It is currently 10:45 am and Wellington is still peacefully sleeping. A couple of minutes later he starts waking up as he feels an emptiness in his stomach. Suddenly he hears the mysterious voice in his head.

???: You really spared the girl? You didn't want to drink her blood.
Wellington: Get out of my head. I do not want to talk to you. I do not wish to hurt her.
???: How are you going to survive if you keep going out to find random people from the city to feed on? You have to keep almost starving yourself all because you don't want to hurt her!
Wellington: She has cared for me. She has given me somewhere to live and be safe in this mad world. So I will not hurt her or drink her blood just to survive.

???: Why do you rely on this girl that you just met a few days ago to care for you?
Wellington: Because she cares for me she doesn't wish anything bad to happen to me. She helped me yesterday. She just wants to help care for me. I can't take care of myself in this strange and mad world.
???: You are not a human at least not fully. But yet you allow a human to take care of you. You also don't wish to feed on her blood.
Wellington: I know that I'm not fully human anymore. But I will not harm her so get out of my head!
???: Fine go be with your human friend.

Wellington slowly sits up in bed and the door slowly opens and Clementine stares at him with concern. Then she starts speaking in a slightly concerned tone.

Clementine: Arthur are you alright I heard you talking to yourself.
Wellington: The voice spoke to me again.
Clementine: I see.
Wellington: It keeps talking about you. It wants me to drink your blood. I don't know who this voice is but it seems I'm the only one who can hear them.
Clementine: I see that is quite concerning.

Wellington: I feel like I'm going mad. Am I going mad?
Clementine: No Arthur at least I don't think that you are.
Wellington: I just wish I knew why this voice started speaking to me. Other than it wants me to drink your blood.
Clementine: Were they talking to you before we met?
Wellington: No they weren't they have only been talking to me since I met you.
Clementine: Interesting.

Wellington's stomach quietly growls and he awkwardly stares at Clementine. Clementine starts speaking in a calm voice.

Clementine: Do you need to feed?
Wellington: No I just want a normal breakfast.
Clementine: I'm guessing that you want some fruit?
Wellington: Yes. Maybe an orange perhaps.
Clementine: After you have breakfast I have a treat for you that I bought in London this morning.
Wellington: I did notice that you left. My ears are sensitive to a lot of noise.

Clementine: I see.
Wellington: It's mostly the high-pitched noises that really hurt my ears.
Clementine: I see.
Wellington: I'm going to have my breakfast.
Clementine: Alright.

Wellington calmly gets out of bed and walks into the kitchen. Then he sits at the table and gently grabs an orange from the fruit bowl. He then begins carefully peeling the orange. Clementine happily walks over to him and sits down next to him. She starts speaking in a calm and pleasant voice.

Clementine: I can tell that are trying to be careful.
Wellington: Yes my strength can also be a problem at times. But sometimes it's also helpful. I don't really want my hands to be covered in orange juice.
Clementine: That is understandable orange juice can make your hands feel a bit sticky.
Wellington: Indeed.

Wellington finishes peeling the orange and begins eating it. A few minutes later he finishes the orange and then he awkwardly stares at Clementine. He then starts speaking in a calm and slightly cheerful voice.

Wellington: You said that you have something for me.
Clementine: Yes, I have some chocolate for you.
Wellington: What the drink?
Clementine: No a chocolate bar.
Wellington: What is a chocolate bar?

Clementine: It's basically made up of many ingredients but it has a similar ingredient to the drink.
Wellington: Interesting.
Clementine: Do you want to try it?
Wellington: Alright I guess I will try it.
Clementine: I'm sure that you will enjoy it, Arthur.

Clementine gets up from her seat and grabs the chocolate bar off the counter and opens it. Then she gently breaks a piece of chocolate off the chocolate bar. She then happily walks over to Wellington and holds the piece of chocolate out to him. He awkwardly and gently grabs it. Wellington then eats the piece of chocolate and smiles slightly. Then he starts speaking in a slightly cheerful voice.

Wellington: I haven't tasted something so sweet and delicious before.
Clementine: I'm glad you like it.
Wellington: I want to have more.
Clementine: I don't want you to have too much chocolate.
Wellington: Why? What would something so small like that do? Don't be so ridiculous.
Clementine: Well eating too much isn't that good for you.

