Chapter One // Siblings and I are not the same

It was towards the end of my interview with Ellen when she brought up my relationship with Bill and my half-siblings which were two topics that I wanted to avoid as the reason I came on the show was to promote my new business ventures and the series finale of my ten seasons show, The Good Daughter.

Ellen awkwardly laughed as I gave her an annoyed look before forcing a smile on my face.

"So," Ellen said, wanting me to say something.

"Blessed is the man who, having nothing to say, abstains from giving us wordy evidence of the fact," I said.

Ellen looked pissed, but I did not care. Everyone knew I had a sharp tongue and did not like to deal with nonsense, especially when people knew my relationship with my half-siblings was nonexistent.

I also did not want to talk about my on-and-off relationship of four years with Bill. Things were confusing in our relationship, and I did not have time to think they could opinion on my connection.

"Umm, okay, moving on," Ellen said.

"Yeah," I said.

Thank God the interview ended after that awkward exchange, and I left the set as my manager shook her head at me.

I rolled my eyes.

"Kamila," Tom said.

"Tom," I said.

Bill's House

I wrapped my arms around his neck and snuggled into him. He smelt so good. He kissed me, and it was good.

"I want everything with you," He says.

"Bill," I said as I did not want to talk about our relationship as we were currently in the state of restarting our relationship as we had just gotten back together.

Bill removed my arms around his neck and sat up, which made me sit up as well.

"Kamila, what's the problem now?" Bill asked me.

"We're just restarting our relationship. I don't want to get my hopes," I answered.

"I know. But I love you," Bill said.

"And I love you too," I said.

"I know this is a topic you do not like talking about, but I heard something, and I want to share it with you," Bill said.

I looked at him, confused.

"What is it about?" I asked him.

"Your siblings," Bill answered.

"Half-siblings, and what about them?" I asked, correcting him.

"Well, I heard that they are planning to reach out to you for their new show on Hulu," Bill replied.

I let out a bitter laugh.

"Not fucking likely," I said.

"Hey, it's something I heard," Bill said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Well, it's probably something their fame-hungry asses would probably think of," I said.

Bill nodded.

"What to go out for dinner?" Bill asked me.

"Where?" I replied.

"Our favorite place," He said with a smile.

Beauty & Essex

We got into the back of the black SUV that was unmarked per Bill's request. Bill grabbed my hand. I squeezed it.

The SUV drove off to 1615 Cahuenga Blvd, Los Angeles 90028.

Beauty & Essex was one of our favorite places to dine. They had share-friendly plates and a 24-ounce bone-in ribeye served with truffle Hollandaise and roasted garlic & bacon sauce to take the meat over the top, which I love ordering almost every time I go there.

We first got introduced to the restaurant when we went on a double date with our good friends, Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber, before they broke up.

I pulled out my phone and started taking selfies; then, I leaned over to capture Bill in a few selfies when a text message popped up on the screen.

I knew Bill had already read the text message, so I did not react by moving away from him, but I knew this message could ruin our night as it was from my ex-boyfriend.

I moved back to my seat and replied to the message before leaving my phone silent and putting it away in my purse.

"I didn't know you two still talk," Bill said.

I shrugged.

"Yeah, occasionally," I said.

"Mhmm," Bill said.

The rest of the drive to the restaurant was quiet until we got there, and Bill helped me out of the car and led me into the restaurant.

What happened inside the restaurant was something I did not see happening, but it did. Not only did we run into my ex-boyfriend and his rumored fling, but we ran into my half-siblings, who looked like they were dying to come and talk to me.

"This is unbelievable," I muttered at our table.

"You can't ignore them forever," Bill said after placing our usual order with the waiter.

"I have nothing to say to them. They and I are not the same," I said.

"Except you guys know how to stay friendly with exes," Bill muttered.

I frowned.

"What?" I asked him.

"Nothing," Bill answered.

"That was shady," I told him.

"But it's the truth," Bill said.

"Yeah, like you having a baby while we were on a break," I said.

Bill sighed.

"That's going too far now, Kamila," Bill said.

I rolled my eyes.

"Whatever, I'm not going to ruin dinner by getting into it with you," I said as I pulled out my phone.

Bill grabbed my phone and put it on his side of the table.

"It's our time; no distractions," Bill said.

The star exuded calm as she strutted out into the sunshine, rocking strappy wedge heels.

Upping the glam factor, she carried a petite snake print purse on her arm.

Keeping her hair fuss-free, she slicked her raven tresses back into a chic and easy bun with her shades propped upon her head.

Though she wore a face mask, there was no concealing her natural beauty.

The actress appeared to be wearing little makeup, though her plum purple manicure injected a touch of glamour.
