The Seawitch's Regret (4)
A Festival of Pranksters
The party filled the kingdom. The entire castle was celebrating and everyone knew what was happening this eve.
Levias and I were swimming back to the main event.
"Want to do something fun?" I suddenly thought of.
"YESSSSS!" Levy shouted and realized how loud she was and giggled, "Oops."
"Think of someone you don't like, annoyed by. Then tell me who they are and then I'll-"
"You won't hurt them right?" She raised her eyebrows suspiciously.
"Just a few harmless pranks," I just grinned.
"Oh Oceania Yeah!" She yelled in excitement, "Let's do this!"
"The abyss, wow.." I laughed at her excitement.
"Wait what are we supposed to do?" She was dumbfounded.
I laughed, "Just changing a few into different species, nothing much. Might change up their hair and outfits too!" I exclaimed, grinning.
"Perfect, let's go!" She grabbed my arm.
...
"So there are these two servants that are super gossipy and they talk about me all the time. I don't like them. They for some reason always don't like me." Levy furrowed her eyes, I wanted to hug her for it and tell her that I'm here for you.
"They have black locks and brown hair. They both have servant wear on."
"Oh and there is also those elders from earlier. And my siblings could always do and make over- except for Lysandria she is my only sister I like. The only other one is aboard."
"Other one?" I questioned, I thought she only had one she liked. "Yeah, Laiken. He was planning on coming but things came up over there and couldn't. He was too busy or something with his lessons keeping him." Levy raised her arms, complaining, "He's the only son of father, shouldn't they be more considerate to the future king?"
"I thought Lysandria was the oldest?" I furrowed my eyebrows.
"Yeah, but Laiken is the only son, and fifth oldest." She explained as I wrote a few spells down, Oh, it's like that, I thought. "Only the males will have a future with the kingdom."
I looked up, "And I'm guessing a lot of your siblings are happy with this?" I told her with sarcasm.
She snorted, "Pfft if fish could fly!" Levy referenced the idiom, "To his face, they act like sweet angels, but in reality they are filled with envy that someone younger is gaining it all. And please don't remind me of the outrageous things they tried to do." Levy shivered in fear and I could only wondered.
"So they are all fake?" I stated plainly, "Please tell me he is aware of this phenomenon?"
"Oh he is," She grinned, "That's why he acts especially sweet to them. Except for me because I'm his precious little sister," She smiled passionately just thinking about him.
I'd like to meet him.
"That's cute." I told her, it really was. From the way she told things, he really cared for her.
"Yeah," She laughed, "There is Lysandria, Luzamine, Lilac, Loretta, Laiken, and then me." She then sighed, "How is it Lysandria and Laiken are the only normal ones, I'll never know."
Pfft.
"Alright, let's do this. And don't worry I won't keep all the fun to myself." I grinned handing her instant magic bags. They were magic already prepared and she just had to toss some onto others.
And the madness began...
I puffed out smoke and nobody could see only for a minute. Then suddenly, I blew magic,
"Soo na koova ahada pazapra..." I whispered.
The white blonde elders I had a special surprise for them. I turned one of their hair bright neon pink with brown spots that appeared along their fin. The spots would go away in a few days and their hair can always be dyed back.
The second elder I made his hair neon green and turned their tail blue pink and orange stripes.
Now the third I turned their head into an octopuses and their body into a sharks.
Like the first one, the other two would go away in a few days.
I moved on and saw what Levy was doing. Her sisters were.... Their outfits were changed. Elegant gowns were now puffy skirts filled with rainbow or purple colored polka dots plastered over their outfits in a tacky manner.
Zigzagged striped were colored over their tails. Some had turned into other mammals like octopuses, jellyfish, phytoplankton, and even manta rays.
She grinned at me, "Let's hide!"
"Yeah," I agreed. This time I took her arm and we waited by the hallway watching the chaos unfold.
If you did something to one of us, you had bad luck.
Because I wasn't that cruel, I decided to make it wear off in a few days, but long enough to cause madness.
I peeked over the hallways and saw their terrors and screams.
Levy couldn't keep herself quiet anymore and bursted out laughing.