Wellington: Really?
Clementine: Yes, it's not good to eat too much chocolate.
Wellington: I understand I guess.
Clementine: What are you going to do today?
Wellington: Read.
Clementine: I could go get the book that you didn't finish for you.
Wellington: Thank you, Clementine.

Clementine calmly walks off to go get the book for Wellington. A couple of minutes later Clementine walks over to Wellington and gently places the book down in front of Wellington. Who gently opens the book and begins flipping through the book trying to remember what page he was on. Eventually, he gets to the page he was on and starts carefully reading the book. An hour later Wellington stops reading and quietly sighs to himself. Clementine starts speaking in a calm voice.

Clementine: What is it, Arthur?
Wellington: I'm just questioning if I'm the only one who was brought back to life.
Clementine: Possibly. Or maybe you are not the only one. Maybe more people have been brought back to life.
Wellington: I'm also questioning why I'm hearing a voice in my head.
Clementine: That is something I don't know the answer to Arthur.

Wellington: I'm worried that I have possibly lost my sanity. Due to being brought back into this world. I don't belong here.
Clementine: You haven't lost your sanity. You still seem sane to me.
Wellington: Really?
Clementine: Yes Arthur.
Wellington: I just have so many questions about the state of this world as well. My mind is full of questions.
Clementine: I understand that Arthur. If I was in your situation my mind would also be full of questions.

A few minutes later Wellington begins to calmly read the book again. A couple of minutes later Clementine places a bowl of pumpkin soup in front of Wellington. Wellington stops reading the book and gently puts it down beside him. Then he starts eating the pumpkin soup. Clementine cheerfully smiles and she starts speaking in a cheerful voice.

Clementine: Do you like it, Arthur?
Wellington: Yes, I do like it. It's delicious.
Clementine: I'm glad that you like it. Because there is enough left over to have for dinner.
Wellington: You are good at cooking things.
Clementine: Thank you I mainly learnt from my mother.

A few minutes later, Wellington finishes his pumpkin soup. Then he grabs the book and gets out of his seat. He then walks over to the sofa and sits down and begins happily reading the book. A few hours later it is now 6:30 pm and Wellington is peacefully sleeping. Clementine quietly walks over to Wellington trying to not disturb him. But Wellington slowly opens his eyes and awkwardly stares at Clementine. He then starts speaking in a slightly confused tone.

Wellington: What are you doing?
Clementine: I was going to put the book away.
Wellington: I see.
Clementine: Sorry for disturbing you.
Wellington: No it's fine. I'm well rested anyway.

Clementine smiles and calmly walks over to the nearby side table and gently grabs the book. Then she walks off and goes to put the book away. Wellington gets up off the sofa and walks over to the table which has two bowls of pumpkin soup on it. Then he sits down at the table and begins eating the pumpkin soup. Clementine then walks over to the table and sits down and begins eating her pumpkin soup. Wellington then starts speaking in a calm voice.

Wellington: I'm not sure what I'm going to do tomorrow Clementine. Honestly, I haven't really figured out what I can do in this world.
Clementine: Well there are plenty of things to do in London. Maybe once you learn to control your powers we can visit a few places in London.
Wellington: The problem is when will I control my powers? That's the only problem. Because well I don't really want to be burned to death by the sun.
Clementine: I'm sure that you will figure out how to control them eventually Arthur. Don't give up.

A few minutes later he finishes eating the pumpkin soup and awkwardly stares at the clock which reads 7:15 pm. He then quietly sighs to himself and Clementine starts speaking in a calm voice.

Clementine: Patience Arthur.
Wellington: Yes, I know I need to be patient.

A couple of hours later Wellington is standing outside staring at the fiery sunset. Suddenly he hears the door open behind him and he turns around and stares at Clementine. Clementine smiles and starts speaking in a calm voice.

Clementine: Stay safe Arthur and don't get caught.
Wellington: I won't and I will stay safe. I know how to defend myself.
Clementine: I guess I will see you in the morning.
Wellington: Yes. Good night Clementine.
Clementine: Good night Arthur.

Clementine walks back inside and gently closes the door behind her. Wellington spreads his wings and then takes off into the sunset. A couple of hours later Wellington is calmly flying over London looking down at the quiet and desolate city. Suddenly he notices someone lying on a roof of a building with an empty bottle in their hand.

*Wellington in thought*
How did they get up there?

It also seems that they are also drunk. How on earth would a drunk person get on top of a building without injuring themselves?

There are so many mad people in this world.

