Jax's POV

"You look happy dude" Opie states.

"I am happy, happier than I have been since Tara" I tell him.

It's been a few weeks since I moved out of the clubhouse and into Jessica's house full time, only staying at the clubhouse once a week.

Thankfully, no one has questioned where I went, not even my mom has really noticed that I'm not there fulltime anymore. As long as I show my face during church, when the club needs me, or at some parties, I'm pretty much in the clear.

"Do I get to meet this girl when I get out?" he asks, giving me a knowing smirk.

I sigh, rubbing my hands across my face. Do I want Jessica and Opie to meet? Of course, I do. Opie has been my best friend for most of my life, however Jessica has no idea about my life in Charming.

"If I let the two of you meet, you can't talk about the club around her. She doesn't know anything about my life in Charming, and I want to keep it that way for now" I tell him.

"I know you don't want her involved in this life Jax, hell I wish I could turn back time and never bring Donna into this, but she will find out at some point. It'll be worse if it comes from someone other than you, plus I think your mom might kill the both of us if she finds out about Jessica without you telling her" he explains.

I give him a nod, understanding where he is coming from.

"How about this, when you get out, I'll make sure it's just me that comes to get out. We can stop by her store on the way back to Charming, that way you can meet her, and she can finally meet you" I suggest.

He gives me a nod, agreeing with my plan.

"At least promise me you will tell her about the club eventually, you can't keep her in the dark forever" he says.

"I will" I promise.

After visiting Opie for a little while, I make my way back towards the house, where hopefully Jessica is still working instead of going to the store. My girlfriend is a workaholic, but I still love her anyways.

It's rare that I actually have a day without club business, and a day that I don't have to go into the shop at the same time, today is one of those days and I'm going to take advantage of it.

Parking my bike next to Jessica's car in the garage, I walk into the house only to be met with the sound of silence, not even the sound of her keyboard clicking.

Normally if she works at home, she's at the counter or on the deck, but I only see her stuff sitting there and not her. Panic starts to rush through me, not spotting Jessica anywhere.

Walking up the stairs quickly, I hear soft music coming from the master bedroom, the panic flowing through my body calming slowly. Entering the bedroom, I follow the source of the music, I walk into the bathroom only to see Jessica lounging in the bathtub with her eyes closed, softly humming along with the song that's playing from the speakers.

"Don't you look comfortable" I state, breaking her out of her trance.

Jessica jumps slightly in the tub, her hand on her chest.

"Jesus Jackson, you almost gave me a heart attack" she exclaims, giving me a glare.

I chuckle at the use of my full first name.

It's not that often that she uses my full name, only when she's pissed off about something, or I scare her.

"Sorry baby, had to do it" I tell her.

Making quick work of undressing, I slide myself into the tub behind Jessica, letting her lay comfortably against my chest.

"I'm happy you took my suggestion" I tell her, wrapping my arms around her waist.

Jessica lets out a small chuckle, letting her body relax against mine fully.

"It wasn't just you that suggested it. After you left this morning, I talked to my parents for a while. Mom said that I looked absolutely exhausted and told me that I finally needed to slow down some. I guess being told that so much over the past 48 hours finally made me listen" she tells me.

I nod in agreement; she did need to slow down a lot.

I had met Jessica's parents a few weeks ago right after I had officially moved in when they had shown up, unannounced, to check on Jessica. They almost caught us in a position I did not want to be in when meeting my girlfriends parents for the first time, but thankfully they were about 20 minutes too late for that one.

We all got along perfectly.

I could tell her parents were hesitant about me at first considering that I'm not like the guys she normally brought around them. By the end of their visit, her dad and I wouldn't leave each other's side.

It was nice to have a positive male influence around other than a few of the guys at the club, mostly Bobby and Chibs. I was happy to be around an actual family and not the twisted version of a family that I had always grown up with.

"Dad also told me he had a question about his car when you have time to call him, told me to tell you not to worry about it today though" she adds.

I hum in agreement, before moving her hair over to one side of her neck, placing a few small kisses along her neck.

"Why did they not want me to worry about it today?" I question.

Jessica shivers, making a smirk come to my face at her reaction to me.

"They knew you would want to spend some time with me" she responds, quietly.

"Doing what?" I question.

Jessica sits up before moving to straddle me, a smirk on her face.

"Doing me" she responds.

Jessica's lips travel from mine, down my jaw and to my neck. Standing up with her in my arms, Jessica wraps her legs around me tightly as she continues her assault on my neck.

Not bothering with the fact that we are splashing water everywhere, I walk over to the bedroom, tossing her down on the bed gently, before climbing on top of her.

"Hope you got your relaxing in darlin, because you're mine for the night"

 Jessica's POV

Feeling Jax trace his finger along my bare spine, my mind is a state of post orgasmic bliss if that's what you want to call it.

"Hey Jess" he says, grabbing my attention.

I mumbled in response, dragging my attention off of the wall and to him.

"What would you think about getting married?" he asks.

I sit up quickly, pulling the sheet that was covering both of us up with me.

"What did you just say?" I question, attempting to see if he really said what it sounds like.

Jax lets out a chuckle, before leaning over towards the nightstand on his side of the bed and pulling out a velvet bag from the drawer.

"Jax, it's only been eight months, we've only been together for eight months. How can you be so sure that you want to get married?" I question, looking between the bag in his hand and him.

"Growing up, I never had many consistent people in my life other than my mom, and the people at the shop. Other than them, I've never really had a proper family outside of them. From the day I met you, I knew that you would be my family. Yes, it has only been eight months, but these eight months have been the best eight months of my life. You know that I love you, I love you more than anything in this world. I already talked to your dad, he gave me his and your mothers approval for this, spend the rest of your life with me. Marry me Jess" he states.

I feel my heart beating out of my chest, replaying his words over and over again in my head. Nodding my head softly, I watch Jax's eyes widen in shock.

"Yes?" Jax questions.

"Yes, yes I will marry you"
