consisting of Luhan and Yoora fretted around behind him, when he heard the door open to the room and his father's gentle voice when he said, "Baekhyun, it's time."

Baekhyun softly smiled as he turned around, and replied, "Let's go."

The guests had all arrived and Chanyeol and his groom's man were in place under the alter interwoven with yellow daisies and the greenest, lushest leaves. A white carpet had been laid out over the grass and the guests stood beside their chairs as the music began to play over the sound of lapping waves, and everyone was a sea of smiles as the bride's man and maid —- dressed in soft baby blue —- made their way out of the beach house, followed soon after by a radiant Baekhyun dressed in white.

He held tightly to his father's arm as he walked him down the aisle, his stomach a fluttery mess of nerves that he desperately prayed wouldn't trigger his gag reflex. When he reached the alter, his father squeezed his hand and whispered, "I love you," before passing him to Chanyeol, who gently took Baekhyun's hand in his.

As they positioned themselves beneath the alter, Baekhyun caught Sehun's eye over Chanyeol's shoulder, who had happily agreed to be Chanyeol's grooms men along with Taemin to the happiness of his brother and husband. Baekhyun smiled at him and mouthed, "Thank you."

Sehun smiled too and mouthed, "You're welcome."

Baekhyun smiled as his eyes flickered back to Chanyeol, who gently squeezed his hand before softly muttering, "You look so beautiful."

Baekhyun blushed and squeezed Chanyeol's hand back as he quietly replied, "And you look unbelievable handsome."

Chanyeol smiled shyly and dropped his gaze as they settled beneath the alter, then with a confirming nod from Chanyeol, the minister began to speak.

"Dear friends and family, we are gathered here today to reunify the marriage of Park Baekhyun and Park Chanyeol. If anyone objects, speak now, or forever hold your peace," the minister waited a moment, before continuing to say, "The couple has written their own vows, and may now read them." The minister nodded to Chanyeol to start; Chanyeol thinly smiled in response as his eyes met Baekhyun's love-filled gaze.

"Baekhyun . . ." Chanyeol softly began, "We've been through so much, and nothing is more true as when I say, I know you are my soulmate. We've been separated by time and space on many occasions, but each time my feet have always lead me back to you. You are so incredibly important to me, and everyday I thank God that I'm alive and for allowing me to be with you, especially now with our friends and family as we redeclare our love nothing could be more perfect. You are the other half of me, Park Baekhyun, and without you I wouldn't be alive and I'm so grateful for your love. Thank you for being mine; thank you for wanting me."

Baekhyun's mouth was closed tightly against his tears, and he's cheeks hurt from smiling so much. He took a steady breath, and squeezed Chanyeol's hands before he began to recite his vows.

"Chanyeol, if you had never walked back into my life, everything would be so much different. I know I would be happy, and I know I would be in love, but having you back in my life again makes all of that seem like a distant fantasy. I don't want anyone but you, and I've loved you since I was thirteen. I've made many mistakes, and sometimes it seemed like you were one of them, but no matter what anyone said I knew I couldn't bare my life without you. I'm so glad to have you back; I'm so glad we were given our second chance; and I'm so glad we've been given the opportunity to make it perfect. You stick by me; you love me dispite my flaws; and you never ask me to be someone I'm not. You love all of me for me, and I love all of you for you. So thank you, for finding me, and thank you for choosing me all over again. Thank you for letting me love you . . ." Baekhyun softly spoke the last sentence for Chanyeol's ears alone.

Chanyeol smiled, his eyes misty with his own unshed tears. Chanyeol squeezed Baekhyun's hands and mouthed, "I love you." Baekhyun smiled and mouthed it back as the minister began to speak.

"With their vows, I now reunify their promises and love for one another. Park Chanyeol and Park Baekhyun, congratulations, you may kiss!"

