Chapter 20: Reunion of Adopted Siblings

Marco (One week later)

    ". . .Marco . . . . Marco. . . . Oi, Marco! . . . . GET UP BIRD BRAIN!"

   SLAP! BONK! CRASH!

"WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU YOI!" I yelled with a pulsing vein, holding both my face and head as I shot up from the floor to glare at Kenji. What he did was slapped me hard enough to send me crashing down from my bed.

"It's Ace," the bear teen says. "He's gone. Oyaji tried to stop him, but he didn't listen."

"Well, you know that Teach was in Ace's division," I sighed heavily. It's been a very long week since Thatch and Yue were attacked. After waking up from the attack two days after that, Yue tried to do everything in her power to help Thatch get better. The Fourth Division Commander, and Ace's close friend, ended up to being very close to dying from his injury. Luckily, Yue had the same blood type as him, so he was saved in time. However, the nurses unfortunately told Pops that the injury was too great, Thatch has to resign not only as Division Commander, but also as a pirate.

"Hey guys," Kenji turns to see the tiger girl standing at the door. She was very pale with slight dark circles under her eyes. Her hair was slightly messy and a tad bit longer due to the fact that she didn't cut it back to keep it to that tomboyish style. Her outfit was a blue semi-long sleeve shirt with a tan vest with Navy grey pants and dark brown combat boots with her katana hanging at her left hip.

"How're the Devils?" Kenji asks. Yue looks at a different direction with a hand behind her head.

"Chaotic," was one word the sword wielder says. "Jishin's panicking with Guma, Unten left for a head start to Water 7 since we'll be there in an hour, Kasai left with Ace,  Feni's trying to calm some other Devils down, and I finally got the chance to met Dairokkan, the Devil of the Kan Kan No Mi."

"What about Tora yoi?" I ask.

"I don't know," the sword wielder bows her head. "When that hunter Shimizu knocked me out, she ended up knocking out Tora too. Everyone tried everything to wake her. Even Guma tried to roar her ears off, she wouldn't respond."

"So you're basically screwed with her not around?" Kenji confirms. Yue nods her head before sniffling.

"If only we were stronger, none of this would've happened," she starts to cry, tears start to form in her eyes. "I suck at this Trinity job."

"It's not your fault," a blue haired woman appears behind her. She was wearing a blue and yellow outfit that looks like blue fire when she moves.

"But I don't know what to do, Feni," Yue cries before freezing and turning around. "Feni?!"

"That's Marco's Devil?" Kenji asks with wide eyes.

"Y-yeah, it's been a while since I seen her yoi," I look down while running a hand through my hair.

"Anyway," Feni cups Yue's face, using her thumbs to wipe away the delicate tears. "Tora is a young, but very strong Devil. She was born a fighter. I'm sure that when you absolutely need her, she'll come around. And look on the bright side, at least you get to see your brother again after being a month away from him. And you want to know something?"

     "What?" Tora's Master asks.

"A small seagull whispered in my ear that Law's awake and looking for you in Water 7," the Phoenix Devil smiles. "Apparently he awoke when Unten went back to him."

"Thanks for the heads up, Feni," Yue suddenly hugs her, crying tears of joy, rather than tears of sadness.

"The best I can do on cheering you up, Wakaichi," the Devil hugs back. "Now, save the tears for a later time. It's time for you to go get your things and be ready to leave with Thatch. Apparently he wants to go with you after he gets ready."

"Again Feni, thank you," Yue wipes her eyes and dashes off. "See you soon!"

"What a girl," Feni shakes her head with a smirk. "She reminds me too much of Megumi."

"How old are you again?" Kenji asks before I smack him upside the head.

Yue (Two Hours Later)

"Dang it, I wanted to say goodbye, that hotheaded jerk," I puff out my cheeks on the docks of Water 7 after hearing about Ace going after Teach. But then again, I hope he and Kasai are careful when it comes to fighting Teach and Kurai when the time comes.

"He left this for you," Izo, the Sixteenth Division Commander, places a small box in my hands. I then open it to reveal a beaded bracelet. Two of the beads were glass like spheres with a piece of paper in each one. One was pointing to the west to Water 7 while the other paper was pointing south.

