Draco's P.O.V

"So" I looked at the others around me. "How are we going to do this?" We all pondered this and threw ideas around in a circle. "I have an idea" Luna's eyes sparkled as she spoke, meaning this was going to be brilliant. "The nosy trio-" We all had to muffle a laugh at this "Never pass up a conspiracy theory" We all nodded.

"Well, how about leading them on, being sloppy and making them suspect something. Then they snoop and get totally confused, it'll take them a few days, so on the day before everyone comes we'l act normally, just like we do at camp or here." I smirked. 

"That's perfect Luna!" I hugged her and she laughed, "strategy is kind of our thing Draco, on that note any sujestions to how we should do it?" I thought about it for a second. 

"It'd make more since If I tried to talk with a Gryfindor, say Neville or Seamus. As many names as possible should be included. The one I'm thinking of can use three, maybe more" I smirked.

"Since Luna and Neville are dating it would make the most since if we do the last day thing. I ask to speak to Neville alone in front of  them, they'll either obviously hide, or use 'Thanatos rag' as you two call it" I nodded towards Aurora and Trent. 

They sneered at the mention of the insulting rag, Aurora more then Trent, she literally worked with Nico, so I guess she saw it as more of an insult. 

"I pretend to be upset with him, call him by his first name, interrogate him about hurting Luna and acting really over protecting of her. Neville could act really upset that I think he would hurt her, maybe saying 'I thought we were friends' or 'You know me better then that' that he really cares for her" Neville looked frozen.

"You know that's one of my nightmares right? Getting that talk from you or your siblings." I laughed and Luna rolled her eyes. I thought of something else and my words pick up speed, and detail.

"To add I could tell him not to make me get Aurora and Trent into this, something to tie in more people. The aren't really well acquainted with those guys so they'd dig more into them as well. " Everyone was grinning. 

"And this is why we brought TWO Athena kids" Seamus joked and we all laughed. Then I frowned "If only I could involve you Seamus..." I trailed off. Then I had it.

Grinning broadly I continued. "Seamus comes to break it up, ask us whats wrong. Tell me to calm down, that you know I worry about her but Neville's a good guy and I know that. The key part is acting really familiar with each other" they both nodded "Not to hard" Neville smirked. 

"We've only been friends for six years, not very long but I guess acting semi-familiar with each other wouldn't be TO hard" He said sarcastically and we all laughed along with him. 

So we made more situations like that, all involving two people that were'nt suppose to know each other being familiar. Some which involved my little sister in a way I was very not ok with it. Oh well Seamus knows if he took it a step to far both Neville and I would castrate him.

I smirked, one thing was for sure, the 'golden' trio would have no idea what hit them.

It was time for the first one we had discussed, our first attempt. We where in potions, much to the disliking of Neville seeing as Hecate still hadn't let that stupid grudge go. His potion blew up in his face.

"Guess you can't do anything right, can you Longbottem?" I made sure to sound genuinely angry and upset. He looked confused, good acting, I rolled my eyes. I flicked him a note a few minutes later, I smiled smugly as I saw Hermione read it over his shoulder and start whisper to the other two.

It read: You're in so much trouble. I need to talk to you after class, go to the statue of the old witch in the 3rd hallway.

Something like that would definitely get their attention. I smirked down at my potion, to bad I had to do it in this class. It was the only one I knew I could get away with saying that to his face and pass the note without getting in trouble.

He faked looking agitated, and was restless the rest of class. When it finished I went to the statue and waited for him. I noted the trio following us under the cloak, when they found time to put it on was beyond me. 

Neville came and I sneered at him "Good, you showed up" He stopped "Draco what's wrong? Did something happen?" He asked in concern. I sneered at him "Don't give me that, Luna's a mess! The last person she talked to was you! What did you do!" Neville's eyes went wide.

"Draco you know I would never do anything like that, I thought we were friends" I looked at him warily, "We are, until you hurt Luna. I swear if I find out your the reason she's upset I'll get Aurora and Trent involved." He stiffened.

"There's no reason for that, let me talk to her please, I want to make sure shes ok" He basically begged. Then Seamus came in, right on time. "Guys whats going on?" he asked glancing between us. 

