Gidget's Pov

It's been almost two weeks since I broke up with Max, and I was still hurt by what he did and said. I was crying for nearly two and a half days. Most of the time I would spend my days home just eating, barely watching some telenovela, sobbing, sleeping, sobbing while I'm sleeping, etcetera. Sometimes the girls would would come over and try to comfort me.

Today I was on the roof, visiting Tiberius to talk about my emotions. I thought if I spoke out what I'm feeling, then I wouldn't be hurt anymore.

"So...how are you doing?" Tiberius asked me.

"Horrible," I replied.

"Hm yeah seems like that. So you must be still hurting from your break up with Max?"

"*sniff* Yeah. It's just, I never expected Max to do such a thing. It's not like him to mate with another dog."

"Well there might be a reason."

"Oh are you taking his side now!" I got frustrated.

"No I'm not taking anyone's side. I just think there might be an explanation to his wrong doing."

"Well he made that really clear by insulting me."

"But you were the one who hit him and insulted him as well, soooo..."

"HE GOT ME UPSET! HE MADE ME FEEL LIKE I WASN'T ALL THAT IMPORTANT TO HIM!"

Tiberius sighed. "Well you can't actually believe that he did it on his own will."

"Weren't you the one who said he would be most likely to do it?"

"I said that between both of you, he would be most problematic to do so, but I never said he, judging his characteristics, that he would do so or not."

I stayed quiet for a while.

Then he broke the silence saying, "I suggest, just my opinion, that you guys talk it out."

"What? You want me to talk to him?"

"Yes. It would most likely help benefit the problem. Sometimes that's how some relationships work out."

I thought about what he said. Should I talk to him? I really don't want to seem him again. I could wait once the time is right, but when?

Max's Pov

I layed in my bed with bloodshot eyes from crying so much, with many thoughts running through my head. Some were about Gidget, and some resulted in committing suicide. I tried to commit suicide once or twice in the past couple of days. Of course I wasn't gonna do it, but I just kept thinking about it. Sometimes my friends would try to comfort me saying things like it wasn't your fault or forget Gidget. But how can I forget her. She was the greatest thing to me in my life.

As I was lost in my thoughts, Snowball, Duke, Buddy, Mel, Chloe, and the girls came in through the window. Here comes more comforting.

"How you feeling Max?" Snowflake asked.

"Like my heart is missing," I responded with no emotion in my voice.

"Max, I would say get out more but you already do, so you need to get cleaned up," Snowball said.

"Why should I?" I asked. "I have nothing to do."

"All you've been doing was lay in your bed, moping around the apartment, and just leave not telling what you're doing."

"...So?"

"Max this is ridiculous," Duke said. "Are you that messed up over someone?"

Then came the insults. And there gonna hurt. "Uh, have you ever loved someone so much you would die for them? Because it seems like you don't know what love is. So go back to the pound for all I care."

"Max we don't think you should keep thinking about Gidget," Buddy said.

"Oh like you care. The first time you met her you wanted her all to yourself, but instead she fell for me all those years. So I would expect you to feel somewhat like me, but you probably found another female to screw your brains out."

Everyone's eyes widen by what I said, and Buddy got a little mad. See? I said the insults would hurt.

"Is that anyway to talk to a friend?" Chloe asked.

"Chloe, out of all the people here, you're less likely to be close to a friend," I replied harshly.

"Why are you insulting everyone?" Velvet asked.

I raised my head.

"Oh you don't like it? I don't care," I said to Snowflake, Velvet, Autumn, and Katherine. "I don't even know you four, which would make it all the more reason to care less."

"Max we're just trying to help!" Snowball said, angrily.

I stood straight up.

"You know how you all can help!?" I yelled. "All of you can leave me the hell alone!"

Silence fell upon us. Velvet left first, almost about to cry. One by one they all left. Snowball was the last.

"You know Max, if you take the time to see that it's not always about Gidget, you would be better," he said, before leaving.

