My notes;

Jesus! He was already in the wastelands before the Word of God came to him. John didn't have an easy life at all, it must have been conflicting enough to both his parents who had to have an explanation, till when they couldn't anymore and he too couldn't, and the stress and pressure must have been so strong that he had to get out to the wasteland for peace and quiet, and that itself became a place of solace for him, till he realised that he could do without the noise and bustling and questions thrown at him and enjoy the peace and quiet.

Firstly, his heart ached because of his mother and father, but over time he realized that God must direct his cause and he left literally damning the consequences to the wastelands.

What he did there, I can only imagine the time it took for him to let go of the hurt and the guilt of denying his parents the right to be normal parents in him to finally praying earnestly for a release; to be brought into this mandate that he was by nature now.

He had to change his prayers to God, "You must ride upon this image that I am now because I know You have a plan for each and everyone, You don't despise anyone and regardless, I know you spoke great things about me."

I cannot imagine the days he felt God had deserted him because he wasn't going to the synagogue and those little encouragements that we often need for life and godliness and sustenance had been cut off.

God however didn't want to show up until John had put the distraught behind him and his only prayers was ride through me, the God shows up to say, I've always had a plan for you John and I've watched you try very hard to know what it is because it's not something that you do on your own and now, I've come to tell you that it's not going to be easy from here, but you're the man for the job, and John submits because it's refreshing to his soul that God has seen him through the entire period he thought he was running mad and he accepts God's Will.