"Luna's upset, and Neville was the last one to talk to her!" Seamus rolled his eyes, "really Draco, girls are emotional. I know you care a lot for Luna but people here aren't very nice to her. It kills me but its true. I'm sure it wasn't Nevilles fault." I let my face drop and pulled my hand through my hair.

"I hate that, hearing people be so mean to her and not being able to do a thing about it." Seamus sighed "So do we Drake (A/N:NICKNAME I did not misspell things...) but next time please don't automatically pin it on Nev. You scare him enough" I chuckled.

"Sorry man, can't help it" Neville shrugged "It's fine, though when I do find out, there's gonna be hell to pay. I assume you'll be doing your own kind of payback, Drake?" I nodded. "Absolutely" Seamus put his arms around us "And there you go, Seamus to the rescue" We laughed at him.

"Sure Shay, whatever you say" We both put our arms around his shoulders and laughed.

"Alright we got to go, don't want anyone to know Slytherins ice prince has a heart, right?" I laughed and nodded. "Not for a little while longer. By guys" and we all went our separate ways.

Harry's P.O.V Before the conversation

We were in potions and Draco made another awful comment to Neville, but somehow this one felt more personal, like some how Neville had actually done something seriously wrong. I shrugged the thought off, I don't think Neville was capable of doing anything wrong.

I saw Draco flick something over to him and Hermione read it over his shoulder. Her eyes widened and she leaned over to me and Ron. "Nevilles in some sort of trouble! He's going to meet Draco in front of a witch statue in the 3rd corridor, we should follow and make sure hes ok" She whispered to us we nodded.

Straight after class we put on the cloak, barely fitting all of us under it, and followed after Draco. He waited for Neville to show up, sneering when he did.

"Good, you showed up" I was still focused on Neville, he walked up with a kind of confidence, an easy long stride replaced his usual skittish steps. "Draco,-" What? Draco? since when were they on a first name basis?

"Whats wrong, did something happen?" he sounded concerned, no stuttering or anything. Like having conversations with Draco Malfoy were completely normal. Why would they be concerned about the same thing anyway?

"Don't give me that! Luna's a mess!" Loony Luna Lovegood? Why in Merlin's beard did Draco care about her? Of all people in Hogwarts that would be the last person I suspected Draco to care for. Although he didn't talk like a boyfriend/girlfriend kind of love, more like brother/sister.

"You were the last person she talked to! What did you do!" I just kept getting more and more confused, Neville was talking with Luna? I suppose it wasn't that odd, but it was still a little weird. Why did Draco know that though? And why would anything Neville did affect Luna so much?

Neville looked concerned and offended, concerned I got, but offended didn't make any sense. "Draco!" there was the first name again.

"You know I would never do anything like that" How? Its not like they're friends or anything "I thought we were friends" WHAT?! Ya like Draco has any Gryfindor friends. There's no way- "We are" I felt slightly faint and Ron looked like he was going to be sick.

"Until you hurt Luna" Why was Luna suddenly so important to the both of them. I'd never even seen them nod at each other before and now all of a sudden Draco was like a guard dog and Neville was a love sick puppy.

"I swear if I find out your the reason she''s upset I'll get Aurora and Trent involved" Neville stiffened. Who were Aurora and Trent? I didn't even know people by those names went to Hogwarts. I saw Hermione make a note to look into them (A/N: ANOTHER POINT FOR DRACO'S PLAN!) 

"There's no reason for that" apparently Neville knew who they were. "Let me see her please" He begged and I found myself more confused then ever. Why would Neville need Malfoys permission to see Luna?

"I want to make sure shes ok" and there goes another We <3 Luna comment.

"Guys whats going on?" I turned and saw Seamus, I didn't know whether to be relieved or not. I couldn't remember if him and Neville where friends, or just kind of acquaintances. He seemed comfortable addressing them as a pair, like it was normal for them to be together.

I thought with two Gryfindors in the mix Draco would back down, but it didn't go that way at all. Instead  Draco just complained to Seamus, like he would take Draco's side "Luna's upset and Neville was the last one to talk to her" I expected Seamus to brush it off, and in the beginning that's what it looked like he was doing. 

