~Chapter 3: Father's Secret Plans~
*Isabella's POV*
I got to work at my usual time and I went into the office, before sighing. 'Dad forgot about the paperwork again. He needs to stop forgetting.' I thought before giving a small giggle and I put away the papers.
I saw a note on the table and I picked it up to read it. 'Finish plans by tomorrow', the note said and I was confused.
"Plans?" I muttered, before I went through the drawers to see if there was any plans. None. I looked over at the filing cabinet and went through my dad's private filing drawer. I found a folded paper and I pulled it out and opened it. It was a sketchout of a different place. A different pizzeria.
'What? Why didn't Dad tell me about this if it was in his files?' I folded it and sat in the chair. 'He should've told me the moment he started them!' I clenched my fists while staring at the ground. 'Why didn't he tell me?!'
"Bella!" I heard Bonnie exclaim and next thing I knew I was trampled to the ground by a giant purple bunny. "You're back!" he exclaimed before rolling off of me.
"That's the second time today." I said, smiling and getting up. "I don't think I need any more trampling for today." I said, smiling and Bonnie laughed before a giant yellow chicken hugged me.
"Bella!" Chica exclaimed and I dangled in her grip.
"Seriously, Chica? Are you making it to where I jinx myself?" I asked and Bonnie laughed.
"Well, at least you're not being trampled by her!" Bonnie laughed more. I sighed, dangling my head.
"Can't argue with you there." I muttered and Chica let me go. "So, when does Foxy normally come out anyways?" I asked, looking at Chica.
"Well, uh...he normally does but I don't think he's going to come out for about an hour. He should be out by 1 or 2 o'clock, at least depending on his mood."
"His mood?"
"Chica-" Bonnie was cut off by Chica putting her hand over his mouth.
"What Bonnie's trying to say is that Foxy has a bit of an anger problem." Chica said and I smiled.
"Sounds like someone I knew from when I was a kid." I said and Chica smiled.
"Let's go ahead and say hi to Freddy, okay?" Chica said and I felt like she was dragging me and technically, she actually was since she was pulling my arm and I was just trying not to trip.
Bonnie followed behind us, at least. We got to the stage and Freddy was up there reading a newspaper.
"Freddy! Bell's here!" My eyes slightly widened at the nickname. Usually only people I knew called me Bell. I only knew a few people and Michael only ever called me that only once and that was it.
'Why did she call me that?' my eyes widened more for some reason as I saw a ghost-like figure that looked like Kate behind Chica. I felt myself freeze up completely and Chica stopped, looking at me.
"Are you okay, Bella?" I snapped out of my thoughts and smiled a bit.
"Y-Yeah. Sorry. Just thinking over a few things." I said, smiling a bit more. Bonnie probably had a bit of a concerned look. I shook the thought of Chica calling me Bells out of my head. I mean, she probably just thought she could call me another nickname that related to Isabella so it didn't bother me too much.
Freddy probably smiled, "Good too meet you again, Isabella." Freddy said and I smiled a bit.
"You too, Freddy." I said and I heard an extra set of foot steps and I looked to see Foxy.
"About time, Foxy. I was starting to wonder when you'd come out." Chica said and Foxy glared at her.
"Well, I probably should've stayed in the Cove, then, huh lass?"
"See? A bit of anger troubles." Bonnie whispered and I looked at him for a second before nodding slightly.
"What was that, mate? I don't have any anger problems!" Foxy argued and I laughed a bit in humor. "What so funny, lass?" Foxy asked and I smiled at him.
"You keep saying you don't have any anger problems but you just yelled twice cause you were angry." I said, smiling and Foxy huffed.
"Whatever, lass. Anyway, why did ye tell her about us, Chica?" Foxy asked and Chica shrugged.
"She probably would've found out anyways. But I didn't tell her about you-know-what and you-know-who." I looked at her confused.
"What do you mean?" I asked and Chica patted my shoulders, smiling.
"All in good time, Bells!" She said and I was still confused what she meant and why she called me that. What's going on? I didn't realize I was staring at the ground until Bonnie started shaking my shoulders.
