Ash's P.O.V.

After a long walk to our house, we finally arrived. I really don't want to go inside. I really don't want to see my dead mother or that picture again. Why would a person kill my mom, and why did that person only cut our family from Nikki. Does that person want us dead, but not Nikki?

"Let's get this over with. I don't want to be here." Nikki said disappointedly.

We walked upstairs into our bedrooms and picked out the clothes we wanted to bring. I grabbed my purse and grabbed all the yen I had saved. I told Katy and Nikki to bring all their yen too.

"Okay, is everyone ready to go." Katy said as we walked down the stairs with our luggage. We both nodded and headed out the door.

We walked through the empty streets of Kaibara, walking with our heavy luggage. I just feel really bad for Nikki. Every time I look in her eyes, she looks miserable. Katy and I try to cheer her up, but nothing is possible. Maybe if I could ask Kyo, as nice as I can, to talk to her and comfort her, so she can come out of the doldrums.

"Finally we're here, my feet are killing me." Katy stated and ran into the house after Tohru opened the door. We had to carry her things, and it was a bigger hassle. Tohru offered to take our stuff upstairs, but Nikki said that we could do it.

"Katy, grab you're stuff and get them upstairs." I barked.

"Aww come on, I just sat down." She whined from the living room couch.

I threw her bags to her and we headed up to our new room. When Shigure said he'll clean it, I was surprised he did. There was no more dust, spider webs, or an plain empty room. It had a dresser with a mirror and three mattresses. There was also a sliding door closet, that could fit most of our clothes in. The place was great, and I think I'll enjoy it here.

"Okay girls, lets get unpacked, then finish our homework." I ordered.

"Who made you the leader?" Katy asked rudely.

"I'm the oldest, I make the decisions." I clearly explained to her.

"You're bad at making decisions. How about we have freedom. Its a free country." Katy said, which began to piss me off.

"What are you two arguing about now." Nikki interrupted.

"Nothing, just shut up." I replied angrily.

"Me, shut up? Oh you wish you never said that." Nikki bickered.

The three of us began to yell over each other and causing chaos for the whole house. Shigure, Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru rushed into our room and asked why we're yelling.

"She keeps saying she's in charge here." Katy complained and pointed her finger at me. "And she's telling us what to do."

"Well I'm the oldest." I bounced back.

"Oh really." Katy said with sass.

We continued to argue until Kyo came in between us to stop fighting. He was right in front of me, then I pushed him so he could get out of my sight. Katy was in my way in the process, so they both collided into each other and they both transformed. Katy was now a wolf and she growling at Kyo, who was an orange cat. Kyo grabbed his clothes and walked out of the room. I could tell he was really pissed off right now. Yuki and Tohru left and went back downstairs, and Shigure stayed here for a minute.

"Can you three not fight, we already have enough to trouble in the house with Yuki and Kyo." Shigure kindly said.

"Alright." Katy and I both said.

"Nikki, hey Nikki, answer Shigu- okay, where did Nikki go now." I said angrily.

"Probably with Kyo." Shigure answered. "By now, it might be obvious that Nikki and Kyo like each other. Oh well, see you girls at dinner."

"Where the hell are you Nikki!" I shouted.

Nikki's P.O.V.

After Katy and Kyo crashed into each other, they both transformed. Katy was now a wolf and Kyo was an orange cat. So now I believe him. He's a cat like me, but he seems mad for some reason. I followed him into his room, and I saw him on his bed with his chin on his paws.

"Kyo." I said.

"What!" He replied impolitely.

"I was just- umm- wondering why you're all upset." I asked nervously. I really didn't want him to find out that I really care for him.

"None of you're damn business." He answered. Those words brought tears to my eyes. He turned an looked at me. "Wait! I didn't mean to make you cry on your- birthday."

I completely forgot it was my birthday still, and I really don't want it to be. All this chaos today made me forget my sweet sixteen. Moms death, me running away, and Ash, Katy, and I moving with the Sohma's and Tohru. Wait! Why does Tohru live with the Sohma's? I should ask her one day.

