Naruto, and Darui are still in the Raikage's office. He says, "I already signed the slip. I will still be going! I will still be taking the exams! I do not care if you won't let me! I'm the strongest person here!"

The Raikage replies, "Wanna bet!"

Naruto says, "I sure do!"

The Raikage then says, "Okay then! We'll have a spar! If I win, Kumo's Genin will not be allowed to take the Chunin Exams in Konoha. If you win, Kumo's Genin will be allowed to take the Chunin Exams in Konoha. Deal?"

Naruto answers, "Deal, and Darui will referee!"

The Raikage says, "Okay, now follow me!"

As the Raikage gets out from behind his desk, Naruto places a Hiraishin Formula onto him, and follows him to a training ground. Once there, the Raikage settles into his Taijutsu stance. As lightning covers his body, he yells, "Raiton Chakura Mōdo (Lightning Release Chakra Mode)!"

Darui semi-yells, "Hajime (Begin)!"

The Raikage then dashes towards Naruto, who just disappears in a Yellow Flash. The Kage instantly stops, and looks all around for Naruto. Naruto covers his legs in Lightning Chakra, but just enough to counteract the Raikage's. The blonde then falls, and connect both of his feet with the Raikage head, forcing the man to fall straight on his face. He yells, "Kyūkyoku no enseki sutonpu (Ultimate Curb Stomp)!"

Naruto then quickly gets off of the Raikage, who gets up, and again rushes toward Naruto. The blonde lets his Kage get close. The Raikage smirks as Naruto is about to get hit, but the smirk leaves. Naruto quickly flings a tri-pronged kunai away from him, and disappears in a Yellow Flash.

Naruto then channels Black Lightning into his hand, and reappears in front of the Raikage in another Yellow Flash. He yells, "Kuroi Kaminari: Chidori (Black Lightning: Chidori)!" The blonde spins, driving his chidori through the Raikage's shoulder.

Naruto then jumps high into the air. His hand forms into the shape of a gun, with his index, and middle fingers extended outwards. A sharp rock forms in front of his fingers. Then the rock ignites into flames. Naruto yells, "Katon: Moeru Yōna Iwa no dangan (Fire Release: Flaming Rock Bullet)!" He moves his hand imitating the recoil of a gun, and the flaming rock shoots towards the Raikage, but it barely gets through the armor of lightning.

While still in the air, Naruto changes techniques, and Black Lightning covers Naruto's hand. He extends his hand out in front of him, and yells, " Kuroi Kaminari: Chidori Boruto (Black Lightning: Chidori Bolt)!" A short bolt-like arrow then shoots from Naruto's palm, and the bolt goes through the Raikage's elbow.

When Naruto lands, he makes a single hand seal, and yells, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique)!" In puffs of smoke, Shadow Clone appear, and surround the Raikage.

All of the Naruto clones channel Black Lightning into their hands. He yells, "Kuroi Kaminari: Tajū Chidori Boruto (Black Lightning: Multiple Chidori Bolts)! The bolts of lightning then shoots towards the Raikage, disrupting, and cancelling the Lightning Release Chakra Mode. Naruto then dispels the Shadow Clones.

The Raikage then jumps high into the air, and then falls towards Naruto. He then extends his legs, which are aimed at Naruto, and yells, "Doroppu Kikku (Drop Kick)!"

As the Raikage is falling towards Naruto, he disappears in a Yellow Flash, and reappears behind him. When the Raikage lands on the ground, Naruto, who is still in the air, unsheathes his sword, and channels Fire Chakra through it. Naruto then slashes at the Raikage, and in a quick succession, five large arcs of fire shoot at him. The blonde yells, "Kumo-Ryū Kaengiri (Cloud-Style Flame Beheading)!"

Lightning then covers the Raikage's body. He yells, "Raiton Chakura Mōdo (Lightning Release Chakra Mode)!" The Raikage quickly dodges all of the fire arcs.

when Naruto lands, the Raikage rushes towards the Uzumaki. As the Raikage gets close, he goes to punch Naruto. The Raikage then yells, "Raitoningu Sutorēto (Lightning Straight)!"

