Arjun's pov 

Mom would need me . I have to leave . I came out of my thoughts and looked at my friends who were starring at me confusedly. They probably want answers . They attempted to ask me . But I cut them off saying " I know there will be million questions lingering inside you right now . Ellame answer pannuven , just give me sometime ."  They nodded affirmatively. I opened my laptop and checked out the flights leaving for Chennai . The soonest one was at 2 . That was all they had so I booked a ticket . Now the time is 10:05 so it will be perfect .

I came into the living room Pranav and Satish were discussing something with confused looks . I looked at them and said " en kooda vaanga" walking out of the house . They nodded and followed me . We went downstairs and sat in the car . I started it and drove it to Susha's place .

 She was waiting for me as we decided yeasterday . She sat in the car with an excited smile. But it vanished as soon as she saw my tear strained face . She attempted to ask me the details but stopped herself realising I wasn't going to answer any of the hem now . She looked at my friends with an uncertain smile. They smiled at her.

 I drove the car to a cherry garden . It wasn't very populated . We parked the car and walked into the garden . I asked them to sit on a bench and sighed . Then I started " en life oda biggest secret ah naan ippo unga kooda share pannaporen ," I took a deep breath and said "I am sanjay Swaminathan's son ."

They all yelled a shocked and loud what!!!! I nodded and signaled them to be silent. " Yeah , I  am Sanjay Swaminathan the CEO of Croftcorp's only son but chinna vayasula irundhe appa Amma va pirinchi dhaan irundhen." They were  listening keenly with a  big question mark expression on their faces .

 "When I was 7 I met with an accident, but came out without any major issues . But in the same year I met with two more accidents . The latter one was major . My dad became suspicious of someone attacking me on purpose . So he held out an secret investigation and the reports were positive . So for my safety and the company's future , he announced to the world that I died in the accident and sent me off to London with my uncle ." I said briefly explaining  my past to them .

"The only people who knew about my existence aftermath were the doctor, my uncle , Amma and appa . Aana five years munnadi oru attack la uncle erandhutaaru , so London la irundhu Paris ku shift ayiten . Appo kooda naan en parents ah paakala." I said with glassy eyes looking down at the ground .

"I was living as a secret all these years . Everything about me ........, my calls ,.... transactions,........ degrees,......photos ,.......certificates infact my very existence was a secret .Aana ...... idhu ennakku eppovume oru problem ah thonala , the biggest worry I ever had .......was....... not being able to see my parents . Enadha irundhalum ......  phone la pesuradhukku , photo la pakuradhuku .......nerla paathi  pesuradhukku ......oru  vithyasam irukkum la ." He said with pauses in between with broken voice . 

"Innum konjam maasathula enna amma appa va paakanum nu nenachen , but adhu kullaye......."  I said with tears welling up in his eyes, Susha and others looked at me worriedly . "Inime ennakku en amma mattum dhaan irukka , appa illadha indha samayathulla naan ava pakkam illena naan oruthan irundhu enna prayojanam ?" I said with a stern voice. "Adhukku dhaan naan innaiku India kelambi poren."  I said letting out a sigh . 

"Naangalum unga kooda varuvom " Susha said earning a nod from Satish and Pranav . I smiled sadly and said "venam ." " Yean da ?" Satish asked with concern . "Ippo venam nu solren la" I said in a angry tone . "Dei , ipdi patta oru time la unnakkum engaloda support theva padum da , naagalum unkooda varuvom ." Pranav said with pleading eyes . "Anga ennakaaga enna waiting la irukku nu ennake theriyala , ippo venam aprom naane kupduren " I said pleading them ."But" Susha attempted to speak but I cut her off saying "please , don't push me now" in a stern tone . They  nodded hesitantly . 

Time skip 4 hours 

Arjun's  pov

I was about to board the plane , Susha and my two friends came to see me off .  Pranav and Sathish were talking to me continuously when  Susha tookme  to a side and pecked a kiss on my forehead I smiled and kissed her too . "Ellarum venam atleast naan aavadhu varuvean" she asked with pleading eyes . They melted me, I would have agreed if it was about some other thing at some other time . But now NO , so although it was difficult I said " please , ippo enna pressurise pannadha ,I can't take you" in a stern tone . 

She hung her head in disappointment , it hurt me too but there was no other way . I pecked a kiss on her cheek , she smiled at me and said " Enaala unna avlo naal pirinji irukka mudiyadhu" in a childish tone. "Ennala mattum mudiyama enna ? Seeikram vandhuren baby " I said with a smile. Having Susha with me was my biggest  fortune she made me forget all my worries . I smiled at her and then came announcement that separated us . I had to board the flight . I waved goodbye with a sad smile at Susha , Satish and Pranav who were waving at me with  eyes filled with concern and worry .

Normal Pov 

In the plane 

 All the while in the plane he was thinking about his mother .He was looking at the sky hopelessly with glassy eyes . Although , the journey was of 10 hours it seemed as if it was forever . He landed in Chennai at midnight , by the time he reached home it was 3 .