He rolled his eyes "Really Draco"again with the first name basis thing "girls are emotional" Finally! Someone not obsessed with Luna! "I know you care a lot for Luna" The question was why, and why did Seamus know that?

"but people here, aren't very nice to her" He said here like there was a place where people were nice to her."it kills me" strike that. I began to ponder if there was an 'I love Luna Lovegood' club. "But its true" I flinched, I had sat back plenty of time while people insulted her, and done nothing.

"I'm sure it wasn't Nevilles fault" So apparently they were good enough friends for Seamus to stick up for him in this situation.

"I hate that, hearing people be so mean to her and not being able to do anything about it" Draco ran a hand through his hair and looked genuinely concerned about the girl. For the umpteenth time I wondered why, why did it matter so much to him?

"So do we Drake" Nicknames? They were so close with a person that was horrible to people that they used nicknames?!

"But next time don't automatically pin it on Nev" nicknames again.

"You scare him enough" That wasn't a surprise at all, finally something normal in all of this.

"Sorry man" so informal, and apologizing. That's it, I was dreaming, there was no way I wasn't , in this universe Draco Malfoy did not call Neville Longbottem man, or apologize to him.

Neville shrugged, like this mind blowing thing, that practically had Ron face down on the floor, was a normal everyday event.

"It's fine," no, no it really, really wasn't. "though when I do find out, there's gonna be hell to pay" WHY!!! "I assume you'll be doing your own kind of payback, Drake?" ok I guess Neville was not only on first name basis, but also nickname basis with my mortal enemy. Great.

"Absolutely" That's it, I was going to be looking into Luna Lovegood soon.

What happened next made Hermione and I have to catch a passed out Ron.

Seamus, a Gryfindor, but his arms around a Slytherin. Even worse the said snake and another GRYFINDOR returned the favor. "And there you go, super Seamus to the rescue!" They laughed and the easy smile on Draco's face was kind of creeping me out a little bit.

"Sure Shay"  well why don't we ALL just hang around and be in a nickname club with Harry's enemy, that would be PERFECT!

"Whatever you say" Yup we're all in an I want to confuse Harry club to! We meet on Wednesdays and eat crumpets while sipping Tea!

"Alright we got to go, don't want anyone to know Slytherins ice prince has a heart right?" Neville joked. Yup all part of club activities. Draco laughed "Not for a little while longer." What would happen in a little while that would cause it to be ok for everyone to know? Harry felt about ready to join Ron in unconsciousness.

Dracos P.O.V

I snickered as I circled around to meet the others in the forest. When I got there we all cracked up, "I take it it went well then?" Luna asked highly amused with us rolling on the forest floor. 

"Of course! those idiots didn't realize a thing. It's guaranteed that they'll look a lot more into Luna, as that was kind of the topic of conversation, but when I mentioned you two I swear I heard quill on parchment." We all laughed even harder as I motioned to Trent and Aurora.

"Oh gods they were breathing so loudly!" Neville managed to get out through his laughs. Seamus's eyes widened "OH MY GODS I KNOW RIGHT!" he agreed loudly. "Seriously they were louder then our conversation!" I couldn't breathe, I was just kind of having seizure like movements on the floor.

"You ok there Draco?" Trent asked looking over at me. I waved him off. "The stupidity of others amazes me some times. Seriously" I managed to get out after my breathing went back to normal. Aurora rolled her eyes.

"We can't all be children of Athena you know" Then she smirked "But I gotta admit these guys sound pretty thick" I nodded. "Horribly so, I can't wait till they hear our normal voices, especially Nevilles" he blushed while we snickered at each other.

"It wasn't exactly my idea you know!" he said in his much deeper New York accent.

"I love being able to talk normally. Seriously if I say I don't fancy something when the guys come I'm never going to live it down!" Seamus moaned while we all agreed. "My siblings would smack me over the head and tell me to speak proper American English" Luna rubbed her head as if all ready being able to feel the thunk of a giant textbook against it.