I joined her and together we were grinning and laughing.
"I'm so glad that I listened to you," I grinned ear to ear.
She put her hands together, "I know next time we should go even crazier!" Levy laughed, "I haven't had this much fun in such a long time, Lehz!"
"Oh definitely and then next time-" But I stopped myself when I saw Levy's feared face.
"Uhh... Alehkzir?" She grinned sheepishly and suddenly pulled my body down and turned myself around.
I was face with the king of this empire.
"Ah, Your Majesty!" I exclaimed, "Wow you are looking good. I am so glad to meet you, I am Alehkzir, but we met once before two years ago when you accused my fellow Ardizevepas and I for kidnapping miss Levy here!" I laughed good natured, "But I'm glad that's all cleared up."
"I'm so fried fish," I heard Levy lament besides me.
The king narrowed his eyes, "I'm glad I came with Levy today, it was really fun except for those who were ever mean to Levy and me. So I gave them what they deserved." I laughed, "So is there anything I can do for you, pal?"
Bam.
...
We were in the king's headquarters.
Oh he was mad.... Like mad-mad.
He had a dark red looking face filled with rage. If smoke came out of his ears and his beard turn into fire, I wouldn't be surprised.
He was storming back in forth.
Levy's head was down and she was scared.
"I can't believe you! I don't care what they did, you aren't allowed to cause chaos in my kingdom." He narrowed his eyes at me, "Levy you should know this. When I agreed to let him come with you, I though you would have this under control. No tricks!" He boomed, each word made her whimper more and more.
"Look it was just a harmless pranks," I tried to tell the king, but he wasn't having it.
"Well tell that to them. They were screaming and crying their eyes out." The king turned to Levy, "Maybe you want to explain that to three of your sisters who are now sick in bed with the sobs!"
She jumped.
"It's not permanent," I told the king, "Don't worry about it," I told him.
"I don't want you to come here again," I stared at him.
What?
Is he serious? I mean I didn't plan on it, but really dude?
"Father!" Levy exclaimed in shock.
"Oh and keep away from my youngest daughter I rather you not influence her..." He glared down at me.
Not coming here again is one thing, but not seeing Levy again is another.
"That's absurd!" I yelled, "There's no way I'm not going to see my best friend!"
"I'm the one who asked Lehz to do the pranks!" Levy suddenly lied. "It's not their fault. I just was upset with how people judged and treated me." She looked down, avoiding any of our eyes.
"Levias..." The king whispered, "You are not forbidden to see each other again," He gave in and I sighed in relief. "But! Only if you turn all of them back and apologize."
Abyss, I have to apologize?
"Only if they apologize to Levy for all they did and treated to her," I bargained.
I could care less how they view me right now.
"Agreed, I will talk to them." The king said in return. He was about to leave when he turned around suddenly, "Oh and Levy you are grounded until you are aboard."
Then he left to talk to them.
"What?!" She cried out, "I can't believe it! I'm grounded?!"
"Levy... You lied for me?" I was shocked that she would do that.
"I had to, I couldn't not see you again ever." She confessed, "I was so nervous."
"Yeah," I chuckled, "Thank you," I hugged her.
She took a long gaze at me and smiled. "But I'm grounded so I won't be able to see you until three years anyways..." She lamented with sadness dripping through every word.
"Oh Levy!" I put my arms around her neck, "You may be grounded, but I'll still visit you!" I grinned.
"You can't my father said-" I put my hands up.
"Uh uh uh, what he doesn't know won't kill him." I grinned.
Levy laughed, "You are something else, you know that?"
I smiled, "Uh I knew that I am a Ardizevepa which is something else," I joked.
"Pfft," She giggled, "Come on you!"
I swam away from her as she began to tackle and chase me.
I rolled on the ocean floor spinning. When I lifted up I was dizzy and was seeing multiple Levys.
"There... There... Three.. three of you.." I stated in a crazed state.
"Pfft haha!" She laughs and laughed and laughed.
...
They apologized much to my surprised to her and some to me too, but did they respect me? Yes and no. They respected me, but didn't trust me.
It was a start I guess.
