That monday night, Ethan, Kayla, Kevin, Maddie and Dewey all entered thr abandoned mall where the Killer sightings were apparently reported, Gale stayed behind in the cop car reviewing footage from the cameras the group had.

"Once we're inside, we're gonna lose all radio service in there so be sure you're prepared if the killer strikes." Dewey said, speaking to Gale on the radio.

"Gotcha, I'll be here waiting for the cameras to be in position" Gale radioed back.

"Alright, we're heading inside now" Dewey radioed and turned off the radio

The group went inside through a broken glass door which served as a main entrance to the mall.

"What now?" Ethan asked curiously

"We're gonna split up into groups and we'll place these cameras down so we can watch the killer" Dewey explained.

"Well who is going to be in the groups?" Kayla asked

"Ethan and Kayla, i will be with you two. Kevin and Maddie will be a group" Dewey said, giving both groups 4 cameras each.

Kevin finally spoke up. "What if we run into the killer and he tries to kill us?"

"Just run for your life and head back to the police car with Gale." Dewey said.

"Now you got me thinking he's actually here..!" Maddie said worriedly

"Again just run, neither of yall can fight him yourself" Dewey added. "Now, let's get moving."

The 2 groups split up and went into opposite directions of the mall... something or someone on the other hand, was watching them.

Deweys group headed into a food court and they all looked around the eerie area.

"Yeah this definitely screams Ghostface!" Kayla said loudly, her voice echoing as Ethan shushes her.

"It's best we be quiet, if the killer is here then he could be anywhere" Dewey said as he went into one of the stores near the food court, shining his light inside

"See anything?" Ethan asked, peering inside as well.

"I don't, there's nothing there" Dewey said, moving on

Ethan placed a camera inside one of the stores and turned it on.

---Meanwhile, on the other team---

Kevin and Maddie walked into an abandoned movie theater within the mall and looked around inside.

"If i was a very deranged psycho killer, where would i hide?" Kevin said, wondering

"Well i don't see him anywhere up here. No killer in here" Maddie said, coming down the stairs.

"Let's just place a camera in here and move on." Kevin said as he went up the stairs

Maddie gets really close to Kevin, and stayed close

"Is something wrong?" Kevin asked with a concerned tone

"What if there really is a killer in here Kevin? There is a killer in this mall!" Maddie said, scared as hell.

"Even if there is, we'll be long gone by the time he knows we're here." Kevin said confidently as he and her began to leave the theater and moved on to the next store.

The 2 kids kept on going and they noticed a red liquid on the ground. It was blood

"Blood?" Kevin wondered aloud as he shined his light ahead and saw a person strapped to a chair.

The man was a thief who had been caught by Ghostface and he was already dead. His eyes were gouged out and his stomach was sliced open, revealing his internal organs. Both Kevin and Maddie gagged as they turned and saw another figure at the other end of the hall and it was coming right for them.

"Is that...?!" Maddie asked with terror in her voice.

"It is... RUN!!" Kevin shouts as he takes Maddie by the hand and ran for their life, the person chasing them was the killer!

---Meanwhile---

Ethan, Kayla and Dewey were now on the second floor of the mall as they looked around for clues.

"We placed all the cameras on the 1st floor now i guess we find clues as to who this killer is" Dewey said, shining his light in different directions

The group came up to another body like the one Kevin and Maddie found, this body had dozens of stab wounds covering his chest

"Is he...?" Kayla asked worriedly

Dewey reached down and checked the mans pulse. "Yeah. He's dead."

Ethan looked around as if he was sensing something "He's here.."

"Who?" Dewey said, turning towards him

"The killer, he's here somewhere and i think he's getting close" Ethan said with concern covering his voice

"Ethan, Kayla, get behind me." Dewey said as he loaded his cop gun and the 2 kids got behind him

Dewey shined his light down the hall as he held his gun. "I don't see anything down there."

Just then, something grabbed Kayla and covered her mouth, muffling her screams! It was the killer!!

"Dad!!" Kayla shouted, getting the sheriff's attention.