Naruto just simply disappears in a Yellow Flash. The Uzumaki then reappears behind the Raikage, and asks, "Raikage-jiji, you know I can do this all day, right?"

The Raikage growls, and spins around, attempting a chop. He yells, "Raigyaku Suihei (Lightning Oppression Horizontal)!" To the Raikage's horror, Naruto again disappears in a Yellow Flash.

This goes on for a couple more hours, more like five hours. The Raikage attacks, and Naruto disappearing in a Yellow Flash. So the Raikage deactivate the Lightning Release Chakra Mode, and yell, "FINE YOU WIN! I QUIT! KUMO GENIN ARE ALLOWED TO GO TO THE CHUNIN EXAMS IN KONOHA! ARE YOU HAPPY NOW!? I SHOULD HAVE NEVER MADE YOU LEARN THAT INSUFFERABLE JUTSU!"

Naruto just smiles, and jumps into hug the Raikage. He says, "Thank you Raikage-jiji. You will never forget the day you almost beat the Naruto Uzumaki!" The blonde then disappears in a Yellow Flash to god knows wear, but it's very likely that he disappeared to his apartment.

Darui says, "Naruto wins both, the spar, and the deal, all due to a forfeit. That's dull!"

The Raikage yells, "SHUT UP, DARUI! Team Darui, and I will be going to Konoha in a week!"

Darui just nods, and goes to get Naruto, and do the D-Rank missions.

A week later, the Raikage, Darui, Pakura, and Naruto leave Kumo for the Chunin Exams in Konoha. They arrived a week later, in front of the "Eternal Gate Guards" Izumo Kamizuki, and Kotetsu Hagane.

Izumo is never seen without his partner, and best friend Kotetsu Hagane. He is characterised as being the more responsible, mature and serious of the two. This is seen when he angrily burst into the Jōnin Standby Station's lounge to drag his partner back to work.

Izumo is also noted to be a germaphobe, and as such, pays excessive attention to cleanliness. This, however, doesn't seem to affect his duties as a shinobi very much.

Izumo has brown hair, and dark eyes. His hair is combed down and always covers his right eye. He wears his hitai-ate like a bandanna along with the standard Konoha shinobi outfit which goes all the way up to his chin, and a flak jacket.

Kotetsu is never seen without his partner and best friend Izumo, whom he trusts explicitly in and out of combat. He is characterised as being the more carefree and irresponsible of the duo, more willing to shirk his duties to hang out in the Jōnin Standby Station eating syrup, for example. He is also described as having an intrepid personality, as well as being curious by nature, which was seen from the time he and Izumo disguised themselves as Genin in order to see what type of people the new chūnin candidates were. Despite this, Kotetsu is a loyal and dutiful shinobi, with great love for his village and will carry out his missions despite complaining when they are trivial. Kotetsu was also noted to have great respect for Asuma Sarutobi who established a great record in military prowess.

Kotetsu has long, spiky, black hair and dark eyes. He has a strip of bandage running across the bridge of his nose and a light-coloured marking on his chin, although it has the same colour as his hair in the anime. He wears the standard attire of a Konoha shinobi complete with a hitai-ate and a flak jacket. When deployed on missions, he usually carries a pair of bladed weapons strapped to his back.

Izumo asks, "Halt! Who are you, and why are you here?"

The Raikage answers, "I am the Raikage, A, and these three over there is Team Darui, which includes Darui as the Jounin Leader, and Naruto, and Pakura Uzumaki as the Genin. They are here to participate in the Chunin Selection Exams."

Izumo nods, but says, "You are a little early, but we can let you enter. Where are your guy's entrance slips?"

The Raikage hands over four entrance slips, and hand them to Izumo, who hands them to Kotetsu, who stamps them. After gaining the approval stamp, Kotetsu hands them back to Izumo, who hands them back to the Raikage. Izumo then says, "Enjoy your stay here in Konohagakure no Sato."

The Raikage, and Team Darui then enter Konoha. As they pass through the gate, Kotetsu asks, "Wait... Did Raikage-sama say Naruto Uzumaki?"

