11. Courage
I could imagine a handful of things Hongbin must be doing, all of them included women. But what the heck was my husband doing?! They better not be what Hongbin is doing! I suddenly missed Leo. What could he be doing? It can't be dancing. Or could it? I just can't imagine him dancing though. It doesn't seem like his thing. But then again, he was a stranger to me too. It's just the feeling of being around him that's familiar. Other than that, I don't know him that well. I don't even know his favorite food. He seems to quietly eat whatever I make for him. Oh my god what if he hates rice or something and I always made rice for him!
"Oh yeah. I forgot to collect our drinks. Wait here, I'll be back." Jinhee assured me and got up before I could protest. I really hated being alone. I was scared. I was upset at Leo for leaving me alone. How could he do this to me! He should have the decency to not leave his wife in a freaking club by herself! Does he not care what happens to me?!
I nervously glanced around for possible serial killers or perverts nearby. Oh god what if I die tonight. Would Leo miss me?
Am I being too paranoid?
But to add to my fear I catch the reflection from the glass opposite from my seat, a man was sitting in the seat behind me. He was looking straight at me with an expression I couldn't recognize. I KNEW IT. I'm going to die tonight. Oh Jesus, please help me.
"Hey." I screamed as a hand was on my shoulder. "Hey chill. It's just me." Jinhee's voice calmed my heart as I let out a sigh of relief.
"Oh it's just you. Thank god."
"Why? Were you scared being alone?" She chuckled but then her expression turned serious after looking at my expression. "Was someone bothering you?"
"N-no... I was just...Just paranoid I guess."
"Thank god. You should be careful. There's all sorts of men here trying to hit on you. But it's rather safe here. Since you're quite innocent to this whole thing I thought I should warn you."
"Um...Thanks for the advice. I will."
"Where's your husband though? He should be here to collect his drink at least. Unless he's drinking below with the chicken boy. But he should at least dance with you tonight. I mean his expression when he saw you said he was whipped. Unless my calculations were wrong. But it can't be. I'm an expert in this field."
"Umm..." I didn't know how to reply to that. "Wait, chicken boy?" I chuckled.
She shrugged. "He talks too much."

I don't know how long I was drinking but I was not drinking cherry wine anymore. It was long gone along with 5 other mysterious drinks that I don't even know the name of. I was mad. Mad at Leo, mad at the world. So like a responsible adult, I drank till I forgot everything. Now, I'm new to alcohol so I drank so fast, I don't even know how they tasted like. Some tasted bitter, some sweet. Pretty sure I drank at least 3 different kinds of drink. But because I was too focused on the buzz that I was feeling I didn't care. It felt good. Like I was floating. Like I can finally say the things I've always wanted to say. Do the things I wouldn't dare doing sober. Now I have an excuse. I'm drunk! I can always blame it on that. But most importantly, I got courage. Now I just have to find Leo.
"Dude stop. It's your second bottle already! And I don't even know where you're getting those from!" Jinhee slurred, she's obviously more drunk than me, how dare she complain about me. She slammed her head on the table right after saying those words, just to prove my words right.
"I nicked them off the bar. Don't worry, I paid." I said, my words weren't quite as slurred because I felt I wasn't that drunk yet. I still remembered things and obviously remembered not to steal booze but pay for them.
"Wow. So righteous." She muttered under her breath, her head still on the table. She doesn't look like she could walk properly. Damn, she's wasted. What was the blue glowing drink she was drinking?
"I need to pee!" She suddenly lifted her head and announced. I looked at her through the glass of who-knows-what I was drinking from. "What?" I asked. She didn't reply, instead she looked like she'd pass out soon. Her eyes were closed.
"Okay let's go." I unwillingly put down the glass even though I wanted to get full drunk, a sensible part of me decided against it. Since Jinhee was wasted and the boys weren't around, a pervert could easily take advantage of two wasted girls. So for the both of us I had to stay at least semi awake. But pretty sure I would've continued drinking if Jinhee didn't had to go pee.
I grabbed her hand and helped her up as she whimpered. "Parrot, Is that you?!" She suddenly grabbed my cheeks with both her hands and narrowed her eyes. "Oh my gosh! It is you!" she then burst out laughing like it was the funniest thing in the world. "But you were a bird! Now you're a human! Awesome!"
I shook my head at the drunk girl and dragged her downstairs and the whole time she was singing some nursery rhyme which sounded suspiciously like Chinese.
We made our way to the bar which was quite packed just like the dancefloor. But I found an empty spot so I quickly hopped in and grabbed a bartender's attention.
"Excuse me, which way is the toilet?"
"It's near the exit. Just go left." He smiled. Damn, he was hot. He wasn't Asian... He looked...Italian?
"Thanks!" I gave him one last guilty dreamy look before heading off to the bathroom.

It was easy to find the toilet so I pushed Jinhee in and told her I'd wait outside. In reality, I wanted to find Leo. To give him a piece of my mind. Confidence was bubbling inside of me and it was going to burst out any moment. I know I should let him know how I feel now that alcohol is in my system and it's giving me wings. Wait, wasn't it for Redbull?
Whatever.
I looked around carefully from the entrance because it was on the higher ground than the dancefloor and the bar. So it was quite easy to get the full view. But even after carefully watching, he wasn't to be found anywhere. Maybe because it was dark.
"Ugh Fuck!" I grunted in annoyance, the foreign word rolling off my tongue in ease. And the best part of it was that I wasn't even feeling guilty. Instead it made me giggle. Like a child saying naughty words just for the thrill. Yep, the alcohol is finally taking control.
"What are you doing?" I flinched as the voice I was looking for finally emerged from behind me. I wonder how he knew it was me from behind. Was it my ass? Ass. The word made me giggle even more. I said ass!
"What's wrong with you?" A hand grabbed my shoulder and made me turn around to face him. But my eyes were only on the level of his chest. His black simple designer T shirt. Then my eyes trailed down to his blue faded jeans and his belt buckle and then back up to his face. I felt a rush of warm blood up to my cheeks and I started giggling again. His pretty forehead creased in concern. "Say something! What happened?!"
I frowned. How dare he ask what happened! When he left me as soon as we entered the place!
"You! WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN?!" I pointed my index figure and screamed on his face, which look a lot of effort since my words were coming out slow and slurry.
His eyes widened in surprise. I guess he didn't expect me to scream like that.
"You asshole! You left me alone as soon as we got here! Where the fuck were you? What kind of husband does that?" I said in fury and hurt while his face softened and he looked like he was looking for words to explain.
"I..."
"Shut the fuck up!" I shut him up and grabbed his hands, dragging him to the nearest toilet, which was right next to the one Jinhee was in. Good thing it was those single rooms not the public stalls type. I was so focused I didn't even give a fuck that it was a ladies rest room. I slammed the door open and yanked Leo inside while I locked the door behind me. A look of terror was plastered on his face laced with nervousness, which only made me more amused. I pushed him on the toilet lid, forcing him to sit while I looked at him with a smirk. He looked like a prey while I watched him like a hunter. I liked it. I liked the look on his face.
"You're such a cocky bastard." I said smirking, not meaning it in an insult at all as I walked closer to him.
He gulped and grabbed the toilet seat behind as if he'd escape if he could but I didn't leave any exit for him.
I walked up to him with a victorious grin on my face, you can't hide anymore from me Jung Leo. Tonight I'll hunt you down no matter what.
I leaned down and sat on his lap and observed him closely but looking down on him. He looked up at me with wide eyes. He's scared. He doesn't understand what's happening. So I did the only thing I could think of that'd baffle him even more. I grabbed his chin, lifted it up, and crashed my lips on to his.