A smile split across Baekhyun's face as he stood up on his tiptoes and carefully wound his arms around Chanyeol's neck. Chanyeol delicately held Baekhyun's hips as their lips connected in a slow and sweet kiss, both of them taking their time to memorize the moment. When the clapping and cheers began, they reluctantly broke the kiss and settled for holding hands as they smiled and walked down from the alter to the large tent they had rented for after the wedding. The groom's and bride's men and maid followed after them, then the guests followed next.

Pictures where taken and Baekhyun and Chanyeol were dragged all over the beach and yard for the perfect backgrounds before, tired and feet aching, they went back to the tent with all of their guests. They settled at the head table with their family, food was served and toasts were made, sometimes at the expenses of the couple. After their dinner and all the food had been pushed to the side and cleared away, the music was turned up and the dancing and games began.

Baekhyun and Chanyeol spent the night thanking their guests, friends, and family for coming and for supporting them. And they also danced together, Chanyeol supported most of Baekhyun's weight, and at one point he even lifted him up until Baekhyun's feet were on top of Chanyeol's since Baekhyun was growing increasingly tired from all the activity. Chanyeol didn't mind, he just held Baekhyun close and told him to rest his head on Chanyeol's shoulder; Baekhyun smiled as he sleepily complied.

They danced for awhile more, and then someone asked to cut in. Chanyeol was reluctant to let Baekhyun go, but knew that when he handed Baekhyun over, the person who took his hand would treat him with delicate care.

"Daehyun, you came," Baekhyun softly said with a small smile.

Daehyun smiled in response and softly replied, "Of course, I came, Youngjae was reluctant but knows how important this is to me."

Baekhyun smiled. "Tell him, 'Thank you', for me," Baekhyun said, then he sighed before laying his head on Daehyun's shoulder as he softly murmured, "We need to hang out, again soon, I miss you."

Daehyun chuckled. "I'll talk to Youngjae, and then I'll get back to you."

Baekhyun smiled. "Thanks."

Daehyun nodded. "Anytime," he softly murmured. They didn't say anything for awhile, as they just took small steps side to side, Baekhyun's head still resting on his shoulder as Daehyun laid his own head on Baekhyun's shoulder.

Chanyeol watched them from the sidelines, a small smile on his lips, his jealousy over their friendship long gone. He trusted Baekhyun wholeheatedly, and he never said 'No' when Baekhyun made Chanyeol aware that he would be spending the day with Daehyun. Instead he had grown to accept it, even if it did take him many months to overcome his jealousy and thoughts of 'What if'. Now he was just happy that Baekhyun was happy, and that's all that mattered. Well that, and their unborn babies.

"When do you want to hang out?" Baekhyun asked as he continued to move in small circles with Daehyun.

"How does this weekend sound?" Daehyun asked.

"This weekend . . ." Baekhyun trailed off. He had an ultrasound sound, but couldn't very well say that, so he mumbled, "Um, I . . . I'd have to check my schedule," he muttered as he began to pull away.

Daehyun frowned confusedly at his behavior, and reached out to touch him. When he did, his hand grazed across Baekhyun's protruding belly that Chanyeol and Baekhyun had spent so much time carefully hiding beneath his tuxedo, and Daehyun's eyes widened at the familiarity.

His gaze flickered up to meet Baekhyun's panicked expression, and his heart constricted at the sight as he softly muttered, "Baekkie, it's okay. You know you can trust me, I won't say a word. It's okay," Daehyun reassured as he carefully wrapped his arms around Baekhyun and hugged him. He rubbed his back and kissed his forehead, and continued to whisper, "I won't tell, it's okay. I won't tell."

Daehyun continued to hold and reassure Baekhyun for a few moments longer until Chanyeol returned to see what was wrong, and when Daehyun quietly told him, Chanyeol sighed and pulled Baekhyun into his arms to continue the reasurance. But what neither of them knew, was that Baekhyun had began to panic because he knew if someone else hugged him or tried to reach for him, they would noticed the baby bump too. He couldn't hide it any longer —- his final secret had to be told.
