"Hey Vlad, what's it like in Chicago? miss the cold?"

He laughs through the phone
"No sadly...I just felt like I needed to call you"

I sigh 
"And I'm okay, now are you down to come here cause the vibes at this family gathering..."

"You know she doesn't like me"

I roll my eyes
"Fine but we seriously need to hangout. I can't be missing out on my half-brother's juicy life"

"Well, I am on a date right now, but I don't know"

"I know you're probably out of their league because you are indescribably awesome"

"Moon... I miss you"

"I miss you too, now get your ass down here."
I hang up and go towards the window, it's raining hard. I leave mother's room and go downstairs.

"I miss the pool already"
Dad mopes eating out of the chicken wing box

"I think I'm gonna go" I say step towards the door 

Dad stands from his chair
"But it's raining stay the night"

"I'll be fine dad, anyways I have to check something."
I wave Monarch goodbye even though this'll probably be the last time I see her.
I leave running to my car
