🍭Matilda's Arrival & Meeting Wonka!🍫

After traveling all night long and not getting any sleep on the plane, Matilda finally made it to England. Now she just had to hop into a taxi and get to Wonka's Factory by ten A.M. As Matilda stepped off the plane, she made sure her Silver Ticket was still in her pocket, unfortunately somebody spotted her taking it out of her pocket. And that somebody was a reporter...
"There she is!" He yelled "There's the last Silver Ticket Winner!"
Matilda was soon crowded by news reporter's, camera men and news anchors. It was really overwhelming, they shoved their microphones in her face and snapped photos of her.
Would it kill them to turn the flash off on their camera's? Matilda thought, trying to see from the flashing lights.
"Can you tell us your name, miss?" One reporter asked.
"Uh... Matilda Hartman..." she answered nervously. She had always been really camera shy!
"And you're the fifth and final Silver Ticket Winner?" A reporter woman questioned her.
"I guess I am" Matilda said, shrugging.
"And is there anything you'd like to say to the public and Mr. Wonka himself?" One man asked her.
"Oh... um... well, to the public I would say thanks for taking the time to listen to this interview and to Mr. Wonka, I guess... thanks for giving me this opportunity and see you soon!" Matilda smiled halfheartedly.
She then ran away from the news-hungry crowd, got her luggage and hurried off to grab a cab.
As Matilda's cab drove away from the airport, she sat back and sighed. This was it, she was going to spend a week in Mr. Wonka's Magnificent Chocolate Factory and for once she felt like the weight of the world was off her shoulders. That maybe her luck had changed for the better. Maybe... just maybe...
🍫🍭🍫
Willy Wonka, on the other hand, felt as if the weight of the world was balancing on his head. As he got ready that morning, he was beginning to worry that the fifth Silver Ticket wouldn't be found in time. The other four women were coming today but there still wasn't any news of a fifth ticket being found anywhere in the world. He was hoping someone that was at least half decent would find the fifth one...
Suddenly Charlie knocked on his door.
"Mr. Wonka! Come quick! The fifth and last ticket has been found!" He said through the door "They're announcing it on the radio!"
Willy rushed out of his room and ran with Charlie to the nearest radio. Sure enough they were talking about the fifth Silver Ticket Winner.
"This just in, the fifth and final Silver Ticket has been found! And just in time, today's the day Wonka's Factory gates will open for the first time in thirteen years!" Announced the radio reporter. "We were able to get a brief interview with the lucky young woman as she stepped off a plane just an hour ago! Her name is Matilda Hartman and when asked if she had anything thing to say to Mr. Wonka she replied with this: "To Mr. Wonka, I guess... thanks for giving me this opportunity and see you soon!"
For the past week when Willy heard an interview for a Silver Ticket Winner his heart sunk with disappointment. But something about this woman's voice made his heart flutter with joy. And her name, Matilda... it was so beautiful and sweet! Maybe Matilda was the one? He didn't even know her yet and he admired her.
"Mr. Wonka?" Charlie said "it's 9:57, we better open the gates."
"What? Oh, yeah..." Willy said, snapping out of his daydream state.
Willy and Charlie went to the security room of the factory. They both stared down at the big blue button that was labelled gates.
"Ready, sir?" Charlie asked him.
Willy took a deep breath. "Wish me luck!" He pushed the button and the front gates of the factory opened to the five ticket winners.
Willy watched them through the security camera monitor.
"Charlie, could you lead them inside?" He asked his protege. "I need a moment to calm my nerves."
"Sure" Charlie nodded and grabbed his coat.

As Willy tried to calm down, Matilda's heart was racing at top speed as she stepped through the gates of Wonka's Chocolate Factory with the rest of the Winners. The factory looked amazing, it really did seem like the biggest chocolate factory in the world.
They walked towards the factory and stopped when a red curtain pulled away to reveal... A puppet show?
A bunch of animatronic puppets were singing about Willy Wonka. At first Matilda thought she was hallucinating, but then she noticed the odd looks on the other ladies faces.
The puppet were eerily odd, but the song they sang was catchy:
When the song ended, the puppets froze in place and a throne showed up with no one in it.