So I apologized too, although I kinda didn't mean it.
But hey.
It's been four days since then though.
I was in the process of breaking in, like I had promised.
I've been watching the soldiers for a day and I finally gotten their scheduled memorized. Exactly around eve is their lunch break where they switch off. At that time there is a small gap where I can sneak it.
Because I'm not allowed in, the one thing the king never changed.
Lame.
I snuck in.
I got in the window.
I plopped down in her room.
"Heyyo, Levy!" I casually greet, "Howzit goin'?" I mustered in the thickest accent ever.
"Pffft!" She giggled, "Well you were actually serious and came."
"When it is about you," I told her truthfully, "I'm always serious. Always."
"Yeah..." She lowered her head, "I was afraid you wouldn't come because I am leaving in two more days."
I gasped.
"That soon?!" I exclaimed, "I should've came sooner! No way!" I shook my head.
"Yes..." She stared down, "I'm leaving and I.." Levy began trailing off, "I'm going to miss you, Lehz. A lot."
With her voice filled with such sorrow, I couldn't help but hug her and press my face against her.
"Please never forget me." I asked one simple request, "Never forget everything we ever had done together and what made us friends."
"I won't," she smiles, "And that is a promise."
"When you get back, meet me by our usual meeting spot."
I just hope that nothing changes..
"Okay." She responded.
With conversed quietly for a bit talking and messing around.
Though we were trapped to a single room, unable to go another place so there was only so much you could do here.
Just then we heard voices near her room.
Please, don't come in, I thought.
"What do you mean she's grounded and isn't permitted to see anyone?!" A voice yelled.
"..Young Master please don't be upset, but nobody is allowed in but His Majesty."
I looked over at Levy and began to hide myself in my body.
"I traveled all across Atlantic and you tell me my baby sister is grounded and I'm not allowed to see her?!" The masculine voice roared louder and I could hear the maids outside the door whimpering in fright.
"Please you mustn't disturb he is-" the mermaid, however, interrupted the maids.
Hmmm, I might like this mermaid.
"Father!" They-- I decided to called the person because I didn't want to assume- boomed probably everyone could hear it. "What is the meaning of this? Where you punishing and being unfair to Little Levia again?" I could feel the anger within the walls. "I thought you stopped doing that?"
The door slammed open.
"Laiken!" Levy exclaimed.
Laiken, the darken skinned mermaid was on the other side who was yelling, swam swiftly over with his dark locks and radiating eyes. He hugged Levy swinging her up, "Oh my baby sister! I missed you so much!"
I turned camouflaged.
"What are you doing here? Father said that you wouldn't be able to be here for that festival show why do you have it off now?" Levy looked at her brother, still being embraced by him.
He laughed, "Surprise! I came today because I honestly think you would have enjoyed it more than those tacky festivals father puts on." Laiken rolled his eyes, "I mean come on, can't he do something better. We all know all the people just dress up to impress everyone and brag about what their kids or themselves have done lately." He blew a raspberry with his lips.
Levy laughed, "Oh this is definitely better! But Father is making me go aboard soon..." Levy looked down. "I don't want to go."
"Hey it's going to be alright." He comforted her, "Besides I'll be there and you get to spend every day with your brother until the end of your second year."
Levy still frowned, "But three years?!"
"Why don't tell me you actually like it here? Last I remembered you hated it here.." he raised an eyebrow.
"I still do, but I'll miss... You remember Alehkzir?" She asked, "Well I'll miss them."
"Oh the Ardizevepa? Yeah, father stupidly thought they kidnapped you, but you were exploring those caves and befriended one by bringing one along to one of your exploration discoveries!" He laughed, "Sometimes I don't even understand Father." He shrugged.
"Yeah, well they are my best friend and I still hang out with them like every chance I get." Levy proudly admits.
"Well good for you." Suddenly Laiken frowned, "Okay but why are you grounded?"
Levy looked down, "So I might've invited Alehkzir as a plus one for the party and then everyone was bothering us so we decided to prank them...." She trailed off as she looked down in shame.
Laiken laughed, "Wait really? What did you do that's so bad?"
