Chapter 6-Train Station=Labrynth

"You are boarding a train in four hours" she said.

"Where am I going?" I asked.

"Platform seven" she replied, obviously not wanting to answer my question the way I had intended. "Have your bags ready in thirty minutes".

I ran through the building and to my dorm. I slammed the door and my back slid down the wood and touched the floor softly. I felt the friction between my cotton clothing and the door frame.

Tears poured down my face. My eyes stung and my cheeks hurt. I didn't want to go. What about my parents? I had a feeling I wasn't going to be allowed to say goodbye to them.

A suitcase was already open and laying on my bed. I assumed that Dr.Rosenberg had put it there. Why was I leaving? I placed my hands on the floor and pushed myself up off of the fluffy, tan carpet. The doorknob of the closet slowly turned as my hand gripped it tightly. My closet didn't have very many clothing items. Just a couple of shirts, a few pairs of pants, and one pair of shoes. My tennis shoes. They are the only thing that hasn't betrayed me. Of course they weren't alive, so they didn't have the ability to do so. The last thing in my closet was a box. A wooden box. It held all of my most favorite and precious things.

I grabbed all of my clothes(and the wooden box)and stuffed them into my suitcase. It had just hit me, and I made myself wonder how all these clothes lasted me six years. I zipped it shut, and threw on my jacket. The door swung open as I sprinted through it, out of the building, and to Dr.Rosenbergs........uh.......actually, I don't know what it is.

"What is that?" I asked suspiciously.

"Oh, this?" She replied. "It's a zoomer".

"Oh" I answered back, with a hint of curiosity in my voice.

"Hop in" she said.

I pulled on the door handle and the door sprang open. I took a seat in the back and took in all of the cars features. There was a cup holder with built in heaters and coolers. I ran my fingers along the smooth leather of the interior. I felt a bump and drew my attention to the side of the car. There was a button.

"What does this do?" I asked as I pointed at it.

"That turns on the vents in the back of the car. Each vent releases whatever temperature of air that particular person favors the most" she explained.

"Oh, cool" I replied.

"Why don't you try it out?" she added.

I pressed the button, and air came blasting through the vents.

"Temperature: 76 degrees Farenheit" a robot voice said through the side speakers.

76 degrees. My favorite temperature.

I sink into the seat and let my brain relax. My suitcase is clutched tight in my hand.

"Please tell me where you are taking me" I pleaded.

"Fine, I'll tell you. I'm taking you to the train station" Dr.Rosenberg retorted.

"Why is this so hard for you?"I asked. Apparently Dr.Rosenberg doesn't have the mental capacity to answer my question, or she just doesn't want to, and it frustrates me. A lot.

"You don't need to know that right now" she mumbles in annoyed voice. "You'll find out once you get there".

Dr.Rosenberg pulls into a parking spot at the train station. She presses a button and her door jolts open. As Dr.Rosenberg steps outside, I grasp my suitcase even tighter and step out of the car as well. I look down at my hands to find that my knuckles have turned white.

We walk to platform seven in silence. My feet and hands are freezing in the winter air, but that is the least of my worries at this point. Dr.Rosenberg turns right and I do the same.

Before I even realize what has happened I am sprawled on the ground and all my belongings are too. I sit up and grab my things. I stuff them into my suitcase, and double-check to make sure that I have my box and everything in it. That's when I hear someone mumble"sorry" and jog away from the scene. He was wearing a Fedora, and a black trench coat. Just like Sherlock. I assumed he was from a different country. I shook off the thought and focused myself on trying to find Dr.Rosenberg.

That is when I realized that she wasn't anywhere to be found. I tried to stay calm and just get to platform seven. Platform three, platform two, platform one. Aaaah! I was going the wrong way! I sprinted down the alley in the opposite direction. Platform five, platform six, platform seven! I had made it. There, I saw Dr.Rosenberg standing still and looking around worried.

"I made it!" I said as I jogged towards Dr.Rosenberg.

"Oh" she gasped and pulled me into a tight hug. "Oh, I thought you were......well, you're fine so let's not bring that up, ok?".

"Ok" I answered in return. I knew that after everything that happened today, she wasn't in the mood for anymore questions.

"All boarders for the train arriving on
Platform seven, I repeat, platform seven!" a man on the train yelled. He was wearing overalls and a cap,
so I assumed he was the conductor.

"Goodbye" I said as I hugged Dr.Rosenberg with all of my strength.

"Goodbye" she said in reply."I'll miss you. Be safe".

I let go of her, and slowly walked toward the train.

I stepped inside, and the door shut in front of me. Cutting off my view of Dr.Rosenberg. The train started moving and I took a seat on one of the leather-covered benches. I looked out the window. The world I had known for so long, my parents, and Dr.Rosenberg. Gone.

A/N: That ending was so sad!!😖😨😣😰Don't worry though, things will start to escalate soon. I know I should have made the story move a little faster. But I promise that after the next chapter or two, things will start to get more action-packed.

Woohoo!!! Over 1,000 words(including the authors note) but still, 1,000 words!