"Earth to Bella!" I blinked rapidly for two seconds and looked at Bonnie when he stopped shaking my shoulders.
"I'm fine, Bonnie! Just thinking for a second." I said, with a smile and he let go of my shoulders.
"All right. I was just starting to worry about you." He said, rubbing the back of his neck. I giggled a bit and smiled.
"It's okay, Bonnie. Just don't do that or you'll make me bite my tongue." I said and he probably grinned. Freddy knocked his fist on the stage and everyone looked at him.
"I'll need to speak with Isabella alone." Freddy said and I looked at the others and Bonnie and Chica nodded and I looked at Foxy for a second to see him probably glaring at Freddy but I looked at Freddy and nodded.
I went with Freddy to the office. I stood against the wall and Freddy just stood in the middle of the office.
*Foxy's POV*
I was sitting on the stage with Chica and Bonnie. 'What could Freddy possibly want to talk to her about? Better not be that we're her friends from so long ago.' I thought, getting a bit worried about what he could possibly be talking to her about.
After a few minutes, Bella came back out and I saw Bonnie quickly get up and run to hug her but I used my hook to stop him and Bonnie looked at me confused. Bella looked like she was upset about something for a second but once she saw us, the look was completely replaced with a happy look.
"Hey, Bella! Want to help me make some pizza?!" Chica asked excitedly and Bella looked at her keeping the smile.
"Sure, Chica." Bella said and they both headed to the kitchen as Freddy came out as well. I got off the stage, letting Bonnie go and I glared at Freddy.
"What did you tell Bella?" I growled at him and he glared back.
"Why would that be any of your business, Foxy?"
*Bella's POV*
I was getting the things needed for making the pizza with Chica. "So, what did you and Freddy talk about?" Chica asked and I froze slightly with my mouth gapped opened a bit but I closed it again and a small tear fell at the memory.
"Um...n-nothing much." I said, hesitantly.
"Okay. So, what's your family like?" Chica asked and I sighed.
"Well, it was really great except that my older brother, Michael hated kids." I said, and Chica looked at me.
"What do you mean by 'was'?" I froze completely for an entire minute but it felt like an hour.
"My siblings all moved away." I said and I turned around with a nervous smile. "So, it's fine considering that they're older than me anyways, Kate." I said, laughing a bit.
I had my eyes closed for a second but when no response came out of Chica. I opened my eyes with a nervous look. "S-Sorry, I uh, I didn't mean to call you that. I mean, I had a friend years ago that was a lot like you except she didn't look like a chicken." I said a bit embarrassed for calling her that. I was pretty sure I had a blush.
"It's fine. It just kinda caught me by surprise." She said and I smiled in relief.
"That's good. I thought I probably would've accidentally put you in a circuit shock." I said, giggling a bit. She laughed a bit.
"Yeah. It's fine though." She said and I smiled, before I sighed, frowning a bit.
"Chica," She looked at me. "I was wondering," I looked at the counter in front of me. "Why are we making pizza when I'm the only one who can eat? I can't eat a whole pizza on my own." I said, smiling again and she laughed.
"Oh, right. Well, uh...I just felt like making a pizza." She said and I laughed.
"I guess the pizza can be used later though, during the day. Maybe I could also take it home with me." I said, thoughtfully and Chica smiled.
"By the way, why did Freddy take you to the office?" I blinked a couple times, looking at her.
"Oh, he told me that you guys had human forms and showed me his. That's all. I thought he was familiar for some reason." I said and she smiled.
"Well, I could show you mine!" She exclaimed excitedly and just like Freddy's eyes, her eyes glowed and then she was in a human form. She had purple eyes and short blonde hair and she wore a dress that was yellow and fanned out at the hip down. She also wore the same apron around her neck as in her animatronic form.
She also seemed to be oddly familiar. Just like Freddy. I didn't get why. "I don't get why you guys can't stay in humans forms 24/7. I mean, I'm kinda jealous of it." I said, smiling.
"Why are you jealous?"
