At last the six friends made their way back to Lukas' house. They all dropped their motorcycles at the back of the house before walking in.

"What about your dad?" Juhead asked "he's never around anymore. I'm in charge of the house" Lukas shrugged. Philip saw the hurt in his eyes "but we don't need him to have fun!" Philip exclaimed as he pulled out pop bottles from the fridge.

"Philip no" Lukas responded his voice low. "Come on L! You're going to be sad that your dad's never around?" Philip asked. "Says the boy who has a loving family" Lukas spat back. "Lukas... Not now" Philip whispered. "What? I can't explain to them how I have no one?" Lukas asked crossing his arms.

"You have me, Helen, Gabe, Anne" Philip replied "Helen and Gabe aren't even your real parents" Lukas exclaimed. "Lukas... don't" Philip replied shaking his head. "Oh you mean don't tell them that you have a loving mom and I-" Philip shoved Lukas back.

"Don't compare my family to yours Waldenbeck" Philip retorted. "You have a mom I don't... not anymore" Lukas growled. "Lukas stop" Philip asked.

"You have a mom who loves you for you. I have a demanding father who is too afraid to let go of the past! Who won't even love me because I love you! You don't know that pain. Everyday I have to live with that! When he shows up drinking making me do his job because he's too miserable and drunk to do it himself" Lukas broke.

"Lukas I-" Lukas shook his head before walking out of the house.
