Warfstache

I stand face to face with the man himself, Warfstache. Yellow shirt, pink stache, silver revolver. It's Wilford Warfstache, the colonel.

"Damien didn't say anything about a child being here."

Wilford sounds like a normal person and wears the same outfit as he always does, but he is far from being a normal person.

What do I even say to him? What can I say?

"Tell me young lady, what is your name?" He asks intrigued, clasping his hands together.

"...My names, Jada."

"Ah, Jada!" He grins. "What an interesting name!"

"Might I say, that necklace you're wearing! It's really pretty on you."

I look down at the clover necklace, it shines off the reflection. But Wilford actually noticed it. "Um, thanks Wilford."

This was never supposed to be real, this whole Alter Ego shenanigan is starting to make me feel more uncomfortable than I've ever been...

"So Jada, why are you here, in this house? Tell me, why?" He asks beginning to wave his gun around. The sight of it frightens me which makes me shiver coldly.

"I-"

"No, don't answer." He stops me before I say a word.

"I know exactly why you're here. And I can't wait until chaos will be released onto a new world. Better yet, I won't have boundaries in that world!"

"Boundaries..?" I ask confused.

He takes a big step closer to me and lifts up his weapon. Close to my face.

"Eep!"

He's inches away from me and I don't dare risk running. One bullet could easily paralyze me, let alone kill. The charm glows weakly on my chest.

"I have obstacles, but that's none of your bloody business! But I don't have any obstacles if I go to your world so I would be able to do what I like!"

He waves his gun around, chuckling to himself while I have a horrible feeling in the pit of my stomach. A feeling of anxiousness creeps over me.

Protect me lucky charm. Please please..

The clover charm begins to glow brighter.

"What game are you trying to play?" I say sternly, being as brave as possible.

"Game?" He turns to me intrigued.

Oh no...

He laughs, the shadows crowding us in a way against me. To attack and threaten me.

"I love to play games, they're such a time killer. And I, have a game to play with you."

My breathing begins to pace as Wilford slowly turns his weapon, and pushes it against my forehead. My back has been against the wall the whole time so I have nowhere to run. The coldness of the metal gun sends chills through my whole body.

I'm too paralyzed with fear to move and my heart beats faster with every growing second.

"You don't need to be alive to get the job done, I know how this bloody works. Damien doesn't. Do you have any last words?" He smirks.

I shut my eyes tightly, fearful. Am I really going to die like this?

"No, stop! Don't give up now!"

Ahh, that voice! I...

"What is going on here~?!" Both mine and Wilford's head snaps in the direction of the voice.

There in the doorway stands Damien, clearly shocked from this scenario. But he is also furious. It's not that hard to tell.

Wilford jolts away, pulling the gun from my head. It seems that Wilford doesn't want to get on his bad side, either.

"Lily, Axel!" My dogs race toward me and I've never been so happy to see a pair of animals. I appreciate every second of their warmth and excited breathing and I hug them close in an embrace. I'm so happy to see those two!

"I thought I told you to watch the house, that doesn't mean you are allowed to kill her~!!"

The way Damien suddenly snaps startles me and I look up to see the two beside me. Something's about to go down...

"Bloody hell, Damien! You didn't even tell me she was here!"

"I had her locked in a room, of course you knew she was here~!"

"Why would I unlock her door, huh?! There is no point!"

It's trippy to watch them argue as the two Mark's argue in front of me. Both of them look fairly identical, because they're the same person.

"Don't~!!"

I yelp as my shirt gets tugged on and I'm pulled to my feet. I'm slammed against the wall and things tumble and fall on top of me. My skin splits from the glass and ornaments that shatter and cut my skin, tears of pain blur my vision.

I quickly scramble away as the two begin to battle each other, I limp in pain to get away from the fight. Axel and Lily chase after me and I notice a huge box near the downstairs bathroom.

"Jada, where are you Jada~?!" Anger burns in Damien's voice which fills me with a deep sense of desperation to get away. I grab the dogs and crawl in the box and close the flaps down.

