Chapter 2: Enter Donquixote Doflamingo, Heavenly Yaksha
Yue
Yue. . . Yue . . . Are you alright?. . . Yue. . . C'mon kid, wake up, I hear Unten trying to wake me up.
"Ow. . . What kind of knockout drug was that?" I slowly and quietly groan, placing a hand to my head.
One that kept you asleep for about a week.
Oh that's-- WAIT, I WAS KNOCKED OUT FOR A WEEK?! I quickly shot up in panic from. . . a bed?
"Okay, who's the evil criminal mastermind?" I swing my legs from the bed before feeling some kind of fabric. I then look down and shouted, "WHO THE HELL CHANGED MY CLOTHES?!" Instead of the blue semi-long sleeve shirt with a tan vest with Navy grey pants and dark brown combat boots that I wore at Water 7, I was wearing a strapless red and black blouse with a matching Southern frilled skirt that went down to cover Whitebeard's mark with no sign of my katana. On my feet were three inch red heels that were fashioned in a strapped gladiator style. I then stand up and was about to walk out of a nearby door to look for my swords until I take a double look in a mirror.
"Oh wow," was all I could say when I look at my reflection. Someone had placed black eyeliner, red mascara, and red eye shadow for my sky blue feline eyes to pop out along with tan colored blush and foundation to make my face less paler with my lips colored red. My violet hair was also styled with the top part being tied back by black beads. Then around my neck was a necklace with the chain holding five rubies with the center jewel being slightly bigger than the rest.
Then just when what it seem twenty minutes passed by, I jump at the sound of the door opening. I was about to shift to my normal hybrid form until I see who opened the door. The unfamiliar man was very tall wearing black suit with a red tie. On the man's shoulders was a big feathered coat was colored pink. But what was making me a little uncomfortable was the man's red curved sunglasses and his large grin.
"I apologize most severely for startling you, Miss Mikami," the man says. "But I was afraid that you wouldn't wake up from the drug my associates used. It was supposed to last a day instead of a week."
"You know, it's rude not to introduce yourself," I cross my arms in a polite manner. "And how do you know me?"
"Oh my, where are my manners?" the man chuckles while using a long fingered hand to push up his glasses before extending the hand towards me. "My name is Donquixote Doflamingo. I am a Shichibukai for the World Government."
"Heeeey now," I quickly step back with my hands raised in fists "I don't want any trouble."
"You don't have to worry," Doflamingo raises his own hands in defense. "I only wanted to invite you for a evening meal. No one else besides myself and my family know that you're here."
"You sure have a way of inviting people," I rub where a small bruise was made from the dart that nailed my shoulder.
"May I be an escort to our location?" Doflamingo offers a arm. "I can assure you, no one from the World Government knows about you being here in my vaction home."
"I hope so," I muttered, "but of course." I take the tall man's arm and going out of the room, soon walking outside the building and onto a street with a starlit sky. "But where exactly is your vacation home?"
"Just a small island on the Grand Line," the Shichibukai replies. "It's only three days from Water 7, so you can return to your friends."
"And what about them? Are they having the same problems like I did?" I notice Unten's blue medical cross on my forearm that Doflamingo was holding, proving that he's still with me from the room I found myself in.
"The dosage was light on them, so they were knocked out for only for the rest of that evening," Mingo replies, his smile less creepier. "I've had a friend leave them a letter explaining about this little meeting in between us."
"I see," I look towards a small restaraunt that I was soon lead into. However, the tables that were occupied became dead quiet except for the playing musicians as Mingo and I walked to a counter where a blue haired hostess was completely calm.
"Mr. Donquixote, welcome to Sonora Dining," The hostess smiles, with a splash of courage in her eyes. "Your table has already been prepared for your arrival."
"Excellent, thank you," the warlord smiles before following the hostess to a table for two that had a beautiful view of the Grand Line. Mingo then releases my arm to pull a chair out for me to sit in.
"Thank you," I politely say when the warlord pushes the chair in before he takes the one across the table after taking his feathered coat off.
"Good evening," a waiter replaces the hostess as he hands out menus. "My name is Felix, and I'll be serving you tonight. Shall we start off with beverages?"
"Your finest red wine for me please," Mingo says in reply.
"I'll just take a cup of the Jasmine Tea with a dash of sweetner, thank you," I nod at the waiter, who jots it down on the notepad before leaving.
Hey Yue, heads up on that waiter, Unten warns me. He's a Devil Fruit user, but I have no idea who the Devil is. Be careful.