"I'm so glad we got rid of the sparklers in that performance" they heard a young man's voice say.
At the end of the line of women was a young man who might have been twenty or older, standing beside Matilda.
"Hello, welcome to the factory" he said, standing in front of them.
"Are you Willy Wonka?" Asked Clarissa Clump.
"No" he said "I'm his protege, Charlie Bucket. Mr. Wonka's inside, he's so glad you're all here" He glanced at Matilda as he said this. "Anyways come along, I'll lead you all to him."
The young man brought the five ladies into the factory. Matilda stayed at the back of the line, she preferred to go slow and savor all the amazing sights in the factory.
When they came inside, they all instantly felt the warmth of the factory compared to the snowy temperatures outside.
"Feel free to take off your coats" Charlie told them "we have to keep the temperature warm in here, because our workers are used to extremely warm climates."
"Is there a coat closet?" Asked Elvira Entwistle.
"No, just drop your coats wherever" Charlie shrugged.
The woman seemed confused by this, but dropped their coats wherever. As they looked back at Charlie they noticed a man in a top hat walking up to them.
Matilda bit back a grin, now that looks like Willy Wonka! Mind you his hair is a surprise, but she had this wonderful feeling that he was Mr. Willy Wonka!
"Who's this dude?" Asked Vicky Glockenberry nodding in Mr. Wonka's direction.
Charlie turned "Oh, ladies, this is the owner of the factory and my good friend and co-worker, Mr. Willy Wonka."
The ladies looked at Willy waiting for him to say hello or how are you. But he simply stood there looking slightly excited and petrified with fear at the same time.
Finally the infamous chocolatier found his voice...
"Good morning Starshine, the earth says hello!" He said nervously.
They all looked utterly confused. All except for Matilda, who recognized the song he was talking about. She even sang the next lyrics to make him feel better.
"You twinkle above us, we twinkle below!" She sang low and softly.
Willy grinned. "You know that song?" He asked her.
"Of course, I used to listen to Oliver all the time when I was a little girl" she told him.
As Mr. Wonka smiled at her, Matilda felt her heart burn with affection and she was pretty sure it wasn't just the heat of the room either. Matilda could have sworn she saw the beginning of a blush on the famous chocolatier's cheeks.
Clarissa Clump then walked up to Mr. Wonka, purposely knocking her shoulder into Matilda's.
"I'm Clarissa Clump, a pleasure to meet you, Mr. Wonka!" She said, painting on the fakest smile ever.
"Oh yeah!" Willy said "Sorry to hear about your last husband's untimely death. You said he was your third husband, right?"
Matilda bit her lip to keep from grinning.
"Well, what can I say?" Clarissa said, embarrassed "I have the worst luck when it comes to husband's."
More like the husband's have the worst luck with her! Willy thought to himself.
Elvira Entwhistle came to Willy's left side and stroked his arm lovingly. Willy jumped at her touch and looked horrified.
"I'm Elvira Entwhistle, you may recognize me from my many beauty pageant appearances?" She said, batting her abnormally long eyelashes at him.
"I never really liked beauty pageant's" Willy said, trying to gently shrug her off. "I always believed there's so much more to a person than just appearance."
"You're right!" Vicky Glockenberry's voice boomed from behind Willy. "Strength is also important! Speaking of which, you got a gym in this joint, right? If I don't have at least four hardcore muscle training sessions a day I get irritated!"
Willy gulped. "Of course!" He told her "We also have many planned psychical activities for all of us to do together. That way we'll get to know each other."
"Yes well, I might have to skip a few" said Miranda Piker, who was now standing on Willy's right side. "I have to read at least one fiction and one non-fiction book a day at least and practice my violin. And at least three hours of my time must be spent working on my theoretical mathematics. It's crucially important that I work on my superior intelligence daily or I am at risk of losing it."
The four women crowded around Mr. Wonka, all of them were talking at the same time and shoving their petty complaints at him. Matilda was the only one that sat silently off to the side, she could see that Willy was overwhelmed by all the women shouting demands. Matilda could imagine what it was like to be in Mr. Wonka's position, so before she could even stop herself she broke up the situation.