Izumo looks shockingly at Kotetsu, and answers, "I... Guess he did Kotetsu. I guess he did. Let's inform Hokage-sama!"

So that is exactly what they do, and a group of four ANBU members appear around the Raikage, and Team Darui. One steps up, and says, "Hello Raikage-same, Naruto-sama! Hokage-sama would like to meet you all. Naruto-sama, I suppose you still remember the way to the tower, right?"

Naruto just nods, and says, "Yes I do ANBU-san. You can report back to Sarutobi-jiji." He continued to walk to the Hokage Tower, with the Raikage, and the rest of Team Darui following them.

An hour later, the Raikage, and Team Darui is in front of the door to the Hokage's office. The Raikage then knocks on the door, and opens it, when he hears the Hokage respond, "Come in."

The Raikage, and Team Darui enters the office. The Hokage's office is a large, somewhat oval room usually filled with stacks of unfinished paperwork. Behind the Hokage's desk is a large window through which the Hokage can survey the entire village. On the desk itself is a stylised kanji for shadow (影) followed by the symbol of the village.

The Hokage then looks up, and says, "Raikage-dono, who was your travels here? Pleasant, I hope."

The Raikage replies, "The triphere was fine, Hokage-dono."

The hokage says, "I probably wouldn't be able to handle a trip to Kumo, you know the cold weather on old, and brittle bones like mine."

Naruto then says, "Sarutobi-jiji, your only old enough to give Konohamaru your hat."

The Hokage chuckles, but responds, "Naruto-kun, I have a couple years before Konohamru-chan gets my hat. So how are you my boy?"

Naruto answers, "I'm fine. Oh... Did you know I recently beat Raikage-jiji in a spar?"

The Hokage raises his eyebrow, but says, "You must be very strong then. If you were still a Konoha Shinobi then you'd be a candidate to be Hokage."

The Raikage says, "It was on a technicality. Plus if the boy didn't have that infernal Hiraishin no Jutsu (Flying Thunder God Technique)!"

Naruto smugly smiles, and was about to say something, but gets hit by Pakura. The blonde asks, "Pakura-chan, why'd you do that for?"

Pakura answers, "Don't make fun of Raikage-sama, you already call him an old man every time you see him. He doesn't need anything else."

Naruto replies, "Okay Pakura-chan."

The Hokage aks, "So Naruto-kun, you finally learned your Tou-san's Jutsu?"

Naruto answers, "Of course I did, Sarutobi-jiji!"

The hokage then sees the lightning tattoo, and sage coat. He asks, "I see you got a tattoo, and a sage coat. When did those two things happen?"

Naruto answers, "This tattoo is held in high respect in Kumo. It means that I have mastered the Sandaime Raikage's Kuroi Kaminari (Black Lightning). Then a month before, I got the sage coat after becoming a "Perfect Sage" with a week of training."

The Hokage asks, "How could one learn such a jutsu like Kuroi Kaminari like that in a month?"

Naruto sagely answers, "Kage Bunshin no Jutsu (Shadow Clone Technique). The jutsu is a miracle, if you ask me. Helps with training, espionage, being lonely, cleaning, cooking, and pranks."

The Hokage replies, "And, only you could use that jutsu the way you use it. Anyway, Naruto, who's the beauty next you?"

Naruto answers, "Sarutobi-jiji, you need to lay off of the Icha Icha, but I agree with you. She is a beautiful woman. Her name is Pakura Uzumaki. We met soon after I was "Banished". We just started going out."

The Hokage nodded, and says, "I heard. Anyway, she must be one lucky girl to have you by her side."

Pakura blushes a bit, but asks, "So, Hokage-sama, what were you to Naruto-kun?"

The Hokage answers, "Pakura-chan, you don't have to be formal with me. Jiji will do just fine, in all truth, I am one. Naruto is like a grandson to me, just like Konohamaru is my actual grandson. So don't worry Pakura-chan, I never hurt your Naruto-kun."

Naruto then says, "Sarutobi-jiji, do not hurt my Pakura-chan. You may be my Sofu (Grandfather), but that doesn't mean shit, when Pakura-chan is involved."

