Jax's POV
Stopping my bike next to Clay's, I watch as the rest of the club parks their bikes on either side of mine or Clay's bike.
Today was our meeting with the Mayan's.
Things between the two clubs have been calm, calmer than normal. Which is best case scenario in my situation. With Jessica having knowledge of the Mayan's and not of SAMCRO, I know that at the end of the day, if things go south, she is safe no matter what happens.
I look over at Kozik who is looking between Angel and myself. He gets off of his bike, giving me a small nod to follow behind him. Looking over at Clay, I see he's involved in his conversation, so involved that he will never notice me sneaking away.
The two of us approach Angel, who is giving the two of us a confused look.
"You wanted to talk?" Angel questions.
"There has been a significant change in the princesses' life here recently, you need to be filled in" he tells Angel.
Angel smacks him upside the head, giving him a stern look.
"Dude, what the fuck happened to not mentioning her?" Angel asks.
"I am the change" I tell him.
Angel gives me a look of disbelief, before turning his attention to Kozik.
"I thought you didn't want her to know about the club" Angel states.
"She doesn't" Kozik and I respond in unison.
"Look, she's going to talk to you about something when she sees you later, be happy for her. The three of us can talk some other time and go over everything again, but no mention of the club around her, or anyone here. Only Kozik and Opie know about her, and that's the way I intend to keep it for a while" I tell him.
Angel gives me a nod, looking between Kozik and I.
"She is safe in the eyes of the Mayan's; she always will be. Everyone in this club loves her, so you have no concerns where we are involved" he tells me.
As soon as those words leave his mouth, I feel like a weight was lifted off of my shoulders.
In the MC world, it's not unusual for rival clubs to go after women and children to get their point across. Knowing that I wouldn't have to worry about the Mayan's ever hurting her, my mind is at ease.
If anything was going to actually happen to her, we would end up having double the man power to help find her in the worst-case scenario situation.
After our meeting with the Mayan's, Kozik and I made an excuse to head to Stockton while everyone else heads back to Charming. When we pull up to Jessica's store a little while later, we see Angel, Alvarez, and Angel's brother sitting outback.
"Let's get to explaining" Angel states as soon as our bikes come to a halt.
"I met Jess a little over a year ago. I met her without the kutte on, so I never told her about the club. It's not that I don't want her to know my involvement, but it's been nice having that separation from the club. She will find out, eventually, I just want to make sure that she will be safe when I do finally tell her" I explain.
"So you're telling me that no one, not even your mother, knows about her?" Angel questions.
Kozik lets out a chuckle, before grabbing onto my shoulder.
"This man is going to get married without anyone having any idea" Kozik tells him.
Angel looks at me with wide eyes, shocked by what Kozik said.
"You're beyond fucked when she finds out, even I know that" he tells her.
"Believe me, I know. I just hope when she does get told, she will understand where I am coming from at the end of the day" I tell him.
"I know she's going to ask, so I'll respect you by asking you. Are we going to be allowed at the wedding?" Marcus asks.
Angel and EZ both nod, wondering the same thing.
"As long as you guys can promise there will be no mention of SAMCRO, and there will be no drama then yes. Only Kozik, Opie, and I from SAMCRO will be there, so there's no issue there. Regardless of club business, you guys are important to her, which makes you important to me." I respond.
The five of us sit and chat for a little while longer before Marcus decides to head back to the clubhouse, leaving the rest of us to go and find my wayward fiancé.
Jessica's POV
"So, what color are you thinking?" Morgan asks, looking at me through her laptop.
The two of us have been on facetime constantly trying to get all of the details for the wedding hashed out. Morgan has asked over and over again why I wanted this wedding to happen so quickly.
I'm just really, really in love.
A part of me is waiting for the other shoe to drop with how perfectly everything is going.
Hearing the front door open, I look up to see Jax walking through the door, along with Herman and two other people behind them. When Jax and Herman move out of the way giving me a full view of the people standing behind them, I can't help the squeal that leaves my lips.
Forgetting my best friend on the screen, I immediately jump out of my chair, running towards the two men.
"What are you two doing here?" I question.
Angel sets me on the ground, letting me walk over to hug his brother.
"We were just in the neighborhood, wanted to come by and see you" Angel explains.
I give him a nod, before looking over at Jax who is talking to Morgan through my laptop.
"Shit, I forgot about Morgan for a minute there" I state.
Making my way over to the laptop, I sit down and look at my best friend, who has a wide smile on her face.
"Sorry about that" I tell her, before looking up at Jax with a smile on my face.
"Well hi there" I say.
"Hey darlin" Jax responds, placing a small kiss on the tip of my nose.
"We are working Jax, stop kissing my best friend and walk away" Morgan states.
Jax let out a chuckle, before giving me a kiss and walking out of the kitchen.
I watch as him, Angel, Herman, and EZ all walk into the living room, sitting on one of the couches. Nothing can stop the smile on my face seeing four of the most important people in my life sitting together and getting along.
"Okay, back to work Jess. We have a lot to take care of" Morgan states, bringing my attention back to her.