"Ladies! Ladies, please!" Matilda shouted over the four other females.
The four women and Mr. Wonka turned to look at her.
"Mr. Wonka may own the factory, but he's just one man." Matilda explained calmly "I'm sure he'll take care of all our needs eventually."
"Yeah" Mr. Wonka agreed "We have everything you ladies could need or want. Now if you'll please follow me to your rooms?"
Willy lead the five women down a hallway to their rooms. Each room was just a typical bedroom, almost designed like a small hotel suite. Each woman was dropped off at a room and was left to settle in for the week-long visit.
Finally, there was just Mr. Wonka and Matilda left. As the amazing chocolatier showed the final lady to her room, he found himself unable to take his eyes off of her. Despite the fact that they had only met moments ago, Willy Wonka had already noticed a few things about her that he liked.
First, she shared his love for the song Good Morning Starshine by Oliver. Secondly, when she smiled, her dark green eyes seemed to sparkle even more. And third, her smile was contagious, everytime she smiled he felt the happiness radiate off of her, so much so that he would smile too without even knowing it.
Willy was shaken from his dazed thoughts when Matilda finally spoke.
"They really weren't kidding when they said this was the biggest chocolate factory in the world" she remarked.
"Oh... heh, yeah!" Willy stuttered "There are some rooms in here even I don't know about!"
Matilda chuckled softly.
Willy took a minute to think of another conversational topic.
"So... your name is Matilda?" He asked her.
"Yeah" she answered "Unless my parents lied to me."
Willy laughed briefly at her quip.
"Has anyone ever called you Tilly?" He asked her, suddenly.
Matilda seemed to tense up at the mention of that name. "Um... no" she answered, hesitantly "Nobody really calls me that..."
"Oh good!" Willy nodded "I'm going to call you that! If it's okay, I mean?"
Matilda seemed to be pondering the idea, then she gave him a tight smile and nodded. "Yes, of course" she replied "Feel free to call me whatever you like."
They finally made it to her room at the end of the hallway.
Mr. Wonka opened the door for her and Matilda's eyes widened at the room she was staying in.
"Wow..." she breathed in awe.
"Do you like it?" Mr. Wonka asked hesitantly. "I know it's a little dark, but I wasn't sure if you would like florescent lighting, so..."
"It's gorgeous" she turned to him. "How did you know my favorite color was purple?"
"Uh... lucky guess?" Willy shrugged.
"Thank you so much, Mr. Wonka" she told him, sincerely.
"You can call me Willy" He told her "After all the whole point of this week is for us to get to know each other... I mean not just us, there's the four other women too. Not that I don't want to get to know you too! I just always believe in fairness and..."
"I understand" Matilda chuckled.
"I thought you looked like an understanding person" Willy told her "Not that I've been looking at you... or watching you! I've been watching the other ladies too... But don't worry I don't just spend my time watching ladies all day! I mean I like ladies but I'm not a stalker or anything..."
Matilda giggled and bit back a smile watching Willy fumble over his words. Up until this moment, she was certain that she was the only person who did that. It was refreshing to see she wasn't alone.
"... I'm gonna go" Willy said "unless you need help unpacking? Not that I'm on a pantie raid or anything! I would never do that... Unless you wanted me to? But I doubt would and... yeah, well... see you later!" He said blushing bright red as he left the room.
Mr. Wonka came out into the hall to find Charlie by the door frame. And judging by the young man's face he'd heard his mentor crash and burn in that last conversation.
"A pantie raid?" Charlie asked him.
"I know, I sounded so stupid!" Willy told him. "I just missed my opportunity to make a good impression, didn't I?
"Well, I'd be lying if I said no..." Charlie replied, trying to put it gently.
Mr. Wonka moaned.
"But when it comes to relationships, the first impression is hardly ever perfect" Charlie told him.
"Oh, Charlie!" Mr. Wonka sighed "Sweet, naive, endlessly-supportive Charlie! It's hard for me to admit this but... I think I'm a goofball!"
"Oh..." Charlie furrowed his brows "I thought you already knew that..."
Mr. Wonka looked slightly offended, but in all honesty he couldn't help but agree with his young protege.