"So that's where Law's vivre card went," I smirk as I put on the bracelet.

"Ace also put his card in, just in case if you need his help," Izo explains. "It's a bracelet that you can put five cards in by twisting the beads."

"Interesting gift, but he's gonna get a bruise making punch when I find him still for not saying good bye," I pouted before seeing Pops talking to Thatch. "So who's going to take over for Thatch as Fourth Division Commander?"

"I've been hearing it might be Kenji," Division Commander Vista says. "After all, besides the pranks he is mature enough to lead his own crew."

"Dōi suru," Izo replies. "He'll make a great commander."

"Hey, Neko-me," Oyaji calls from the ship as Thatch carefully walks down the plank and onto the dock. "Take care of Thatch until you find your crew."

"Shinpai shinai, Oyaji," I call back. "I'll make sure Thatch doesn't get into trouble."

"Not as much trouble as you get into," Thatch smiles a smartass smirk. He's wearing black trousers with an open green shirt revealing his right side bandaged from where he was stabbed.

"Take care, Yaseioko," Izo hugs me farewell before boarding with Vista. Soon the Moby Dick takes off, with everyone of the crew waving and crying good bye to the former Division Commander. He and I wave back in return. Soon the whale shaped ship disappears in the horizon of the sea.

"Dude, are you trying not to cry?" I asked when I notice Thatch biting his top lip with his eyes threatening to tear up. "Because it's okay to cry every once in a while."

"I can't help it," Thatch breaks down, leaning his forehead on my shoulder. "All the time I was with those guys, they were a family that gratefully took me in."

"I know buddy," I pat the former commander's back. "I know. But think of it this way, you might meet a nice girl and start a family of your own."

"Yeah, good point," Thatch uses his left hand to dry his eyes. "Let's go. We don't want to keep that brotherly captain of yours waiting."

"Of course not," I smile before I look at Law's vivre card in the bracelet that Ace left behind for me. The card points to the city of Water 7, giving slight direction to where my adopted brother could be.

"This way," I walk towards the direction with Thatch following close behind as we enter the city. Soon we went into the marketing part of it, staying on the cement walkways rather than rent Yagara Bulls.

"If I was Law, where would I be?" I murmured, following the direction of the vivre card.

"Hey Yue," someone casually says while walking pass me. It took me a total 'blond' moment to realize who it was by the red hair sticking out of a hat.

"Shachi, you tonchiki!" I yelled at my crew mate, causing to realize in shock who he just walked by. That's when I get a literal bear hug from other crew mates.

Law

"Are you getting everything well?" I was asked by a passing clerk while I was looking at medical herbs.

"Just browsing," I muttered, rubbing my eyes from the month long coma. Even though I should be resting, I wanted to do something to stretch out. . . something to get my mind off of events.

"Okaerinasai!" I hear my crew  suddenly shout. I look from the herbal stand to the men dressed in white and orange jumpsuits huddling around someone. Then all of a sudden, a gust of wind blew, knocking my hat off and sending it flying to my crew. When it lands, it goes into the center of the group.

"Well, this is a nice hat," a voice says, causing the crew to split up to reveal a swords-woman. My hat had landed on her head, hiding her eyes. But what got my attention was that Arashi Bureka, my gift to Yue, hung at her hip.

"Excuse me miss," I calmly walk up to the girl, trying not to start a fight. "Where did you get that sword?"

"If you're talking about Arashi," the girl raises her head, revealing sky blue cat eyes, "It was a birthday gift from my adopted brother." My eyes widen in shock as she adjusts my hat, revealing violet hair that was in a tomboy style.

"Y-Yue?" I stuttered out, tears threatening to fall. "Is it really you?"

"I told you I would find you, Aniki," Yue smiles, holding out her arms. "Now get over here and get the crying part done and over with." I obeyed as I laughed and cried at the same, hugging and sweeping Yue off her feet with the crew cheering with excitement. My little sister has come back home. And I couldn't be any happier than before in my life to see her smile again.