"Like turn several of them into different species, changed their fancy outfits, and made their hair different, but nothing much." She told him like it wasn't anything special.
He held his hand to his mouth, "Oh Atlantic! That's ocean! I mean how could he ground you for pulling that!"
"Yeah, well that's because I told him it's my fault and didn't want him to punish Lehz at all." She told him afterwards.
I kinda wondered if she knew I was still here and was hiding or if I just left and camouflaged.
"You're a good friend." He smiled and as he did he looked straight passed her right at me as if he knew I was there, but he said nothing.
He then smiled, "I'll see you later and I'll see about getting you ungrounded."
Levy's eyes twinkled, "Really?!"
He laughed, "Yeah, anything. Don't tell the others, but you're my favorite sister."
"That's cause half of them try to seduce you which is wrong on so many levels and when you're not around they talk behind your back!" She states like it's obvious.
He laughed awkwardly, "Yeah..." He frowned, "But Lysandria is cool. She digs." He was about to leave when he turned around once more, "Also tell your invisible Ardizevepa friend I said hi."
I turned visible immediately, "What?!" I became too shock to contain the invisibility, "Y-you're t-the best out of Levy's siblings except for her, herself!" I exclaimed stuttering from the nervousness that he knew I was there.
He was cool, hip, and had that hot vibe going on for him.
Though, he wasn't my type and I was getting into dating bestie's brother territory.
But I had a great admiration crush on him, but not love crush but a admiration cool crush.
"You never told me how cool you're brother was!" I exclaimed once he left, "The abyss was he cool!"
Levi shrugged, "Well he is only one year older than me." Wait that means we're the same age?!
I'm in love.
"We're the same age! I'm sixteen and so is he?!" I exclaimed with excitement.
"Yeah," she laughed at my admiration.
"I changed my mind I'm going to aboard with you," I decided, knowing I probably won't be able to take it.
Levi laughed, "No you're not."
"Am too," I revoked. "Don't worry I think I'll be able to handle it."
She rolled her eyes and lightly smacked my face, "Oh shut up, your just smitten with my brother."
"I'm jealous."
"Yeah, he was the only one that could handle father and could put a stop to anything. When I was younger I was mistreated a lot and he put a stop to it all. But we always were really close," She smiled sadly.
I wanted to hug her.
"Can I hug you?" I looked at her innocently.
She smiled, "Look I'm fine and alright. That was awhile ago, thought some still do I ignore them. They aren't worth my time." She laughed.
Wow, she is strong.
"Well I say, is your brother coming back anytime soon?" I grinned, wanting to get to know him more.
"You just think he's attractive, don't you?" She exclaimed and I laugh.
"Don't worry you're still pretty and I think I know where the both of you get it from. It has to be your mother because the king of this place," I shook my head sighing, "He's not looking too good."
She laughed, "In all seriousness, Laiken is actually my only real sibling." She looks down.
"What?!" I gasped, "No way... So most of them have a different mother from both of you?"
"Yeah, and that's probably were all the pettiness from them came from or father, he's kinda like that too. But Lysandria and the others' mother never bore a son so she was brought away. It was an arranged marriage," she laughed dryly. She turned to me, "I think he actually cared about our mother more.. So when she died he greatly grieved."
Wait she died?
I mean what?!
"Oh...I uh.." I muttered awkwardly, "I didn't mean to bring that up if-"
She put her hands up, "Hey, it's fine. She's been gone for awhile now. But that's why I... Well we are treated differently."
I rest my head on her shoulder and hugged her, "I'm sorry this happened."
"Well I met you and that is all that matters." She closed her eyes and I could just stay like that forever.
I wish I did.
I wish I could, I really did, but that never happened.
Because if she was then... She'll still be with me.
// Legend here,
I love Laiken. I always wanted a sibling like that, I love my siblings they are amazing and I get along with them better than anyone else.
But I just like the protective older brother that cares for their younger sibling relationship.
Also Alehkzir is being a bit dramatic about Laiken regarding that they love him, they don't actually.
I just have to clear that up because it might be confusing. They just admire them greatly.
And let's not talk about the ending, okay \\