Wellington carefully lands on top of the building and awkwardly stares at the man.

*Wellington in thought*
Do I recognise this man?

He seems familiar. But I doubt that it's him. Because why would he come to England? He hated us. What would his reason be for coming here anyway if it is him?

Wellington cautiously approaches the man. Suddenly the man opens his eyes and stares at Wellington. Then his eyes begin glowing a fiery red out of slight rage. He slowly gets up and spreads his jet black wings which have some cuts on them. Wellington starts speaking in a slightly nervous voice while backing up slightly.

Wellington: Easy Marshal I'm not here to hurt you.
Marshal Ney: You bastard. You caused my life to be ended! And now I have been reborn into this world full of madness! I don't know why I am here but I know that I want to destroy you for what you did!
Wellington: What do you mean I caused your life to be ended?
Marshal Ney: I don't remember much but all I remember is many gunshots. Then everything went dark. Someone killed me!
Wellington: Well it wasn't me if that's what you think.

Marshal Ney suddenly violently swings the empty wine bottle and hits Wellington over the head. Causing the bottle to shatter sending shards of glass everywhere. Wellington keeps his balance and ignores the pain of the small cuts on his face. Marshal Ney goes to kick Wellington in the stomach. But Wellington hastily grabs his leg and then slams him down onto the roof. Wellington sighs out of frustration and he starts speaking in an irritated tone.

Wellington: I don't want to fight. We are both in the same situation of not knowing why we are in this world.
Marshal Ney: You caused me to get killed in my past life! And now I have the chance to get my revenge!

Marshal Ney quickly gets up and goes to punch Wellington in the face. But Wellington stops the punch by grabbing Marshal Neys wrist. Then he kicks Marshal Ney in the stomach knocking him backwards slightly. Wellington starts speaking in a slightly calmer voice.

Wellington: Please don't make me hurt you any more than this.
Marshal Ney: You ruined it all!
Wellington: I don't understand. It also seems that you possibly aren't well Marshal.
Marshal Ney: I'm fine!
Wellington: You don't seem fine to me Marshal.

Marshal Ney goes to tackle Wellington. But Wellington dodges out of the way by flying up into the air. Marshal Ney then flies up into the air. Wellington begins flying away and Marshal Ney starts chasing him.

*Wellington in thought*
Something is not right with him.

I don't understand how I caused his death. I had nothing to do with it. We never met during the war. We also didn't meet after the war. I don't know why he is blaming me.

I'm surprised that he is chasing me, especially with the injuries on his wings.

But I'm wondering how he got to London. Paris is really far away from London. So I have no idea how he got here.

Surely he will stop chasing me eventually.

Thirty minutes later Wellington notices that Marshal Ney is chasing him. He then quietly sighs to himself out of slight frustration and irritation. Then he starts yelling out of irritation.

Wellington: You know it would be better if we worked together to figure out why we have been brought back into this world!
Marshal Ney: Why would I want to work with the one who caused me to die in my past life!?
Wellington: For the last time I didn't cause you to get killed in your past life! We didn't even meet after the war! Also apparently you don't even really remember how you died!
Marshal Ney: I won't work with you! I want my revenge!
Wellington: Fine have it your way!

Wellington continues flying on and Marshal Ney continues chasing him. An hour and thirty minutes later Marshal Ney suddenly flies into Wellington. Causing them both to start falling out of the sky. Wellington regains control of his flight and carefully lands on the ground. Marshal Ney doesn't manage to regain control of his flight and hits the ground hard. Wellington begins hastily walking towards Clementine's house. A couple of minutes later he opens the door and enters the house.

Quickly and gently closing the door behind himself Wellington stands there and takes a few deep breaths. Suddenly Marshal Ney violently kicks the door causing it to fall onto the ground. Marshal Ney starts yelling in an enraged tone.

Marshal Ney: I will have my vengeance!
Wellington: Stop trying to fight. We can figure out why we were brought back together!
Marshal Ney: I will never work with you!
Wellington: I really don't want to fight!
Marshal Ney: You will pay for everything you did!

Suddenly they both hear a loud and slightly familiar click noise. Wellington looks over and notices that Clementine is holding a rifle in her hands. Marshal Ney stares at Clementine out of slight fear. Clementine starts speaking in a calm yet serious voice.

Clementine: Who the hell are you and why are you in my house? And why are you wanting to kill Arthur?

