Kiba Inuzuka is often short-tempered and impulsive (in stark contrast to his teammates Shino and Hinata), and can be prone to making mistakes when he becomes agitated in battle. He also enjoys combat even when facing particularly strong opponents. He cares deeply for Akamaru, and is willing to do whatever is necessary to protect him. And, despite his rather gruff attitude, many of Kiba's actions reveal that he is very close to his older sister, Hana, and remains fiercely loyal to his clan and has great pride in it.

Kiba's personality and fighting style is further complemented by his wild appearance as, while clearly human, he has several physical traits more akin to animals. Like most of his clan, he has messy brown hair, sharp black eyes with vertical slit-like pupils, pronounced canine teeth, and nails that he can change into claws. He also has the distinctive red fang markings of the Inuzuka clan on his cheeks.

Kiba's attire consisted of dark greyish pants reaching to his calves and a grey, hooded fur-lined coat, with the hood usually placed on his head, over an apparent plate of armour and fishnet undershirt.

Anyway, Shikamaru looks at the white-haired man, and asks, "Who are you?"

He answers, "My name is Kabuto Yakushi."

At times, Kabuto can seem quite open, more than willing to approach people and always confident in his own words and actions. By his own admission, he is an introvert who doesn't like to be looked at and who wants to stick to the background. He can be very critical of others, dismissing their personal desires and outlining all the flaws he perceives them to be making. To those he feels are deserving, he is nothing but polite, regarding them with deference, using the appropriate honorifics, and chastising those who don't do the same. He can be cruel, preying on sensitive topics in order to rile someone up and punctuating his comments with sarcasm. Other times he is kind, putting himself at risk, and being helpful for no immediate benefit to himself.

The many contradictions of Kabuto's personality are a result of his frequent role as a spy, having spent most of his life changing identities and loyalties in order to gather information for some organisation. Kabuto has onyx eyes and ash-grey hair, which he normally keeps in a ponytail. His most consistent feature are his black rimmed circular glasses, given to him by Nonō. Kabuto wears a dark purple shirt with a high collar, a white under-shirt, and dark purple pants with a white cloth waistband. He also wears dark purple fingerless gloves with armoured plates on the back of the hand and a blue Konoha hitai-ate.

Shikamaru asks, "Why are you talking to us?"

Kabuto answers, "I'm just here to help my fellow Konoha Shinobi. I have Ninja Info Cards, for everyone taking the exams." He grabs a card, and shows it to the Genin. Kabuto continues with, "Once I channel my chakra through the cards, it show all the info that has. So who do you want to know about?"

Sasuke says, "Sabaku no Gaara, Naruto Uzumaki, and Rock Lee!"

Kabuto replies, "You already know their name, that gives me no fun in trying to find the cards, oh well."

The Yakushi shuffles his deck of cards, and pulls one out. He says, "Here it is. Sabaku no Gaara. He is the son of the Kazekage. His teammates are his siblings Temari and Kankuro. Their sensei is Baki. Not much is known about his skill. He has 20 C-Rank Missions, and 1 B-Rank mission. Rumor has it he came back without a single injury after every mission."

Kabuto shuffles his deck of cards once again, and pulls another card out. He says, ""Rock Lee. His sensei is Might Gai, and his teammates are Neji Hyuga, and Tenten. He has no skill in Ninjutsu, and Genjutsu, but is a master at Taijutsu. He has done 20 D-Ranks, and 11-C-Rank missions."

Kabuto shuffles his deck for a third time, and pulls once again another card. He says, "Naruto Uzumaki, son of the Yondaime Hokage, Minato Namikaze, and the Red Death, Kushina Uzumaki. Jinchuuriki of the Kyuubi. His teammate is Pakura Uzumaki. I have no details on his abilities, other than that he can use the Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique). His Sensei is Kuroi Kaminari no Darui (Darui of the Black Lightning). He has completed 30 D-Rank missions, 1 C-Rank mission, no B-Rank mission, and 1 A-Rank Mission. His nicknames are Kuroi Kaminari no Naruto. Kumo's no Kiiroi Senkō (Kumo's Yellow Flash), and Nami no kyūseishu (Saviour of the Wave)."

