[Chapter 1: First Day]

August 9th, 2029

It was Ethans first day back to Woodsboro High School and he for once was actually kinda excited about it. He missed all his friends who he did keep in touch with and recently he had found a Girlfriend named Kayla Riley, the daughter of Sherrif Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers, important people that were involved in the Woodsboro murders many years ago. Ethans mom was Sidney Prescott, a survivor and famous victim from those same murders

Ethan walked into the school and he searched for his homeroom. only to bump into Kayla

"K-Kayla! It's you!" Ethan said in surprise, rubbing the back of his neck.

Kayla giggles and goes up and kisses him on the cheek "how've you been? You doing great?"

"I'll manage. It's our senior year so we gotta make this count." Ethan replied, smiling a bit

"Can i see your schedule real quick?" Kayla asked, taking out hers.

"Sure i guess. Why?" Ethan asked, a bit confused

Kayla smiled and pecked her boyfriend on the cheeks "i wanna see if you have classes with me, it would make me sad if i didn't have at least 1 class with you"

"Well alright." Ethan reached into his binder and pulled out his schedule and handed it off to Kayla.

Kayla compared her schedule with his and looked between them, examining the 8 periods that they had. "Yep you have English, History, Art and Film with me"

"You have Film too? That's awesome." Ethan said happily, his voice with a hint of excitement

"Yeah. You know i love watching movies, regardless of the genre! I wanted to takie it last year but didn't have room on the schedule for it." Kayla says with a smile

"You like scary movies?" Ethan laughed, imitating Ghostfaces voice

"Come on. You know I've seen the Stab movies, you're not gonna scare me so easily" Kayla laughs, covering her mouth

Their friend, Kevin Smith comes running up and hugged them both "How has it been my friends?! Its been so long!!

"It's been real great Kevin! I assume you have Film too?" Ethan asked, pulling out his schedule.

"Yep, 3rd period!" Kevin said proudly, holding up his schedule.

Another friend, Alexis Rainey joins in.

"Hello Alexis, you got Film too?" Ethan asked curiously

"I do, i have it 7th period though." Alexis said with a small chuckle

"Damn that's sad, we all have it 3rd Period" Kayla said, putting her extra stuff in her locker

The school bell finally rung and classes were about to begin.

"Well good luck in hell guys" Kevin said and his friends just laughed at the joke.

---A few hours later at lunch time---

Ethan sat at one of the empty tables waiting for Kayla and Kevin to get here. The 2 friends finally sit at the table with their lunch and began to eat.

"Did yall hear about Bailey Cooper? She got attacked by some jackass in a Ghostface mask" Kevin said, starting a conversation.

"Attacked? Like as in she got stabbed or something?" Kayla asked, a bit curious and worried at the same time.

"Ghostface?" Ethan asked

"Yeah, cops found her on the living room floor with multiple stab wounds in her back" Kevin explained. "Popular belief says that this could be another Ghostface killing"

"But there hasn't been another Ghostface killing spree in several years besides the Father Death costumes are now very hard to find nowadays" Kayla said, eating her lunch.

"How'd you find out about this Kevin?" Ethan asked curiously

"You didn't see it? It was on the news this morning." Kevin said. "I also live close to her house, there were a ton of police cars and an ambulance there."

"Is she dead?" Ethan asked

"I don't know, i wouldn't think a few stabs to the back would kill someone but you may never know." Kevin said

"I guess it depends on where in the back you get stabbed, you would be fucked if the blade got you in the spinal cord" Kayla said

Kevin gestured towards Kayla, point proven. "Exactly."

"Thing is, who could've done something like this.." Ethan wondered out loud

---Later, After School---

Ethan and Kayla walked outside the school premises and they walked and talked for a bit.

"So what are you gonna be doing when you get home" Ethan asked with a smile

"Absolutely nothing!" Kayla said dramatically with a little laugh

"I understand, today was rough for a first day back" Ethan said

"It'll be our last too. After May, we'll never see this place again" Kayla said, a little sad

"I figured that would be for the best ya know" Ethan said, trying to keep a positive attitude

"You know what i mean Ethan, i'll miss this school and the people in it. Don't you feel the same?" Kayla said

"A little bit. I have had some fond memories here but i will be so ready to graduate at last" Ethan said.

Kayla just smiles and she kisses her boyfriend hot on the lips and started to leave "i'll see you tomorrow Ethan"

Ethan watches as Kayla headed down the sidewalk towards her bus and he began to do the same. "What a girl.." he thought to himself

---That evening---

Ethan laid down on his bed as his mother, Sidney Prescott came in and sat down on his bed

"How was school?" Sidney asked, placing a hand on her sons shoulder.

"It went pretty well I'd say, i have classes with most of my friends so its a plus" Ethan said, not looking away from his phone.

"Who are you texting?" Sidney asked curiously. "Is it Kayla?"

Ethan nodded and Sidney laughed. "You really like her, don't you?"

"She's wonderful, she's super beautiful" Ethan said, a hint of love in his voice.

"You know her parents are Dewey Riley and Gale Weathers right?" Sidney said with a smile

"You mean Dewey Riley, Woodsboros greatest sheriff and Gale Weathers, the famous reporter?" Ethan asked, his eyes lighting up in excitement

"Well Gales has retired from reporting but she does still write books. Nowadays they are more for teens and young adults compared to some of the 'Woodsboro massacre' books." Sidney explained

Ethan froze and put his phone down and looked at his mom. "That reminds me, have you heard?"

"About Bailey Coopers attack? Yes i have, it was on the news this morning after you left." Sidney said, worry coming into her voice

"You think it's happening again?" Ethan asked, leaning into his mothers arms

"I don't know but i need you to be careful. This isn't some Jason Voorhees or Freddy Krueger killer, anybody can be Ghostface which means anyone you see can be a suspect." Sidney said with a serious tone in her voice.

"You really think this maniac is gonna come for me?" Ethan asked with worry in his voice

Sidney rubs her sons back as she held him tight, doing all she could to keep him safe as possible but she had a feeling she couldn't do that forever.

"I don't know.." Sidney simply said. Ethan fell asleep in her arms.

To Be Continued..