Marshal Ney feels an extreme amount of fear rushing through him. Suddenly he falls onto his knees and looks up at Clementine. Clementine carefully puts the rifle down and calmly approaches Marshal Ney. Kneeling down beside him she gently puts her hand on his shoulder. Marshal Ney starts whispering out of fear.

Marshal Ney: Please don't hurt me.
Clementine: I'm not going to hurt you.
Marshal Ney: Then why do you have a gun? Also, you are a girl and I think it's unusual for a girl to have a gun.
Clementine: I use it to hunt things. It's also useful to have in case someone breaks into my house.
Marshal Ney: Just keep it away from me.
Clementine: Deep breaths I can tell that you are terrified. I won't hurt you.

Marshal Ney suddenly passes out from fear but mainly from exhaustion. Wellington starts speaking in a slightly awkward tone.

Wellington: Is he alright?
Clementine: I think he's just in shock and I think he might also be tired.
Wellington: I also need some sleep. He chased me here and that took a lot out of me.
Clementine: He also seems injured. Did you do this Arthur?
Wellington: No I have no idea what happened to his wings.
Clementine: I will have to stitch some of these cuts up. I will try and do it without disturbing him he does need to rest.

Wellington: Well, I'm going to go to bed.
Clementine: Alright good night Arthur.
Wellington: Good night Clementine.

Wellington calmly walks off to his room and enters it then gently closes the door behind him. Clementine gently picks Marshal Ney up and carries him over to the sofa. She gently puts him down on the sofa and stares at him with slight concern.

*Clementine in thought*
He wanted to possibly kill Arthur. But why does he want to do that?

Also, who is he? I don't even know who he is. But it seems that he and Arthur know each other.

I'm also wondering what happened to his wings and why they have so many cuts on them.

I guess I better go get my things to stitch the cuts up.

Clementine calmly walks off to go get her supplies to stitch up Marshal Neys wings. A few hours later Marshal Ney starts waking up and he notices that something warm and soft is covering him. He also hears a lot of noise near him and he smells an unfamiliar smell nearby. Marshal Ney slowly opens his eyes and stares at the ceiling. Clementine notices that Marshal Ney is awake and she slowly approaches him trying to not scare him again. Marshal Neys eyes start to flicker between blue and red.

Clementine notices this and stops approaching him. She then starts speaking in a calm voice.

Clementine: May I ask who you are?
Marshal Ney: Why do you need to know that?
Clementine: Well it's just that it seems you and Arthur know each other. I would like to know your name.
Marshal Ney: I am Marshal Michel Ney of France. I was second in command in Emperor Napoleons Army.
Clementine: I feel like I have heard of you. But why do you want to kill Arthur?

Marshal Ney: Isn't it obvious girl? We were enemies in our past lives.
Clementine: There is no war for you to fight in anymore. You don't need to fight.
Marshal Ney: I also don't know what year it is.
Clementine: It's the year 1940.
Marshal Ney: I'm over 100 years in the future.
Clementine: Yes.

Marshal Ney slowly sits up and awkwardly stares at Clementine. Clementine starts speaking in a calm voice.

Clementine: I would suggest not moving around too much you seem to be quite injured.
Marshal Ney: What did you do to me?
Clementine: I stitched up your wings. They had a lot of bad cuts on them. What happened to you?
Marshal Ney: A lot of crazy drunk people attacked me when I was still in Paris. It took me around 5 days to get to London.
Clementine: I see. That is concerning.
Marshal Ney: Anything else that you need to know? I want to get some more rest.

Clementine: Are you feeling alright after last night?
Marshal Ney: Well, I slept well. Which hasn't been happening often these past few days. Mainly nightmares. Or just a lot of noise.
Clementine: What do you have nightmares about?
Marshal Ney: I don't feel comfortable explaining.
Clementine: I understand. You can go back to sleep now if you want. I don't have any more questions.

Marshal Ney carefully lies back down and slowly closes his eyes and enters a deep and peaceful sleep.

*Clementine in thought*
How am I going to get him and Arthur to get along? I don't want them to try to hurt each other or kill each other.

I guess I better continue making breakfast. I can sort out the situation with fixing their relationship later.

Clementine walks back over to the kitchen and continues making breakfast.

To be Continued...

I hope that you guys enjoyed reading this chapter. I decided to make Wellington not be the only vampire in this story. Just to make the story a bit more interesting.

Also, do you think Wellington and Marshal Ney will get along?
