This story is about Clementine Johnson a 19-year-old woman who is training to be a nurse. When one night she ends up meeting the 1st Duke of Wellington who has mysteriously been resurrected as a vampire. She now has to keep his powers a secret and also has to deal with living with a vampire.

This story is based in the Second World War a few days before the Battle of Britain. Clementine's older brother Barnaby Johnson is in the Royal Air Force and will always try to protect London and stop it from being bombed any more.

Clementine hopes that her brother will be safe. She knows that his job is a very dangerous one. She also hopes that her younger sister Amelia Johnson will be safe. Clementine deeply cares about her family and their safety.

But She is also unsure how her siblings will react if they find out about Wellington and his powers.
