                                                                                    Jett's Pov:

Jett couldn't get over the fact that he had just murdered Lily, Cedar's mother. Her death was a terrible shock, and he couldn't help but feel horrified by his own actions. He knew he had to tell someone, but who could he trust? His father, Solar, was already angry with him for his previous transgressions, and he doubted that he would believe Jett's story. He had no one else to turn to. He felt guilty beyond words. He knew that he had to leave the pack and find a way to live with what he had done. He wandered through the forest aimlessly, not sure where to go or what to do. He finally settled down under a large tree, his heart heavy with grief and shame. He was glad that Solar had banished him; he was more than a danger to the pack and himself. He realized that he was at Lily's and Artemis's mercy and that he had no place in the pack anymore.

He had tried to look for Cedar, but had no luck. He wondered for days in the forest, hoping to spot Cedar. He strongly remembers being chased by the former pack he once worked for to gain his father's love and attention, but of that, all is nothing; it doesn't matter to him any more. He lost it all over some big mistake that night; it changed everything. He still smells the smoke that has singed his skin and clothing. It never left his body, no matter how much he washed it off. The memory of the flames and the screaming of Lily begging for her life haunt him day and night; he couldn't even hunt anymore, not that he had any reason to, not anymore. He was nothing but a burden to everyone.

The cool breeze comb through his hair, and the rustle of the leaves on the ground beneath him was the only sound that he could hear. He felt so alone and lost. he I searched for Cedar near where the cliff left him, but he wasn't there. He has to be nearby, but he lost Cedar's scent days ago when he was running for his life from the pack. He didn't know what to do; he just wanted to find Cedar and make things right.

"Artemis, my lady, I have failed you once more. I have failed my family, my pack, and most importantly, my pack mates. I am unworthy of the title you bestowed upon me, and I beg you to find someone more deserving to take my place. My heart is filled with shame and guilt, and I can no longer bear the weight of my sins. I do not know what to do, where to go, or how to make things right. All I know is that I cannot remain here, in this place where I have brought so much pain and suffering. Please, my lady, forgive me. I leave my fate in your hands." He says it softly, bowing his head before turning away from the clearing and disappearing into the woods. He wanders aimlessly, his mind spinning with thoughts of his mother's death and the consequences of his actions. He can still hear her voice, pleading with him to stop and find another way. But it was too late for that now. There was no going back.