I layed back down. For an hour all I did was sleep. I woke up bored as I can be, and thought to myself.

I should go out again. I thought to myself.

And I did just that.

At Central Park...

I just wanted to get away from it all. To clear my head. I sat in front of the pond.

"Pft trying to help me," I said to myself. "What a load of bull-"

"Hey Max." I was interrupted.

I looked to see Angeline. Oh great! Now I have to see her!

"What do you want?" I asked harshly.

"What, I can't take a stroll through the park?" she replied smirking.

"Well can you continue strolling and leave me alone?"

She sat by me. Why is everyone so annoying today?

"Did you not hear what I said?"

"Max your a mess. I'm guessing your relationship didn't end well."

Yeah, no kidding.

"Though I'm actually glad I found you, Max."

"If you think you're getting with me again, then your completely wrong! It's because of you that she broke up with me! I loved her! She was everything to me, and because of your thirsty ass I lost her!"

She stayed silent.

"Now leave me alone! I won't hesitate to bite at you!"

She looked at me surprised, but being the arrogant one, she stayed.

"Max I wanted to say I'm sorry."

"Pft for what?"

"For your break up. I didn't seem like you had a girlfriend since you were at that party, and I didn't think to ask you if you were single or not. I didn't mean to hurt you. I-I haven't had anyone else I could call my own in a while, since my last relationship was me being abused and used as a slave."

Her words surprised me. I turned my head to her.

"I had a home, a good owner, but she wasn't keen on keeping herself well. She died from lung cancer. I've been at the pound twice before and at the time I was with my boyfriend. He broke me out somehow. I thought he would protect me. He did, but he only did it so know one else can have me. It seemed kinda stupid at first but I let him. Then it got worse. No one could talk to me, no one could smell me, no one could look at me, or even think of me. He even thought it was a great idea to even use me mostly for mating whenever. I left him the moment I was out of his sight. I never saw him again. I never meant to hurt you Max. I just didn't want to be alone anymore."

She looked down and started to cry a little. I could see tears stream down her face. I felt bad for her. She lost her owner, been to the pound twice, and to top it all off, she was abused by her boyfriend.

I felt sorry for her.

She was still crying some more. Then I lifted her head and licked away the tears. She looked at me surprised.

"I'm sorry for what happened to you," I finally said. "I didn't realize how much you've been through."

She sniffed. "Don't worry about me. I'll be fine."

She smiled and I smiled back.

"Oh and just out of curiosity, who was your boyfriend?" I asked.

"He was a Rottweiler named Cisco," she replied.

...Cisco!? That son of a...

"Wait seriously!? He was your boyfriend!?"

She blinked. "Have you guys met before."

"Well while I was still with my girlfriend, our friends, her, and I went to a party at one of our other friends place. When I was getting us drinks, he tried to woo her. I talked to him saying to stay away, then it all went down from their and he assaulted me. Because of him I was in the hospital."

"Well I'm glad you're okay now. What's your girlfriend's name?"

"Gidget. She was my everything."

"Hm, well don't you think you guys should talk it out?"

"How? She said she didn't want to see me ever again. And I'm sure she meant it. Also I insulted my friends so I don't be able to have them tell her."

"You could always try."

"Hey! You there!" We looked to see two dog pound guys coming for us.

"Run!" Angeline said.

We both ran out the park and down the street. We turned a corner into an alley way. It was a dead end. The two guys came and had us trapped.

"I'll distract them so you can go!" Angeline said to me.

"Wait what about you!?" I asked.

"Don't worry about me! You still have somewhere to be!"

She jumped onto one of the guys and the other guy tried to get her off.

"Go Max!" she yelled.

"I owe you one!" I ran out of the alley way. I was heading home. I saw Angeline get caught. And once I finish things with Gidget, I was gonna get Angeline back.

Wow. What a crazy chapter. Max insulting his friends. Well that's how some people are when they're heart broken. If you want to see more then continue reading this story.