 I found myself unconsciously doing the same, "Seriously, one girl from Texas came and said yall, the poor girl got a lecture that lasted at the very least an hour. Though there was no way I was going to interrupt and get one myself" I added at the end.

Neville laughed "These are times I cherish having a low key cabin, seriously the'd probabley laugh and move on." we all glared at him in envy "My brothers would claim I was part of the 'British invasion' and try to 'clean' my vocabulary. Don't ask. Its happened." This caused a fresh wave of laughter to com spilling out. 

Alright onto plan two of this part.

"Right Luna we're up!" I said pulling my sister up with, "Time to go finish act 1!" She nodded and we all made our ways up to the castle separately. It took me a little bit to find the trio, when I did they gave me the oddest look I think I have ever received from them.

I told Luna through the coin and it wasn't long before she turned up, when we passed each other I very obviously passed her a note. She 'read' it and put it in her bag. She walked a little way before it 'fell out' of the bag. 

I hid behind the corner just in time to see Hermione run over and pick it up, she read it and I smirked knowing exactly what she was reading

Her eyed bugged at the end and she quickly showed it to the others they gaped down at the note. Now all we had to do was wait

Hermiones P.O.V

We saw Draco walking down the hall and I couldn't help but look at him strangely, it was so wierd to see him after that. Knowing he had to friends in Gryfindor actually made me feel a little sick.

Luna passed him and he handed her a note. She read it, nodded and put it in her bag. As she made her way down the hall and Draco turned the corner the note fell out of her bag. I waited till she was gone before picking it up and reading it.

Lets just say I was really shocked, Love Draco?! I didn't even know they were friends! He sounded really concerned though, so they must know each other really well. I showed Ron and Harry, their eyes almost falling out of there head. 

"Bloody Hell!" Ron stated, as shocked if not more then I was. Harry just stared wordlessly at the paper, not even able to speak. 

"We better go with the cloak Harry, this could be a big deal." I said and he just nodded, there was something going on here and I wasn't going to rest until I knew what it was.

Draco's P.O.V (Most of this story will be)

I made my way up to the tower, well aware of the people I had following me up. When I got there Luna was sitting out a window staring at the stars. I went to sit next to her, obviously hanging out a window was not the most dangerous thing she's ever done.

I wrapped an arm around her and put my face to her. "Are you ok?" I asked softly and could feel her stifling an unnoticed giggle. "I'm fine Draco, really it wasn't that bad" She said in the soft voice that has no place in my little sister.

I growled, "I swear I'm gonna pummel them!" I said angrily. She chuckled "You can't protect me from the world, Draco" she said softly. I shook my head, "Well I can damn well try to." She laughed.

"Please don't, its all a part of life. I'm going to fall in love, get a broken heart, grow up, get teased, have problems. But I'm also going to have wonderful experiences, travel to extraordinary places, and find a love that lasts" I groaned into her hair.

"Please don't talk about leaving and falling in love. Especially growing up, it seems like yesterday you were six years old running around outside. If I had it my way you'd stay like that forever. Not a single heartbreak, no problems, you'd never have to grow up." I hoped she knew everything I was saying was true.

She hugged me and I knew she understood. "Its part of life Draco, every part of it. Good and bad, everyone goes through them and so will I. plus right now I don't think the person I love is capable of breaking my heart" I laughed.

"I know. It better stay that way." I grumbled at the end while Luna laughed at me. "If he breaks up with me, unless its in a really horrible way, your not allowed to kill him. Just get me ice cream." I laughed and kissed her forehead. "Luna, anyway a person could break up with you would be horrible" She giggled.

"And of course I'd get you ice cream! Honestly I'm offended you think I wouldn't have thought of it" She laughed louder now. "Also chocolate, and tissues" This made me hmph "of course!" she laughed again and I pulled her tighter.

"Lu, why did you have to grow up?" I asked. She leaned into me "Because I was tired of being short" I chuckled. And rested my head on top of hers. "Fine. Hey Lu?" I asked "Yeah?" I smiled down " I love you" she put her head on my chest "I love you to Draco"

Hermiones P.O.V

I was shocked, actually shocked couldn't even cover a quarter of what I was feeling. I was sure this wasn't actually Draco Malfoy.

