The Safe-House
"So what is this place?" Yui asked looking around the small shack we were in. It contained two bedrooms, one bathroom, one kitchen, one dining room, and a living room. "This is the Sakamaki safe-house. You should be safe here, so I think we'll be fine." She nodded. "Thanks for saving me.." She trailed off. "It's the least I could do! You were there for me when nobody else was! I consider you family!" She smiled. "I'm just glad to know that YOU won't try and drink my blood..." I smiled. "That's right. I drink the blood of animals, not humans...I don't think it right to. If regular people can eat animals, so can we." She nodded. "I think that's very nice of you to think that way." I smiled. "As if I would EVER let anybody else hurt you, I would certainly never." She nodded. "I now, Kayla. That's why I'm not worried." I smiled warmly. "Want to go for a walk?" She nodded reluctantly. "It's fine, we're in a remote forest, I just thought you'd like to get out some, so you don't get stir crazy." She nodded. "That sounds...nice."
We were walking through the forest when a little bunny came up to us. It nuzzled Yui's leg, and began to follow us around. I noticed something familiar about its scent... "Chocho?" I asked. The bunny suddenly became a human. 'Correct, Mistress Kayla." I smiled. "Yui, this is our maid, Chocho. She'll take care of the chores around the safe-house." Yui nodded and stared in awe at the girl. She was part bunny, and cold change forms freely, whenever she wanted.
We continued walking, Chocho following closely behind. "So, you can go back and forth between human and rabbit?" She nodded. "That is correct, Mistress Yui." Yui cringed. "You can just call me Yui." Chocho smiled. "Alright then, Yui." Yui smiled happily as her and Chocho began a discussion on what it was like to be part rabbi. I suddenly smelt a familiar smell. "Damn them...I told them not to follow us..." I sighed as I looked upwards. "Come down here, you cowards." I called. "Chocho, take Yui home and activate the barrier." Chocho nodded and sped away with Yui.
All six of my brothers swooped down from the trees. "We knew you'd be coming here..." Reiji smirked. I rolled my eyes. "Woow, that TOTALLY surprised me..." His smirk faded. "Listen, father ORDERED you to return to the manor." I cringed. "Oh, so now you're tattle-tales, huh? Wouldn't that usually be the job a child?" I laughed. Ayato sudden;y stepped forward. "He also said that Yui belonged to us." I felt the rage boiling in my blood. "YOU BASTARDS!" I cried running at him. His eyes widened as he was slammed into the tree. "KAYLA SAKAMAKI!" I felt my body stiffen. "You have acted too childish for my liking. You WILL obey your brothers, and you are NOT to see this Yui girl again, are we CLEAR!?" Father boomed. I felt the tears run down my face "NO! I WON'T LET YOU HURT HER!" He grabbed my wrist and slapped me across my face. "You WILL obey my orders, or how would you like to return to the church, hmm? I'm sure they'd love to try and beat the Satan out of you again." I cringed. "Yes father." I whispered. He smirked. "Good. Now go and retrieve Yui, and you'd BETTER NOT go against me again." He boomed as he disappeared. "Kayla? What did he mean?" Shu asked. I felt the tears run down my cheeks. "ALL THE MEN IN THIS FAMILY ARE THE SAME! YOU'RE ALL SADISTIC BASTARDS AND I HATE EVERY ONE OF YOU!" I cried disappearing back to the shack. "Chocho, pack our things. Father has interfered. Yui, I'm so sorry, but I can't do anything else to help you. I can however give you this." I handed her a silver knife. "I ask that you use it to protect yourself at all costs. I only hope you can survive without me..." I sobbed into her chest. "It's ok Kayla, I'll be just fine." She smiled. I sniffed. "I hope you're right..."
We arrived back at the mansion I had grown to resent. I remembered when I was happy to be here, I can't believe I had expected them to be different. I teleported up to my room, and sobbed into my pillow. I got out the silver knife I kept in my boot and toyed with it. I honestly thought about ending it all right now, but what good what that do anybody? I wouldn't truly be free, just trapped somewhere else. I was laying there, staring at my ceiling when Shu teleported in. "Kayla, what did father mean when he mentioned the church?" I began to chuckle. "As if YOU care. Like all the men in this family all you car about is satisfying you r own selfish desires." I snapped. He sighed. "Listen, we ARE still your family and we do care about you." I laughed. "You sure have twisted ways of showing it. Ripping away my happiness, bringing FATHER into this? That's not how you show love..." He cringed. "We didn't bring father into this, he dropped by to check on you, and forced us to tell him everything." I shoved him out of the room. 'DON'T YOU TALK TO ME! I NEVER WANT TO SEE ANY OF YOU EVER AGAIN!" I sat with my back against the door, my body jerking with violent sobs. I could hear whispering outside my door, but I paid it no mind. I rally just wanted them all to disappear...
