R E S C U E
Today has been a strange, long day. Nothing else has happened and I haven't heard from the voices for the rest of the day, which petrifies me. It doesn't feel like a good sign.
It's currently around ten thirty at night and two hours ago I saw Bonnie finish one of his recordings with an outro. I don't think he'd be there now.
"Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark! Bark!"
I look over to see Lilly and Axel barking madly out the window.
I yawn then stumble over to them tiredly.
"Lilly! Axel. This isn't the time of-"
One look out the window is all it took. Bonnie's recording room is completely flashing with lights, on and off repeatedly.
His chris- I mean decoration lights, ring lights, normal lights, all of them are flickering on and off. Not just that, but I can catch a glimpse behind the house that lights are flickering there too.
Is it the whole house?
To get the dogs to be quiet, I put them in my bed and throw the blanket on them. They struggle a little before starting to calm down.
I peek through the curtains again. They're still blaring over and over with light. Flashing like a signal.
I pick up my phone and dial his home number.
It continues to ring and ring. I stamp my foot impatiently. Pick up the damn phone!
I hear a beep on the other end and I feel emotionally exhausted. Voicemail.
"Do you understand me? Nobody does~..."
I jump startled. That's NOT the voice I'm supposed to hear! I quickly hang up the phone then drop to the floor exhausted.
Breathe Jada, breathe!
I feel Lily and Axel nuzzle me to give me comfort, and it calms me down at least a little bit. I really need that especially after all of this.
Breathe in, breathe out.
I pick up the phone with shaky hands and ring his cell.
One ring, two rings, three.
I pull my phone away from my ear as loud, blasting static blows through my phone.
"Bonnie! Bonnie are you there?!" I speak loudly, trying to get through to him.
I don't hear his reply. Instead, all I hear is the ear-piercing static and a chilling, creepy laugh in the background.
I hang up the phone then look out the window. The lights are still flickering, but it seems more aggressive this time.
I start to feel nervous and squeamish, I'm worried about Bonnie. Would it be worth risking?
I shake my head rapidly. No! I can't stand the fact that he might be in some sort of danger! I have to do something!
I quickly change back into the clothes I had on today, grab my silver flashlight and my cell phone in my pocket.
I take a deep breath and slowly start to feel the warmth of the clothes in me. I can't go through the front door, I'm not even supposed to be up at this hour.
Quietly, my door doesn't make a noise as I sneak into the attic.
I see a bunch of rope and my eyes lighten up. I'll need to use it in order to get out.
*Creeeeeaaaaak*
My heart drops, it's in the middle of the room.
I take a couple more steps and try to be as silent as possible. If my father knew what I was planning, I wouldn't hear the end of it. I bend down to reach it but my arm is too short.
C'mon, get it!
I lean in a little more, waving my arm around. Yes!!
I pick up the rope and climb down the ladder. Once I'm at the bottom, I look around. No sign of dad.
I give a silent sigh of relief then sneak back to my room. I kneel down against the window and tie the rope around the window sill. I tie a knot then pull at the rope. It's as tight as can be. Wouldn't wanna fall.
I take one more deep breath and throw the rest of the unraveled rope over the side of the house. I grab the rope and slowly and cautiously climb over the side.
Oh, my, god. This is a baaaad idea!
With each step I climb down to makes me feel worse by the second. It feels so easy without any support, and one little slip could screw it all entirely. Once I finally make it to the ground, all my fears and pressure has been lifted. I can progress...
But as I look toward the house, I still have one more obstacle. My face becomes straight and I feel determined. I have one reason why I'm out here...
I trot toward his house and stand in front of his door.
I lean toward the door and knock on it with the back of my hand.
Knock, Knock, Knock. "Bonnie, are you home?"
. . .
No reply.
"O-Okay, I'm coming in!"
Normally you shouldn't enter people's homes without a good reason, but this is serious. This isn't an everyday problem.
The door creaks open at the slightest touch of the door nob. I shiver nervously as I stand in the cold. But that's not the only thing that gets me. The whole house. Hallway, bathroom, lounge, kitchen. All the lights are flickering like some kind of abandoned mental asylum.
My legs feel like jelly as I turn on my flashlight and take a couple steps inside the house.
*SLAM!*
I zip around, nearly jumping out of my skin to see the door slammed shut. It made the house shake! What slammed it?
Could it have been the wind..?
"B-Bonnie? I-If this is a joke it's not funny!" I call out stuttering.
But I don't get a reply. All I hear is the constant flicker of the lights. And the chilling laugh I heard on the other side of the static call.
My body goes cold through fear. I want to run back to the safety of my bed, but what if Bonnie is in danger..?
Tears threaten to spill out my eyes but I shake my head, determined. I've come thus far, I can't back out now!
With one swift movement, I try to call Bonnie's number again.
Ring, ring, ring, "Jada?"
My mouth widens with shock, my heart skips a beat. I got through to him! I let out a sigh of relief, smiling gently. There isn't any static either!
"Bonnie whats going on?"
"Where are you..?"
"In your house. Sorry, I got worried."
Bonnie becomes silent, which makes me tense up. His silence is almost petrifying, it doesn't feel right. Say something..!
"GET OUT!"
I jump at his sudden shout. Why'd he yell at me?!
"What!?"
"Get out now, it's dangerous!"
At that instinct, I hear footsteps behind me. Real footsteps. Automatically I zip around.
"OH MY..!"
"JADA!"