"So tell me, Miss Mikami," Mingo observes the menu of meals. "What made you leave your hometown in the North Blue? From what I heard as a Shichibukai, you left at quite a young age."
"In my opinion, fourteen isn't exactly too young to set sail," I answer as Felix quickly returns with beverages. "I thought at the time that it was the right time to see what the rest of the world looks like."
"A pirate looking for adventure," the warlord sighs with the light from the candles giving the red shades a sinister glow. "You sound like your not interested in looking for the grand prize that Kaizoku-ō Gold Roger left behind before he was executed."
"Eh, something like that," I say while making up my mind for a meal. "It's not that I don't believe in One Piece existing, it's just that I would rather see the world first before diving head first into the Hunt."
"Are you ready to order?" Felix asks after setting down a bottle of wine for Mingo along with a tea pot.
"I'll take the Beef Lo Mein, please," I hand my menu to the waiter. As he takes it, a piece of paper is slipped into my hand. I calmly but quietly open it for the paper to read, "Music can be mistuning."
Jigoku wa, sono heikinchi o nani? Unten says confusingly. 'Music can be mistuning?'
"The Reverse Mountain Fettucine for me," Doflamingo tosses his menu at Felix, who instantly catches it by a familiar reflex before tucking both under an arm.
"Excellent choice, sir," Felix says while writing down the orders on his notepad. That's when I notice something strange about his eyes. Instead of being a bright green from the first time I saw them, Felix's eyes were amber orange, like the eyes of a large cat. But the moment he blinks, his eyes go back to green.
Unten, still there? I ask for the Operation Devil when the waiter leaves.
Yeah, still here, Unten says with a serious tone. What do you need?
Something tells me Felix has a Zoan Devil with him, I theorize while taking a drink of my tea. His eye color changed when Doflamingo threw the menu at him.
I'm with you there, Unten replies. I felt some sort of animalistic presence.
I felt it too, I agree. It felt. . . . like a presence of a large cat.
Large cat. . . Unten trails off until he says, Akuma Kamigami.
What's wrong? I ask the Devil.
How pissed off are you gonna be if I told you that Dairokkan's here with Shimizu?
Do you know how furious Doflamingo will become if Yue leaves? A teenage girl mentally giggles out. He wants to have her be part of the Family.
Sujimichi, I say with an internal smirk. I was beginning to wonder how long you were going to stay quiet.
Oops, the String Devil gasps. Looks like the Devil's out of the Fruit.
I hate to say to you Suji, another voice appears in my head. But Yue won't be joining anyone unless she wants to.
Dairokkan, what are you doing here? I ask the Sixth Sense Devil.
Just listen up, Dairokkan says. By the time you leave, Cipher Pol is going to try and intercept you. Then if you refuse to join the Donquixote Pirates, Doflamingo is going to hand you over to them anyway. Which is why Crista is going to get you out of here before the CP agents arrive.
Crista? Who's Crista? Unten asks.
"Sumimasen," I look up to see a red headed girl in a chef's uniform. "I forgot to inform the waiter that we sold out on the Beef Lo Mien. Is there anything you would like to have in replacement?" That's when I recognize the eyes of the person that tried to capture me and knocked out Tora.
"Then I'll take that Chicken Rotisserie," I said before excusing myself to use the restroom. I then waited for a couple of minutes until Crista Shimizu came in. My first greeting to the bounty hunter was a punch to the face. She hits her back against the wall while holding her nose. She was about to curse until she saw me.
"That was for what happened at the Moby Dick," I glared at the red head. "Thanks to you, I can't use my fury form with Tora knocked out."
"I kept telling her that she wa gonna get hit," the hostess from before walks into the restroom. "I'm Maze, by the way. I'm--"
"Shut it before I do it for you!" I snapped.
"Shutting up," the bluette looks away in a random direction, not wanting the same treatment as her boss.
"Now, what the hell do you want from me?" I turn back to Shimizu. "First you get my brother Law in a month long coma while I was gone, secondly you knocked Tora into Kami knows how long of a coma she'll be in, plus sending a Division Commander into retirement and letting Teach get away with the Yami Yami No Mi, and now you think you can play hero and try and rescue me from a Shichibukai? What the hell are you thinking?!"
"I'm thinking about your safety as the Zoan member of the Sea Devil Trinity," Shimizu says while getting up. "I've been thinking about that since I was chosen to represent Paramecia."
"What?" I stare at her like a deer in a spotlight. "What do you mean by 'chosen to represent Paramecia'?"
"What I mean," Crista says while removing her hand from her bloody nose. "Is that you're looking at the second member of the Sea Devil Trinity to heed the Call of the Storm."