The Hokage put his hands up in surrender, and says, "Well, with all the pleasantries out of the way. I have put you all in the grandest of hotels in Konoha, the Namikaze Resort and Spa. It's not owned by Minato-kun, but it was named in his honor. Their is a wing in the hotel, just for Minato, his family, or anyone just as important, like another Kage. Here is the reservations. Just hand the receptionist these slips, and she'll hand you the keys to the Namikaze Wing. Have a good rest of the day."

After getting the reservations, they turn to leave the office, only for the door to slam open. An eight year old kid then rushes through the door, but slips. This kid is Konohamaru. The Hokage just sighs, and whispers, "This such a bad time for this to happen."

Konohamaru initially finds a certain enjoyment in his status as the Hokage's grandson: he is often spared from being punished for his actions and will goad people who are unwilling to take a hand against him. Like Naruto, Konohamaru tends to be loud, headstrong, and spends an inordinate amount of time inventing perverted Ninjutsu. Sometimes, Konohamaru even calls him "boss" (オヤブン) and "big brother" (兄ちゃん). With Naruto gone, Konohamaru slipped back into the ways of "attempting" to "assassinate" his grandfather.

Konohamaru wears grey shorts and a yellow shirt with a red Konoha symbol printed on it. He also wears a pair of green goggles, long blue scarf, and shinobi sandals.

Naruto then firms his voice, and says, "Konohamaru!"

Konohamaru looks up at the blonde, and yells, "BOSS! Your back! How? I thought you were banished..." The boy then sees the Kumo hitai-ate, and stops talking.

Naruto sees this, and goes done to Konohamaru's height. He places his hand on his shoulder, and says, "Konohamaru, I thought you promised not to do this, and in front of another Kage too. I thought I taught you better than that."

Konohamaru says, "You did teach me, though."

Naruto replies, "I guess not enough then."

Konohamaru says, "Well, you left me! The only person who saw me for me! Not the Hokage's grandson! You taught me the first Jutsu you ever created! Taught me that their are no shortcuts to the hat, and life! I took those lessons to heart, but you left, Boss! I didn't learn enough from you!"

Naruto replies, "Konohamaru, you learned just enough from me. I wanted to teach you more, too. I wanted Sarutobi-jiji's hat! But life is always the way we want it to be. So, we as a people have to change to continue living, or life won't let us live for very long. Konohamaru, do you understand?"

Konohamaru, with a smile on his face answers, "I think I do, Boss!"

Naruto then smiles, and says, "Now run off, Konohamaru. Play with your friends, train. Maybe later, I can teach you a Jutsu, have a spar, or I could show you some fancy "Ninja moves". How about it?"

Konohamaru laughs, and asks, "Boss? "Ninja moves"? How young do you think I am?"

Naruto, playfully takes a really long time to think, and answers, "Oh... I don't know. Maybe five?"

Konohamaru is in shock, as he yells, "Boss, I'm eight. EIGHT!"

Naruto in fake shock says, "Eight already? You must be getting all of the girls."

Konohamaru ignores Naruto, but asks, "Boss is that your girlfriend?"

Naruto answers, "She is my girlfriend, Konohamaru! Her name is Pakura Uzumaki. Pakura is a former Suna kunoichi."

Konohamaru says, "She's pretty, Boss!"

Pakura replies, "Thank you, Konohamaru-chan. Just for that I'll give you a surprise!" And so, Pakura bends down, and gives Konohamaru a peck on the cheek.\

Naruto, a little jealous asks, "What about me?"

Pakura, playfully answers, "You'll get kisses later, okay? I'd prefer it to be more private."

The Raikage then yells, "Aian Kurō (Iron Claw)!" The Kage then grabs their faces, squeezes them. He then lifts them up, and walks out of the office.

Meanwhile, Konohamaru asks, "Jiji, what jutsu do you think that Boss will teach me?"

The Hokage answers, "I don't know. I just don't know, Konohamaru-chan, but let's go have some ramen, ne?"

Then Konohamaru rushes to the Hokage, and pulls him away from the desk. Just like Naruto, Konohamaru also though thought ramen is the food of the gods, and you couldn't tell him otherwise.