"I've always wanted to be able to shape-shift. I mean, even if it's between human and animatronic, I wouldn't mind. I'm kinda jealous of the fact that being an animatronic, you guys can shape-shift while I keep the same body."
"Why would having one body be bad?" She asked, coming next to me. I sighed and looked at the table.
"Trust me, if I could shape-shift, I could change into a raven or a wolf and just leave forever. At least I know that there wouldn't be any bullies in school continuously stressing you and being told what to do against your will. At least when I'm any animal besides human, I'd have a chance at knowing what freedom's like and I wouldn't have to do things that people force me not to do." I unconsciously clenched my hands at the mention of the bullies.
"I guess that's true. But, what about your family?" My eyes widened a bit and I sighed.
"I...that was a reason I was against the thought. I mean, I didn't care about Michael because of his attitude towards us, but my other siblings and my father were the only ones I had cared about before they....left. I only have my father to take care of now."
*Time Skip*
After my conversation with Chica, we were finally able to make and bake the pizza then we were able to take it out to the party room. Once we did that, everyone turned out to be in their human forms.
Foxy was dressed like a pirate, which wasn't very surprising, and he had red hair in a bit of a mess and a gold eye with his eye patch still over his eye. Foxy also had actual fox ears and tail. I found it kinda cute. He turned out to also still have his hook hand so I figured they still kept some features.
Bonnie had long purple hair in a low ponytail and red eyes and bunny ears. He wore a purple tux with a red bow tie. He had kind of a childish look to his facial features.
I smiled more, before putting the pizza on the table. "Who wants a slice of pizza?" I asked and they all smiled and rose their hands.
"I'll have some." the others gathered and we enjoyed some pizza. After that, I was heading home since it was 5:56. I sighed and looked at my hand.
'They were all oddly familiar...why was that?' I thought, before I looked in front of me again and I put my hands in my jacket pockets.
I felt something like paper in my pocket but thicker and I pulled it out. I looked at it to see that it was an image of my whole family. I sighed and put it in my pocket again. I got home and Snowflake started to try to play with me. I pet her head.
"Hey Snow. I can't play right now, all right?" I said and she just stopped being playful but her tail still wagged and she kept a happy look. I went over next to the couch and sat down, staring at the picture.
Snow whined and hopped up on the couch and nudged my arm. I looked at her and lifted my arm so she could put her head down on my lap. I started to gently pet her head and I stared at the picture. Dad came down and I quickly hid the picture and smiled.
"Morning, Dad." I said and he smiled at me.
"Hey, Bella. How did work go?" He asked and I looked at Snowflake.
"It was normal." I lied and he chuckled.
"Good. I mean, it's great that Foxy didn't try to bite your head off." I glared at him playfully.
"Dad, I keep telling you this. It's probably just glitches in his circuits. I mean, Foxy wouldn't do that kind of thing on purpose." I said and Snowflake looked up at me. Dad sighed.
"Look, Bella. Those kind of glitches could happen again. I don't want you to be the one to be in Foxy's range to get bitten." He said and I sighed.
"Dad, I'll be fine. You don't need to worry about me." He frowned.
"Look, I just don't want want you to end up like Brandon and Elizabeth, okay?" He said and I frowned before looking at the ground.
"So...that's all they are to you? The animatronics? Is that why you're creating a new place now?" I asked and his eyes widened.
"How did you-?"
"I found out myself. You know, if you didn't want me to find out, then you should keep related notes hidden better." I said and he sighed.
"I was going to tell you."
"When?! When exactly were you going to tell me exactly?!" I yelled, standing up. Right now, I was kinda pissed off cause he didn't tell me and the fact that it would mean new animatronics and the old ones would have to be scrapped or left alone. He was surprised at my sudden outburst.
"Bella, I was going to tell you. I really was." I looked at the ground, clenching my fists.
"You don't understand, do you? They're not just machines! That's always been your opinion on the animatronics you've created. You just...you just don't realize what they would feel when it comes to feeling." I said before I headed upstairs. I didn't even realize that I was crying as I headed upstairs and I went into my room.
