Picture of Gemini

"You mean that really happened?!"

Gemini nodded. "Yeah. And Cancer was so brave, standing up to Coach Robertson like that!" She smiled at Cancer, who was sitting down on the bed, fidgeting with the band on his wrist. He looked up and gave Gemini a crooked smile.

Sagittarius frowned. "I can't believe it. I won't believe it. There's a room down there with carpet rock walls, treadmills, and bad lighting, sure. That's believable. But Coach Robertson doing.....that?! I can't believe that." She rolled her eyes.

Leo emerged from the crowd, doing a Justin Bieber style hair flip. "I agree with Saggi. Coach Robertson just teaches football. He's good at it too. Why would he force you onto those treadmills?"

Sagittarius rolled her eyes. "Leo, babe, that's not what I meant. I meant, he's not that type of person. I bet you just made it all up. Aqua has a really good imagination, and she's slightly brain damaged. It's perfect."

Taurus scowled at Sagittarius, who simply rolled her eyes back at Taurus. "You really think we made it up? What about Cap and Virgo?" She jutted her thumb at the two. They were laying, still unconscious, on their own bed.

Sagittarius shrugged. "Maybe the nerds were reading while walking again and hit their heads on the wall?"

Taurus gave her a skeptical look. "No. There's something else that's up. And I think Cancer knows." She looked down at Cancer.

Cancer's head snapped up, revealing a deer-caught-in-the-headlights look on his face. "What? I, uh, no, I, uh..."

Pisces stepped in front. "That's right. Cancan, I think you need to tell us something. You owe us all an explanation."

Cancer's eyes widened. "I, uh, I, don't, uh....."

"GUYS!!!!" Everyone's heads snapped to see Aquarius running into the office, her dark hair flying behind her. "Coach Robertson's been fired!!"

"WHAT?!" Aries screeched, talking for the first time. "That's insane! What happens to our team? We are going to lose against North Mountain Academy again! So much for a winning streak this year!" Everyone deadpanned him. "What?" he asked with a shrug. "I care about my sports!" Everyone rolled their eyes and looked away.

Taurus raised her eyebrows, smirking at Sagittarius. "Now do you believe us?" Sagittarius just rolled her eyes. "But honestly. Why would he hit us? What's going on?"

Aqua shrugged. "I dunno about that. But you can be Sherlock Holmes later. We've been called back to the gym - Coach Tyler wants y'all." Everyone followed Aquarius out the door, and toward the gym - except for Taurus. Taurus just sat there, on the side of Capricorn's bed, thinking hard. Her thoughts were suddenly interrupted.

Taurus looked up to see Cancer, tapping on her shoulder. "Uh, I just wanted to say thanks for saving me back there. That was, uh, that was nice of you." His cheeks were painted in a soft red, barely visible.

Taurus felt herself redden. "Don't mention it." she murmured quietly. Cancer sat down next to Taurus. "I just don't get something." she said. He looked at her. "You didn't stutter when I first met you. Why do you stutter now?"

Cancer looked down at his lap, fidgeting with the bandage again. "I, uh. I just...."

"And Aqua said that Cap is usually more bold, smart, and talkative than Virgo. But when I met them on that day, Capricorn was really quiet and seemed nervous. What gives?"

Cancer looked like he was at a loss for words. He looked up, then down, then back up, then back down again, until he finally just shrugged. "I just- I can't- I-"

"Save it." Taurus interrupted him. She stood up, the springs creaking. "I get that it's not something you can tell me right now. We all have our secrets, don't we?" She looked away. "The time will come. I'll find out on my own." And with that, Taurus walked out of the nurse's office, leaving Cancer, Capricorn, Virgo, and what seemed to be a huge secret.

Taurus looked up at the shop in front of her. 1019 Falcon Drive.... this was it. Taurus got off her bike and parked it against the shop. She opened the glass door, a chime ringing out. "Welcome to Falcon Fro-Yo!" the teenager at the counter greeted. "Is it your first time here or have you been here before?"

Taurus shook her head. "Never been here...."

The boy smiled at Taurus. "Ah. So do you know what Fro-Yo is?" Taurus shook her head slowly. "Fro-Yo is frozen yogurt. It's basically ice cream, only fat free and healthier."

Taurus' face lit up. "Ice cream is good! Only.... I don't get fat. I can't get fat. But healthy is nice!"