Just then the proctor for the first part of the exams showa up. He walks to Kabuto, and places a hand on his shoulder. The Proctor says, "My name is Ibiki Morino. I head the T&I Division, and I'm the Proctor of the first part of the exams. Exchange your entrance slip for your seat number. This is a written test."

After all of the candidates sit down. Ibiki says, "Everyone! Eyes up front! I have some rules to say. Rule number one. The scoring system, is a point reduction system. You start out with a perfect score of 10 points. If you miss three you have a score of 7 seven points. Rule number two. The test will be graded by the total team points. If you have zero points your team will get disqualified. Rule number three, these Chunin here are to look out for cheating. If you are caught cheating, you lose 2 points from your score. Which means if you get caught cheating five times you, and your team gets disqualified. The last question won't be given out until the last 15 minutes of the test. Get started."

The Genin flip over their tests to see that it's way too hard for Genin to know. Naruto instantly knew what he was supposed to do. It was so simple. Ibiki made it so that they'd have to cheat. Not that Naruto needed to cheat, but well... Why not.

Naruto then looks for the "Genin" who are not cheating. Sakura, and Pakura are actual Genin so that rules them out. He finds a Chunin with a test sheet fully answered. He subtly fingers one of his tri-pronged kunai, and throws it at the paper placing the Hiraishin Formula onto the paper. The Uzumaki then places the Hiraishin Formula on his test sheet. Naruto then swaps the test sheets in a Yellow Flash. Once, Naruto gets the test sheet, he just writes his name on it, and takes a nap.

Before they knew it, over half of the Genin had been disqualified. Ibiki says, "It's now past the last 15 minute mark. I'll give you the 10th question. You can choose whether to get it or not. Raise your hand if you don't want to take it, but before you do, if you chose to take the question, and get it wrong you can't take the Chunin Exams ever again."

The whole room gave out a gasp. They were shocked, angry, and scared. Ibiki liked the faces on the soon to be Chunin. Soon one after the other, hands shakingly shot up. Naruto saw this, and starts to raise his hand. He then slammed his hand on the desk, and says, "Your not going to fool me. I don't care if I'm a Genin. It doesn't say anywhere that a Genin can't become the Raikage, or the Hokage. I'm going to take the question."

Ibiki sees the total confidence in Naruto's, and all of the Genin's eyes. He says, "You all pass."

The Genin were shocked, well most of them were. Ibiki then explains the true purpose of the test. Some were angry, but they realized the man was right. Sometimes you have to take the risk.

Then a white banner came crashing through the window, and held to the wall with kunai. The banner said, 'The single and Sexy Anko Mitarashi the Proctor for the second part of the Exams!'

Anko is noted to be similar to Naruto Uzumaki, both being loud, stubborn, and prone to acting without thinking. Despite her personality quirks, Anko has a strong commitment to her village and mission, often choosing to face threats alone in order to buy time for her allies to escape or for backup to arrive. This is particularly true in matters relating to Orochimaru: although she admired him when she was a child and aspired to be like him when she was older, she now believes it is her obligation to use the same jutsu he taught her to bring him to justice. The Sandaime Hokage insists that Anko shouldn't blame herself for anything that Orochimaru does.

Anko is a fairly tall woman who was of slender frame. She has light brown, pupil-less eyes. Her hair is violet, and is styled in a short, spiky, fanned-ponytail. She usually wears a fitted mesh body suit that covers her from her neck down to her thighs. Over this, she typically wears a tan overcoat with a purple in-seam and a pocket on each side, a dark orange mini-skirt, a dark blue belt, and pale grey shin guards. In addition to the typical hitai-ate, she also wears a small pendant that looks like a snake fang and a wristwatch.

She sees all the Genin She says, "Ibiki how could you let so many through. Your test was too easy."

Ibiki then retorts, by saying, "Or maybe there's a stronger crop of candidates this year."

Anko says, "they sure don't look it. Trust me by the time the second test ends half of you will be gone. Report to Training Ground 44 in two days. Your Senseis will have the directions!"

Anko then disappears through the same window she appeared through.