 He stopped in front of the gate looking at his house , it hadn't changed much .He became nostalgic and drowned in thoughts when the watchman interrupted him asking him who he was. He smiled to himself and answered him saying that he was their relative . The watchman looked convinced and allowed him inside . He walked in to the house.The huge living room a bit dark now had a was a huge photograph of his dad hanging on the wall with his image reflecting on it . His mother was lying asleep below it . 

Arjun : Amma (in a low and sad tone )

His mom woke up and looked at him sadly .

Amma : Arjun ( surprised )

It didn't have the normal charm or energy it had before . Tears trailed down her cheeks while she looked at him . Arjun started tearing too and bent down before his mother . He held her hands and buried his face in them . She lifted his face up and caressed his hair and cheeks . He looked at his dad's photo and looked at his mom . 

Arjun : Yean ma? why so soon ? Konjam varusham...... atleast ennakaaga wait pannirukanum la? (with broken voice )

Amma : Destiny ah change panradhu yaaralayum mudiyadhu Arjun . All we can do is face it . 

She said hiding her own sorrow and trying to comfort him . She made him lie down in her lap while he was crying heavily . 

Amma : Ippo dhaane vandha ?

Arjun : Aama .  Aana epdi aachu ma ? ( he said in a shocked tone ) 

Amma : Priya oda meeting la..... (her tears block her throat ) andha meeting la ......he accidentally choked to death . ( in a heavy voice )

She started to tear after ending the sentence . Arjun tried to console her despite he himself was crying . 

Arjun : Appa ippo enga irukaaru ?

Amma : Switzerland embassy la...... naalaiku dhaan Preetam and Rahul India ku kootitu varuvaanga . Kaaryam ellame Preetam and Prakash dhaan pannuvaanga . Nee andha pakkam kooda varakoodadhu .( she said controlling her tears )

Arjun : Naan varama epdi ma , appa va oru last time aachum paaka vendama ?( in a shocked tone) 

Amma : Please  Arjun ( in a pleading tone )

Her eyes showed that she was hurt doing that too .

Amma : Ennaku ippo irukadhu nee mattum dhaan unnakkum edhavadhu aachu na ennala mudiyadhu Arjun . Naan unna ennoda magan ah ,Croftcorp oda CEO ah , Sanjay oda succesor ah announce panra varaikum nee inga irukiradhu enna thavara  yaarukkum theriyakoodadhu . 

Arjun nodded . What else could he do ? He had no choice .

 The formalities after Sanjay's death were done by Lakshmi and his three partners Priya , Preetam and Prakash  . Not only Croftcorp but whole world was shocked by his death . The stockmarket was shook . Arjun was not noticed by anyone as he was living in an unknown farmhouse without anyone spying on him . 

Time skip 3 days 

In Croftcorp's  head office   

In board room

Sanjay's partners , few shareholders and few CEO's of the entities owned by the Croftcorp  group  precisely the board members of the Croftcorp group of companies were holding a meeting .  

One of the board members : Sir , the investors , shareholders and the employees are in a dilemma . We need to elect a new CEO .

Priya : That's true !!!! Aana suddenly CEO ah announce pannum na adhukku oru worthy candidate kedaikanume ?

 Another board member : Neenga moonu per la yaaravadhu irundha better nu ellarume nenaikuraanga .

Preetam : What nonsense ? Adhu amma kai la illa . Lakshmi kaila irukku .

Another board member : Aana  Ava  epdi ?

Priya : Ava illa avanga , Yen na she holds and leads 60% of the shares in the company . You better show her some respect .

Another board member : Appo avanga  fast ah decide panna sollunga .

Prakash :  Sanjay erandhu oru vaaram kooda aagala ippove ivlo intolerant ah irundha epdi ? (angrily )

Preetam : He is right . Give her some time . 

Another board member : But ..

He was cut off by Lakshmi entering the board room . Seeing her everyone stood up and became silent .

Lakshmi : Good Morning Everyone !!!! Inga edho important discussion nadakura maadhiri theriyudhu . 

One of the board member : Mam we need a CEO .

Lakshmi : Why ?

Another board member : CEO illana financial structure collapse aagidum .

Lakshmi : Oru company na enna nu nenaikureenga , it's not just a place for flow of money . It's the vision of one talent . It's the  dream of hundreds of partners . It's the hard work of thousands of employees . It's the foundation of lakhs of investors . It's the trust of crores of customers .

Everyone in the board were looking at here many in guilt and few in admiration. Her words were being assured by the smiles of the partners trio . 

Lakshmi : Finally it's a empire whose emperor is not born but raised and then elected ..... I have   raised an emperor for you .

Everyone looked in shock at her . She ignored all the stares and continued

Lakshmi : Dear Board members , I present you Sanjay's succesor , future of Croft corp , the CEO , our son Arjun Swaminathan .

The doors were wide open and Arjun walked in with complete silence receiving shocked stares and confused welcomes by all the standing board members .