He was way to sweet.

He walked out to sit with her, a very dangerous thing to do considering where we were and where they were sitting.

He hugged her and i was even more confused "Are you ok?" He asked in concern "I'm fine Draco, really it wasn't that bad" I felt kind of bad for her. Sure I didn't do it to her face but I still made fun of her,

Draco let out an animal like growl "I swear I'm gonna pummel them!" he said with so much fury that again I was shocked a little. Luna just laughed at him.

"You can't protect me from the world, Draco" I smiled a little, it was what everyone wanted for their loved one. "Well I can Damn well try to!" He said and it felt odd knowing he cared for someone so much. It was sweet that he didn't want her to get her. 

Then I shook my head, this was Draco we where talking about.

"Please don't" that's surprising, most people would love someone trying to protect them. "it's all part of life" In the moment I gained a little more respect for 'Luney Luna Lovegood'.

"I'm going to fall in love, get a broken heart, grow up, get teased, have problems." It worried me that those were the things about life she brought up, that wasn't all there was.

"But" There we go, there's always a but.

"I'm also going to have amazing experiences, travel to extraordinary places, and find a love that lasts" And there it was, all the things that makes getting through the bad stuff worth it. 

Malfoy just groaned into her hair "Please" please? That's new "Don't talk about leaving and falling in love" That's weird, at first I kind of assumed they were together.

"Especially growing up." Oh, so its more of a brotherly thing. "It seems like yesterday you were six years old running around outside" that's odd, I didn't even know they knew each other that young.

"If I had it my way" and there was the selfish Slytherin she knew "You'd stay like that forever. Not a single heartbreak, no problems, you'd never have to grow up." Ok, so it wasn't selfish, at all. 

I could tell he really meant it and to be honest I was having second thoughts about Draco Malfoy, when I looked over at Harry I saw he wasn't as moved as I was, but still decently so. Ron looked highly conflicted, I knew this was how he felt about Ginny. Hearing it coming from someone he hated must have been pretty hard.

"Its part of life, Draco. Every part of it, good and bad, everyone goes through them and so will I." Shes right, I looked at her in a new light, finally understanding how she had ended up in Ravenclaw. 

"Plus right now I don't think the person I love" So there was someone she was dating. "Is capable of breaking my heart" Aww, that's sweet.

"I know" Draco sighed "it better stay that way" He grumbled at the end. The way he acted you really would think they were related. That's not possible though, unless they were long lost siblings, I looked closer and they did look really similar. 

If he breaks up with me, unless its in a really horrible way, your not allowed to kill him" even then surely Draco wouldn't really kill someone, right? 

"Just get me ice cream" I almost laughed at that but smacked a hand over my mouth in time. Yup, I was liking Luna more and more.

Draco laughed and kissed her forehead, that probably shocked me the most out of all this "Luna, anyway a person could break up with you would be horrible." I nearly fangirled. I don't know I heard the term from my cousin.

I thought he was about to scold her about the ice cream, seeing as it was a very Draco thing to do. However he just seemed offended, "And of course I'd get you ice cream!" I don't think I was really allowed to say what a Draco Malfoy thing to do was anymore. 

"Honestly, I'm offended you think I wouldn't have thought of it!" nope, not allowed at all. 

She giggled "Also chocolate and tissues" He made a little offended noise "Of course!" I had to try not to smile.

"Lu," I swear  I heard Harry mutter 'another in the nickname club' but I brushed it off.

"why did you have to grow up?" He sighed and I smiled she laughed "Because I was tired of being short" at this even Ron cracked a smile. 

He put his head on top of hers. "Fine. Hey Lu?" He asked "Yeah?" She looked up " I love you" what? I couldn't believe my ears, I really couldn't we needed to find out what they were to each other. 

"I love you to Draco" with that I motioned the boys to leave so they could enjoy their moment together, feeling rather rude for intruding. Though that doesn't mean I won't later.

I hope you all understand how freaking long this is. Seriously its 4450 words! usually the longest I go is 2500. MAX. Be proud. Its realy late and I'm about to fall asleep on the key board. If you are or you like the chapter and think Draco's a really awesome big brother...
