Max's Pov

I awoke in my bed near 9:30. I yawned and stretched out of extreme tiredness. I really need to get my sleep. Katie left as usual, and Duke was still asleep, of course. Bolt was taken back home to L.A. yesterday, gonna miss him though, but we'll meet again. I remembered what happened the day before yesterday.

I got another chance, I thought.

I chuckled at the thought. And no one knows about it, yet.

I heard Duke yawn. He must've awoken now.

"You awake yet?" I asked him, smiling.

"*stretches* Yeah," he replied. "So, why you smiling?"

"What? I can't smile."

"Yeah, but your happy for some reason, even after your break up."

I laughed slightly.

"Okay, something must have happened. What is it?" he asked.

"You'll find out."

He gave me a confused look.

"Want to go check up on Snowball?" I asked.

"Really? This early in the morning?"

"Our friends do the same to us, even earlier."

"...Alright you got a point."

"Morning Max! Morning Duke!" We heard someone yell, knowing who it is.

"Morning Gidget!" I yelled back.

"What y'all doing today?" she asked.

"Going to Snowball's. Wanna join us?"

"Sure!"

Duke looked at me weirdly.

"What?" I asked.

"That's kinda weird that you wanna bring your ex."

I rolled my eyes, the irony.

"So what y'all doing here?" Snowflake asked.

"Uh, you know, seeing a close friend," Duke replied.

"Why is it that almost every time I come here, you are here?" I asked.

"That's what I be asking," Snowball groaned.

"Don't be like that. You like the attention," Duke said. Snowball rolled his eyes and Snowflake giggled.

"Whatever," he said.

"So, why are you here?" asked Gidget.

"Well I came by to see if Snowball and I could go out on a date," Snowflake said.

"And of course I would love to," Snowball said, kissing her cheek.

"Oh nice."

"Hey maybe we can join," I asked.

They looked at me in confusion.

"Uh, it's a date, Max, not a friends night out," Duke said.

"Oh I didn't mean you Duke, I meant Gidget and I."

They looked at me in more confusion.

"Yeah, that would be nice," Gidget said.

"But, aren't you guys, like, not an item?" Snowball asked.

"Well, not anymore," Gidget said, smiling and nuzzling into my side.

"Wait, seriously!?" Duke asked.

"Yep."

"Well, congrats my dogs!" Snowball said.

"When did this happen?" asked Snowflake.

"A couple days ago," I responded.

"No wonder you were in a good mood today, no doubt you would get back together," Duke said.

"So, is this gonna be a double date?" Snowball asked.

"I wouldn't mind," Snowflake said.

"Nice, a double date, where are we gonna go out?" I asked.

"There's this nice restaurant for humans and animals that I know about. It's great, trust me," Snowball said.

"Alright, we can go in the next 10 minutes."

Everyone agreed.

"So, what am I gonna do?" asked Duke.

Silence.

"...Stay home I guess."

We laughed.

"And think about why you should get a girlfriend," said Snowball.

We all laughed even more, and Duke pouted. Ah, poor Duke.

"Don't worry Duke," Snowball said, "you can be apart the singles club, with the rest of the guys."

"Shut up."

And once again there was laughter.

Unknown Pov

I stood out waiting. The animals were inside talking. I could here the laughter of them all. It leaves a distinguishable bad taste in my mouth.

Now that I know where Snowball lives, I can take him out, so he and his gang won't be a problem to the Brooklyn Cast anymore, and the leader will be pleased.

And Max, the one who thought he could stand up to me. I was upset to see he was still alive. And of course he got back with Gidget. But now, I know his secret. And I could use it against him. He will regret the day he messed with me. And I'm gonna love seeing him lose everything he holds dear to him. I'll end him, Snowball, and take Gidget.

"Soon Max, I'll get you, and you'll be sorry that you ever messed with me." I growled. "And I'll be sure that you won't come back from the vet alive!"

I smiled evilly and followed as they left.

Chapter 21 is finished for those who waited for sooo long. Yeah, we've established that Max and Gidget are back together. Yah!!! They're going on a double date with Snowball and Snowflake. Duke of course can't come. Poor Duke. And there's an unknown figure who is watching them. I think you guys know who it is. Tell me who you think it is in the comments.
