Handsome Stranger
I opened the cupboard and saw our adoring couples making out like some hungry animals, Sarah and David.
I screamed, "You guys are so sick!" That's when they noticed someone was present.
"You ruined it, Kiara," David admitted, disappointed.
"Wow, I'm proud of myself then," I said as I walked away. While I was searching for them with my heart in my mouth, they were having a good time. Gross...
Only Judy remained. I was strolling through the corridors. It was strangely quiet. My breathing was audible to me. Too frightening; I'd better find her soon.
Someone's footsteps were heard. The footsteps were becoming more audible. Just down the corridor, there was another creak and shuffle. It's now only a matter of seconds.
I looked up at the 'Boy's Washroom' sign. Judy, what a lovely hiding place. I went into the stinging restroom; why can't they wash it properly?
"I believe we should keep this private. If anyone finds out about this, we're doomed," a terrified voice exclaimed. Who is he? I thought we were the only ones stuck here.
"Yes. We'll be able to bury it before sunrise." Another voice spoke up. What are they on about? Bury?
Someone suddenly grabbed my hand and led me out of the restroom. I was about to scream when someone placed their large, icy hands on my mouth. He had bright green eyes, a fine nose, and a strong jawline. He was pale and attractive. His golden walnut hair glistened. He was looking at me and motioning for me to be quiet. I took a deep breath and nodded. I'd never seen him before, and I'm not sure why I felt safe with him. Strangely safe.
We were hiding behind the door when those people from the restroom emerged, carrying what appeared to be a person. Is that what I'm thinking? I looked at the attractive stranger, who nodded his head as if he understood what I was thinking.
OMG, that was a dead body that they were going to bury. Where have all my friends gone? Are they secure? I was about to tell him about my friends when he said in his deep, dry voice, "They're safe." I wanted to ask him if he was involved in the murders, but before I could, he said no; he wasn't.
We followed those murderers to see where they buried the body. It was outside the school, beneath an oak tree. After that, the murderers began walking back. They were making their way towards us. Shit! I turned around to warn him that we needed to hide, but it was too late. They were literally a foot away from us. I shut my eyes and waited for an outburst, but nothing happened. They walked right by us without even looking at us. That's when I noticed there wasn't a snowstorm outside. Everything appeared to be green as if it was spring. What the heck is going on? I turned to face the stranger beside me, who was already staring at me.
"I believe this was enough for you to help me." That was the last thing I heard before darkness engulfed me.
