E S C A P E

Behind me the door is open, and a glitchy, twitchy figure wearing black clothes slowly shuts the door.

It doesn't take me long to figure out who that is and exactly what's happening. But this is a lot to take in, he's glitching and twitching, this shouldn't be real! He's not supposed to physically be here!

"Hide! Now!" Bonnie orders.

I have enough time so I silently dash up the stairs, into Bonnie's room and shut the door behind me.

The bed sheets from Bonnie's bed are hanging quite low, and there's enough room for me to hide under there. Under the bed is a quick thought and it's a big bed too.

I don't think twice when I hear fast pacing footsteps in the hallway below me, making their way to the upstairs. I quickly slide under the bed and pull the sheets down to cover my spot. Might not be the safest but when is a hiding spot in the house ever a good place?

"Got to go!" I whisper in a fast pace.

"Be safe! Meet us in the forest!"

He hangs up the phone, leaving me in this heart-racing state. We? His family, surely...

"O̵n̷e̴,̵ ̷t̶w̶o̷,̸ ̸A̵n̸t̷i̸'̶s̸ ̷c̷o̷m̷i̷n̶g̵ ̷f̸o̸r̶ ̸y̴o̸u̶!̴"

I hear his distant singing in the hallway on this floor, his voice is all glitchy and tinny, and he laughs at random points at times. I shut my eyes and begin to pray. Hoping this all a dream. Hoping this will go away. Wishing this never happened. Hoping for-

I hear the door suddenly swing loudly and even hit the wall. I jump from the noise, chills run through my body. My eyes shoot open and I cover my mouth and nose with both hands to deafen my breathing.

"̴W̷h̶e̷r̷e̶ ̶a̴r̸e̵ ̷y̶o̷u̴ ̸n̷o̸w̶?̵ ̵D̵o̴n̷'̷t̶ ̴m̵a̶k̶e̵ ̷m̷e̵ ̷c̵o̸m̸e̵ ̸a̶n̶d̶ ̶f̸i̴n̶d̶ ̶y̸o̵u̸.̸.̶.̸"̸

That voice..! That's the same voice as one of the voices in my head. I squeeze my eyes shut and I feel a tear roll down my face. Every noise makes me jump. He giggles and laughs to himself as he paces around the room, searching every nook and cranny.

Please leave, please leave, please leave..!

"̴Y̷o̸u̷ ̶c̵a̴n̸'̵t̵ ̴e̶s̷c̶a̷p̶e̷ ̷m̶e̸!̵ ̸N̴O̷B̶O̴D̸Y̴ ̸C̸A̴N̵!̷ ̴W̸H̴E̸R̴E̴ ̷A̸R̶E̴ ̴Y̶O̶U̵?̷!̷ ̵H̸e̴h̴e̴h̵e̶h̶e̷h̷e̵.̴.̷.̶"̵ He seems to get angrier by the minute, but I don't want to leave.

A thin string of hope plays in my heart as I hear him slowly walk out, close the door, and walk down the hallway.

I sit there for a couple minutes waiting, just to be sure. I don't want him to find me. Once I finally have enough confidence, I lift the covers. Nothing there. It's too silent for my liking.

I crawl a little from under the bed then look around. Nobody in sight. It's just me. The lights stopped flickering in this room. Is he gone?

I climb up and silently walk to the door. I open the door ajar and peek out. The hallway stopped flickering too! The whole house is back to normal. But, I still don't feel quite safe. I still feel quite on edge. Maybe I'm supposed to...

The windows and doors are wide open, revealing the snowy land. Bonnie told me to stay safe and meet him in the forest. The forest is a straight left, which is a walk to some waterfall. That's what he said anyway. But the waterfall is a half hour walk and he would've said meet at the waterfall if he was there. He must be somewhere in the forest itself.

I start to walk outside, looking to be sure of my surroundings. I walk out to the snowy land and into the dark star like moonlight. But that's not important. I have to meet up with Bonnie. That's the priority for now.

I walk throughout the forest looking around for Bonnie and his family.

"B-Bonnie? Are y-you there?!" I call.

My voice echoes through the forest loudly, but I don't get anything in return. The only sounds I get is steps in the snow and the cold breeze on my neck.

I shiver nervously. He wouldn't go back on his word, would he?

After walking around for five minutes I see a figure in warm clothes. I stop in my tracks, hesitating.

They're pacing around in the forest, but their back is turned. I ignore them and walk right past. It wasn't Bonnie's figure, I know for a fact. Right now, I can't trust anything but that.

I stop moving as I feel a hand on my shoulder. My body goes cold and tense. I move my eyes toward the hand which is got a  strong grip on my shoulder.

Stained with blood.

I squint my eyes shut and hope for them to go away or loosen their grip. My pace in breathing begins to be more rapid.

Bonnie, please, come save me.

"̵Y̷o̵u̶'̵r̸e̸ ̴s̵o̸ ̴s̶t̶u̴b̵b̷o̸r̴n̶.̶ ̸N̷o̸t̶ ̷e̶v̷e̵n̴ ̷g̶o̶i̶n̷g̴ ̴t̸o̶ ̵l̷o̴o̶k̷ ̸u̵p̸ ̷a̸t̸ ̶m̸e̸?̵"̶

Before I can do anything my face gets turned with his hand.

"̶̰͔̠̒H̴̼̦̓͑À̵̹̰̊͐H̴̘̰̋ͅȀ̵̢̱͈H̴̛̪̲̹͗Ȁ̶̧̏͝H̴͇̣͙̄͝À̴͓̩ͅH̸̢͖̪͊̂̒A̷͓̔Ȟ̵̢Ä̶̖̲́̉͝!̶͉̀̿͆"̷̡͇̾͛

His pitch black eyes stare deep into my soul, making my skin crawl. His chilling laughter sends dread through me entirely. Everything about this is wrong and terrifying.

Everything about him is horrid and distorted. But he knows I feel this way. Everything screams that a guy like him, wants something like this.

His grip on my neck is tight and sore and he holds me in a way that I can't escape. Just as I'm about to scream, he puts a cloth on my face. I know how this goes.

He twirls me around and wraps his other arm around me, keeping my body and arms uncomfortable but in place.

I struggle with all my might in any way I can, but my strength begins to drain away with every second the cloth is on my face. My eyes become heavy and my fighting becomes weaker.

The last thing I see is Bonnie's real figure running toward us at the end of the forest before my head drops into unconsciousness.
