Okay, first of all. I'm no expert. I came to this app with no intention of writing. But I have been writing since 2017, I hope I've learnt a thing or two about writing. Here are the few things which I'd love to share with you.

1. Don't compare yourself with others work.

I keep telling myself this over and over again, but I still do it sometimes. It's a very annoying trait of mine. When you compare, you lose confidence in yourself. Which ultimately stops me from writing anything further. So yes, my number one tip/advice is don't ever compare yourself with others. Everyone has a unique style. It took me a while to embrace mine. I hope you do too.

2. Write daily.

Even if it's just sixty or hundred words. Write D.A.I.L.Y. Writing everyday helped me a lot. You'll definitely see the changes within yourself when you focus on writing everyday. It helps fight the writer's block as well.

{ Sounds interesting, I am gonna try this. }

3. Read a lot.

I know it's a repeated tip. But trust me, you don't believe how much reading other's works has inspired me. Read your own work. Read the works similar to your genre. Explore more.

4. Write with the aim to finish the work.

I always do this. I start a book with a aim of completing it. I hate unfinished works. And I'm very particular about completing what I begin. You'll gather more readers if you're going to finish writing stories. No one wants to read an incomplete story.

{ Means I am not the only one who waits for the complete mark on a book! }

5. Stop giving too much irrelevant details.

Sometimes we write things which doesn't even have any impact to the story. Most of the time I skip reading all the details of a dress or about the bedroom/ bathroom. I'm not saying you shouldn't write at all. But please keep it simple and crisp. When you extend over 200 words just explaining a simple dress, it gets pretty boring. Again, it's upto you :D

{ I can relate with you, author. }

6. Use simple language.

7. Update Regularly.

This particular tip is for Wattpad writers. You can gain more readers if you are able to update frequently. No one likes waiting forever for a single update. So be consistent in your updates.

8. Use different apps like grammarly or sentencecheckup for improving your content.

Grammarly is my personal go to app after every time I complete writing a chapter. I run with the application and correct all my mistakes. Giving better and quality content should also be your aim.

9. Be open to criticism.

Not everyone is going to like what you write and its completely okay.

10. Aim to write good character development which keeps the readers engaging and rooting for your story.

Personally I am going to try the 2nd tip for sure, because I get writer's block almost every month.

Thank you, Shabana!

And I want to mention that when you replied to me, I was like “She is so friendly!”
