Mr. Shea, it's time to close” a few nurses said coming in. “I’m not leaving Lukas, i’m staying with him” Philip fought his ground. “Philip-” Philip got up from his seat standing in front of the nurses “i’m staying with him. I want to be here when he wakes up. No one will stand in my way. I need Lukas to be okay” Philip said. The nurses sighed “we can't leave him in here by himself, without someone else here if we close”

“Please... Let me stay with him... He's all I have” Philip pleaded. The nurses nodded “alright you can stay with him, here's a buzzer if something happens” a nurse replied handing Philip a remote. Philip nodded watching as the nurses walked away.

“I’m really sorry I pushed you into opening up Lukas. I just- I want to help you, sometimes it’s just hard because you lock yourself away.” Philip said his voice breaking. “this would have never happened if I pushed you into telling me what was wrong. I just I love you a lot. It's hard to see the person I love most battling with their thoughts”

The monitors beeped at a normal rate. Philip sighed “it’s funny kinda, you fell but you didn't hit the ground we landed on each other. If anything I should have been the one in this hospital bed unconscious and with a broken arm”

Philip jumped when he seen Lukas move slightly. “Nurse!” Philip yelled pressing the button. Nurses came running in “Philip what happened?” A nurse asked “he moved” Philip said “can he respond?” Philip asked the nurses nodded before speaking. “He will probably move his arms or legs but that’s all. Unless he opens his eyes, but he hit his head pretty hard so he might not open them” A nurse replied.

Philip nodded as the nurses left the room. Philip sat beside Lukas in a chair. “Lukas if you can hear me squeeze my hand” Philip practically begged.

Philip put his head on Lukas’ chest only to look up and see a small smirk on Lukas’ face. “Can you hear me?” Philip asked. Lukas squeezed his hand. “Oh my gosh” Philip replied as he smiled to himself. Lukas was alive and okay.