"Kayla!" Dewey shouted as he came running in.

The Ghostface killer looked up and slashes Kayla right in the humerus and throws her to the floor

"FREEZE!" Dewey shouted as the killer stared him in the eyes.

The killer came running in with his knife brandished and Dewey shot him 5 times in the chest and he went flying off his feet. Dewey and Ethan rush over to Kayla who was clutching her arm in pain

"Kayla! Are you ok?" Ethan asked, helping Kayla to her feet.

"I'll live. He only got me in the arm" Kayla said, staggering to her feet and struggled to keep her balance.

Dewey looked to where the killer had fallen and saw that he wasn't there anymore.

"Stay back you two! He's gone!!" Dewey said, pulling the kids behind him.

"Gone?! Didn't you shoot him?" Kayla exclaimed

"He must have a bulletproof vest on, shots like those would've killed him for sure if he didn't have one" Dewey said, backing up.

Ethan sensed something and turned and saw the killer right behind him. Ghostface swung his knife but Ethan ducked, the blade of the knife stabbing into the wall instead

"Run!!!" Dewey shouted and the 3 ran for their lives

The 3 eventually ran into Kevin and Maddie who seemed to be running from Ghostface as well.

"Thank heavens we found you guys! We found somebody dead near the movie theater and were chased by the killer" Kevin said relieved.

"You guys ran into the killer too?" Ethan asked.

"You were attacked as well? But how does that make sense? There's no way the killer made it to the other end of the mall that quickly" Maddie said

Dewey finally spoke up, removing his hat. "I think there is a logical explanation for this, there might be 2 killers"

"2 killers?" Kayla asked in surprise.

"Not a new concept but its a deadly one too. 2 killers makes more people a suspect and it makes their dirty work more efficient: one does the calling and the other does the killing" Kevin said.

"I feel like these aren't just random killings, whoever's behind this is trying to copycat previous killers. Whoever this is will keep coming for you guys." Dewey said as he looked at the kids in worry.

Dewey put his gun away and headed for the exit "let's get out of here."

The group left the mall as the killers silently watched them. One of them giving a little head-tilt

---The Next Day, After School---

Ethan and Kayla walked through the Woodsboro town after school and they talked about last night, Kayla was wearing gauze wrap over her arm from the injury she received from the killer.

"You really think there could be 2 killers." Kayla asked.

"After last night, its starting to come together. There's no way 1 killer was able to get to the other side of the mall that quickly. 2 killers has to be the answer" Ethan explained.

"Well i think Dad was right. These aren't just random murders. Someone is out there trying to copycat the original killers." Kayla said

"Who would want to copy Billy Loomis or Stu Macher? Those 2 died a long time ago and their legacies died with them" Ethan said angrily.

"Is something wrong?" Kayla asked.

"Those 2 killed my grandmother many years ago." Ethan said

"Maureen Prescott? Her murder case was one of the most famous cases in Woodsboro." Kayla said

"What about you? You lost anyone to these killings?" Ethan asked

"My dad lost his sister Tatum in the original killing spree, she would've been my aunt if she was still here" Kayla said. "What about you? What did you know about Maureen Prescott?"

"Well living in the Prescott family results in a cursed and weird life. I was told she lived a double life as an actress who was taken advantage of romantically. She had an affair with Billy Loomis' father which resulted in her murder." Ethan explained, his heart sinking.

"Have you ever seen pictures of her?" Kayla asked

"Only ones where she is with my mom. She doesn't have any other pictures of her." Ethan said

The 2 were silent for a moment.

"How's your arm?" Ethan asked, breaking the silence

"Just slashed the skin and thats it. Wasn't too deep of a deep cut." Kayla said, rubbing her bandaged wound

"That could've been a lot worse, he could've stabbed something vital like your heart or something." Ethan said worriedly

"Well dad is now teaching me how to use a gun now so I'll be able to defend and protect myself against these maniacs." Kayla said with a smile.

"Well be safe. I feel like we can now run into the killer at any time." Ethan said and started to head home after saying goodbye to Kayla.