Thankfully, they stay down but I sit in a crouch position while the dogs squirm around my arms in the darkness.

My heart is raised to my throat and I cover my breathing with a spare hand. The stinging pain of my wounds is unbearable and I feel myself getting colder. Am I losing consciousness?

"There you are~!"

The sound is faint from his voice and I barely hear it. But it's the last thing I hear before my consciousness drifts off.

* * *

I feel myself slowly waking up to faint voices in the background, but my mind can't comprehend who they are right now.

Are you, awake? This is a voice I haven't heard before, I groan and rub my eyes tiredly.

I look up to see a dog staring down at me, too close for comfort. I scream startled, jolting from where I am. I land on the ground with a fall, I groan as I hurt my arms and legs.

"Oh my, she's awake!"

"Why did you scream, you need to rest~!"

I notice that I was lying on the couch, and the dog that was looking at me was Chica. Mark's dog, almost..!

You get scared fairly easily it seems, that is weak.

My eyes widen with shock. It's definitely the same voice she was given in the Dark VS Anti video, but when she talked to me, her jaw didn't move!

That is a physic sense, if you didn't know. If I can talk to you through your head then I can hear what you think to me.

This is Dark Chica then! I can't believe she can read my mind, let alone speak to me! This is all getting too crazy!

"Jada, relax. You got injured from the fragments. I patched you up but you still have to rest~."

Damien crouches down in front of me, wary and calm. In the very back, I notice my clothes in the washing basket, and I'm now wearing summer pajamas. Oh no...

Don't worry, your phone and the bobby pins are on your bed. Damien doesn't know your scheme, yet. And your charm.

Its still on my neck.

I shiver, only having a thin pair of shorts and a shirt on a cold winter surely isn't relaxing.

I let out an eep as Damien picks me up and places me down near the fireplace. His comfort is warm and calm, which makes me forget the current problem with him for the time being.

"How'd you get out of your room Jada? Did you find a way to unlock it or~..."

Damien seems reluctantly calm at the moment but there is a slight anger behind his tone. It makes me hesitant to answer.

There was a key slightly in front of the door and I shifted my hand underneath to get it. Go.

Why is she helping me? Aren't they supposed to be against me?

"There was a key slightly in front of the door and I shifted my hand underneath to get it." I repeat what she had told me, which Damien eyes me suspiciously.

"I don't remember dropping a key. But I was in a slight rush so I might not have noticed~." He replies thoughtfully.

I actually got away with that!

If you feed me I will continue to help you. If not, under any circumstances, you and your scheme will fail. I know what you're trying to do.

I merely do a hidden shrug but that sends chills down my spine. Doing that should be easy enough. It's just feeding her right?

I begin to warm up from the heat of the fire, I lie down in front of it and begin to relax.

"Warmer now~?"

I look up at Damien who awaits my answer.

"Thanks, Damien."

Damien is a little confusing.

Aggressive, calm, respectful, imitating, kind, anxious, deadly, gentle. You can never be properly sure how to act with him, and whether or not you should feel safe. I don't know if I feel safe right now. But I won't feel safe, sooner or later.

The warmth around the fire and the sound of it gently burning is quite relaxing. It calms me down and I seem to lower my guard a little, although I know I shouldn't.

"Does anyone want to eat my food?!"

Me and Damien both have a small laugh as we watch Warfstache walk into the room like a complete dingus. Messing with pots and pans he's holding which currently has food in it.

"What are you making?" I ask.

"You have to wait, food is good when it's not spoiled!" He chuckles.

Damien rolls his eyes but he's clearly amused. "Just go finish the food~."

When Wilford walks off, I get a teensy bit nervous.

"Damien..?"

"Yeah~?"

"Does Wilford have access to stuff like poison or meds?" I whisper.

"No, the cabinets are locked from him too. He can't add any even if he tried~."

I lower my head back down and shut my eyes. These past few weeks has been the strangest of my life. And to know the fact that others are also in danger adds the cherry on top.

When I get out of here, I'm going to end this waiting game of terror.