The teenager laughed. "Here are three sample cups. You can try some flavors out. The big containers are there, so after you decide what you want, you can fill those up with different fro-yo flavors and toppings. After that, just bring it over here, and I'll bill you up."

Taurus paled. "But I don't have money on me. I had no idea what this was until just now!"

The high schooler grinned. "It's on me. I remember my first fro-yo experience..." He smiled.

Taurus lit up. "Really? Thanks!!!" So she got her flavors - pink lemonade & birthday cake - and added toppings - gushers, chocolate sticks, & white chocolate chips. The dude payed for her fro-yo (and Taurus thanked him again), and Taurus went and sat down at a table, facing the TV. She spooned into her treat eagerly. Taurus loved it.

When Taurus was halfway through her fro-yo, a familiar-looking blonde haired girl stepped in. Behind her was another girl, who was even more familiar, with long dark hair and beautiful big eyes. Both the girls looked at Taurus and waved, giving her big smiles. Taurus waved back at them, giving them a smile, but fell short when she saw the person behind them.

Cancer.

The butterflies began swarming in Taurus' stomach. She gave Pisces and Aquarius a look that said, "What the heck?!", and marched up to them. Between gritted teeth, she muttered, "You never said he was invited too!!!"

Pisces threw her head back and laughed. "That's the point, darling! Now don't make a fuss, and just do it."

Taurus glared at Pisces. "Thanks so much. I don't really know you much, Pisces, but Aqua..... you too?"

Aqua giggled. "We need some action! Pisces is right. Don't make a fuss, sweetie!" Taurus just rolled her eyes and stormed back to her table.

The girls walked up to the table and put their things down. Cancer trailed behind, looking around the place. He looked like he had never been to such a place. Taurus pulled herself together and started talking. "Never been here?"

Cancer looked at Taurus, registering her question. "Oh. I, uh, no. Never been." He gave her a crooked smile. "You?"

Taurus shook her head. "Nah. But the cashier over there helped me out, so..." She held up her spoon. "But I can help you if you want..." Cancer's eyes lit up slightly, and he nodded. Taurus explained what fro-yo is, where to get samples, how to operate the machines, and how to pay. Taurus was suddenly very aware of how her hair was, what she was wearing, and small things like that. She also noticed, out of the corner of her eye, that Cancer was just staring at her, but she dismissed it, saying that she just imagined it. "And yeah! You can go get some fro-yo now..." Taurus was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable.

A while later, everyone had their treats, and we're chatting, talking about random stuff and laughing randomly. Pisces suddenly asked Taurus a question. "So, Taurus. I know it's only been four days, but do you have your eye on any of the boys?" She raised her eyebrows suggestively. Taurus gave her a death glare, telepathically saying, "What the fudge do you think you're doing?!" Aqua's eyes became really large, as she struggled to keep from bursting out in laughter.

Taurus batted her eyes innocently. "Why, no! I don't like anyone! Does it seem like I do?"

Pisces grinned. "Maybe it does! Maybe you like someone and they don't. even. know. it."

Taurus pursed her lips. "Maybe that's true. Maybe I do like someone. But why would I tell you?" She stuck out her tongue teasingly.

Aquarius shook her head. "Well, no matter if you like someone or not, that person should be very. lucky. that you like them!"

Taurus blushed. "Well. Thanks Aqua. That was.... uh..... Nice of you. Now, let's move on. My love life isn't very interesting."

"No, actually, its not, uh, that boring." Three heads whipped around to see Cancer, babbling away. "I mean, uh, not like that, but, uh....." He blushed hard.

Pisces smirked, her eyes looking maniacal. "Cancan, what are you saying?"

Cancer looked truly bewildered. "No! I mean, I, uh, I..... NO!"

Everyone burst out laughing, Cancer & Taurus included. They finished their treats and went home, still laughing while they entered their homes. Overall, it was surely a memorable night. Taurus wouldn't ever forget it.

Chapter 6 is up and running! Changed the cover, made chapter titles, what do you think? I probably won't finish, but I'm trying to get this all done by September 30th, which is the Wattys2015 #justwriteit deadline. It is a short story, so.....

I tried to add a super-slight bit (meaning NOT a lot) of 'lovey-dovey'-ness, but I'm unsure how I did! So pleasepleaseplease tell me if its substandard or what! More love will come in coming chapters, so STAY TUNED! (Unless you think I can't write lovey-dovey-ness for the life of me/you. Then DONT stay tuned and please tell me so!)

Otherwise, that's really it! Vote, comment, & share! Byesies!!!!! <3