"It's fine. I don't need any happiness in my life anymore, so yell at me as much as you like." I said sadly, and sat down on his bed. Kyo climbed up on my lap, and laid there.

"I don't want you to be miserable all you're life. You suffered back then, and you shouldn't now." He said, trying to make me feel better.

I stroked his head, which made me smile. After he jumped off and told me to close my eyes and turn around. I did what he instructed, and at that moment he transformed back into a human.

"Okay, you can turn around now." He said.

"What time is it?" I asked Kyo.

He turned his head to his nightstand and looked at his alarm clock. "It's 7:48." He replied.

He sat down next to me on the bed. I noticed out of the corner of me eye that his eyes widened, like he forgot about something. Kyo stood up and crouched down, facing the bottom of the bed. He pulled out a small box with a light blue ribbon tied around it.

"Ah...this is for you. Katy and Ash called us last night and they said they wanted us to buy a present for you. But I decided to get you a present on my own behalf." Kyo exclaimed.

I took the box from him, and I carefully unravelled the ribbon. I put the ribbon beside me, and slowly opened the box. Inside there was a silver necklace that had a cat on it, that was made out of silver jewels. I put it around my neck, even though I don't like necklaces, but this was from someone that I like.

"It looks great on you." Kyo complimented.

"Thanks." I replied with a smile.

Suddenly the door opened up, and Ash, Katy, Tohru, Yuki, and Shigure walked in. Ash was holding a present, same with Tohru.

"Here Nikki, this is for you." Tohru said as she walked up and handed me the present. I opened it up and inside was an origami kit. "Ash told me how much you love origami, so we decided to get this for you."

"Wow thanks." I answered. It actually been a long time since I made origami. I used to make cranes, dogs, cats, bunnies, and whales.

"Our turn." Katy sang, and forcefully handed me their present.

I opened the gift and inside were 6 tickets. There was also a piece of paper that explained what the tickets were for. It said..."Hello, you and your friends are invited to the Sohma family hot springs for 4 days and 3 nights. We look forward to meeting you."

"You guys got me a trip to the hot springs. Thank you so much, I always wanted to go to one." I said happily.

"We saw it online and it shares the last names of Yuki, Kyo, and Shigure. I wonder why." Katy stated.

"Because our family owns it!" Kyo shouted.

"Really?" Katy said in confusion.

Kyo face palmed. I looked over at Tohru, who had a strange expression on her face. She seemed surprised and worried at the same time.

"What's wrong Tohru?" I asked.

"I can't accept another visit to the hot springs, I'll be asking to much." Tohru explained nervously.

"We're taking you and we already got the tickets. Wait! You've been there before?" Ash said.

"Oh yeah, the Sohma's took me to the hot springs for white day. We went with Momiji." Tohru exclaimed.

I looked for the date on the paper. My eyes widen. It said March 17-21. "Guys we have to leave in the morning at 9:00 to get on the bus."

"Yeah about that, we couldn't get you any later because it was all booked. So we may have to rush a bit, but the good thing is we got the best rooms."

"How are you in a good mood. It's 8:15 and I'm freaking tied! How are we going to have time to pack everything!" I barked.

"How about we pack up now." Ash said in a terrified tone in her voice.

"How about you shut up!" I replied angrily and held me fists up like I was about to start a fight.

"Okay girls, why don't all of you guys get packed, okay?" Shigure said calmly.

The three of us hurried to our room and we began to unpack the things that we brought, put most of them away, and the rest back in the suit cases. I placed the origami kit in the closet and put the tickets on the dresser by my clothes so I won't forget them. I sighed. Is this how my life continues. My sisters fighting with Kyo and Yuki, and me suffering the loss of my mother. Not to mention the headaches everyone will get from people fighting everyday. I guess this is how it's gonna be living with the Sohma's.

OH MY GOD, I'm so sorry I haven't updated in a long time. I was working on this chapter and I had to write in my other books too. I also wanting to read books on wattpad, and I also got some Fruits Basket manga's for me to read. I have a lot of spare time so I'll try my best to continue writing my books.
