You give Cherrybloom a slight nod. "Alright, I'll get you your violets," you say.

Cherrybloom gives you a slight smile and takes the red mouse off the fresh-kill-pile. "Just safeguarding it for you," she assures when you let out a slight growl.

You grab a great big leaf from a nearby bush so you can have something to hold all the violets. The small purple flowers smell sweet, and you wonder why your denmate is called Violetkit when she's white, not purple. Extending a careful claw, you cut off one violet per plant, careful to leave the stalk intact so each flower can regrow. You pad back and forth to your giant leaf and drop one flower after another on it.

At long last, you've collected all 24 flowers. You fold the giant leaf, carry it in your mouth and pad back to Cherrybloom triumphantly. You deposit the folded leaf on the ground. Cherrybloom unfolds it and counts. She looks up at you and smiles. "Good work out there. I really liked the technique and ingenuity you showed out there with how you collected these herbs."

You nod your head, slightly confused by her big words. "What do the elder's need violet for anyway?" you ask.

"Oh, Oakface has been having trouble sleeping lately. Violets are good for insomnia, and asthma," explained Cherrybloom. She used a paw to push the mouse towards you. "Here, take this. You've earned it."

You nod eagerly, grabbing your prize and padding away with it. Somehow, you actually really enjoyed this whole thing with Cherrybloom. Dealing and learning about plants just seems fun in a way you'd never really thought of before. When you're well away from everyone, you take an experimental nibble on your mouse. Your eyes light up, it's flesh is so tender and savoury! You tear into the animal and before you know it, you've gobbled up the entire mouse. You belch loudly and stagger back to the nursery den, your belly bloated from your feast. Despite everything, you have no regrets.
