Lakshmi's pov 

This rascal just fell asleep in my arms . He would do the same thing when he was a baby . He would talk and play with me in my lap and then suddenly fall asleep . I smiled at him and carried him to my bedroom . I laid him on my bed and spread the bed sheet . He comforted himself in his sleep which made me chuckle unknowingly .

 I sat beside him on the bed and caressed his hair . He unknowingly smiled in his sleep . More or less it reminded me of Sanjay . My eyes became glassy and hot tears trickled down my cheek . One of them managed to fall on my boy's cheek . He slightly frowned . I wiped it off with a smile . He grinned in his sleep . 

Seeing him asleep like this , I realized that he has grown a lot but was still my baby . Deep inside he hasn't changed a bit . I kissed him on his forehead and left the room silently . Leaving him to enjoy his sleep . 

I came out and sat down on the couch . I looked around the room and my gaze finally stopped when it fell on a particular wall filled with pictures . It was filled with memories which made me smile with pain .

 There were many pictures of mine and Sanjay . We were having such a good time . There was one picture which had us as a family ... me and Sanjay kissing Arjun . He wore such a cute smile that it still melted my heart . Below that was another picture of Arjun , he was sitting in the jeep and posing as if he was driving it . 

That picture brought a smile as well as painful memory .

 That was the same day he met with that horrible accident . The doctor's words were still ringing in my ears . " Your son might not make it !!!! He has a 50-50 chance of surviving ." These were the words I had to listen when my son was lying on the hospital bed in coma . For a good few days he just lied there asleep . When he finally woke up and shot his smile at me . 

Sanjay had decided to hide him away from the world . All these years I had to pretend he was dead . I alone know what a pain and burden it was .The thought of going through that alone gave me immense pain .

 That pain brought me fear .... fear of losing him . Calling him was daily routine ... but still the excitement I would have when he picks up the call would equal the excitement a young boy has when he is waiting for his birthday . Even if he missed a single day ... I would get tensed .... what else could I do ? But now it was all over , my boy was with me safe and happy .

Later that day 

Arjun's pov 

I woke up and had a long stretch . I looked around ..... wait amma's room ?!  How did I get here ??? Whatever !!! I came out and sat in the hall . I reached out to my pocket for my phone . It was not there . What !!!! I got up to search for it . Suddenly it rang . " Perfect timing " I said to myself and went to grab it . The call was from Sathish . I picked it up .... 

Sathish : Macha .... Chennai la land aagitom . 

Arjun : Ivlo seeikram ah va ??? 

Sathish : Seeikram ahm !!! Dei flight 1 hour late aachu da .

Arjun : Aama aama ( looking at the wall clock ) aprom ... 

Sathish : Nee onnum solladha  naanga varom aprom pesikalaam .... 

Arjun : Adei , anga irukura moonu perla yaarukavadhu en veetoda address theriyuma ??? 

Sathish : Yean macha ??? Unnakku theriyadha !!! 

Arjun : Ada mutta punnagaye address theriyama epdi da varuva ??? (face palming himself )

Sathish : Hehe tension la confuse ayiten ... 

Arjun : Ahaan !!! Phone Pranav ku kudu .

Pranav : Hi da !!! Sollu ... 

Arjun : Address note panniko ... 

I gave him the address and he noted it down . 

Arjun : Aprom epdi varuvaanga ? 

Pranav : Adhu naan already arrange panniten da !!! 

Arjun : Oh !! Seri pakkathula Susha iruka ?? 

Pranav : Yean romance pannanum nu aasaiya irukka ? 

Arjun : Dei .... 

Pranav : Avalum inga aasaiya paarthutu irukka ... Idha kudukuren .

Saying that he handed over the phone to her ... 

Arjun : Hey Chellam ... 

Susha : Hi darling .... epdi irukka ? 

Arjun : Fine thaan ... Nee ? Journey laam nalla irundhucha ??? 

Susha : Edho oru maadhiri irundhuchu ( sadly )

Arjun : Yean baby ipdi sollita ?? Avanga nalla paakalya ? 

Susha : Romba nalla dhaan paathanga ... aana 

Arjun : Aana ? 

Susha : Aana nee illaye ... 

Arjun : Aww enna romba miss panniya ? 

Susha : Rombaaa .... but nee enna miss pannave illa la !!! 

Arjun : Yaaru sonna ??? Ovvoru nimisham un patthi dhaan nenachittu iruken !!! 

Susha : Ahaan ... 

Arjun : Sathiyama !!! 

She laughed at the way I said  "Sathiyamah " ... I smiled ... 

Arjun : Hey oru kiss kudukuriya ??? 

Susha : Kiss ah ?? Public la iruken .. 

Arjun : Papa ... phone la thaane ... 

Susha : Annalum ... mudiyathu ... 

Arjun : Ennama neenga ipdi panreegale ma ? 

Susha : Ahaan ipdi ketta kudukovoma ??? 

Arjun : Nalla romnatic la iruken ... 

Susha : Veetuku varuven la appo panlaam ... 

Arjun : Seri ( with a disappointed sigh ) 

Susha : Idhu nalla pulla lakshanam !!! Bye 

She cut the call . I smiled and hit my forehead with my mobile .

Time skip 2 hours

Normal POV 

Arjun was in his cabin when suddenly his cabin phone line rang . He was informed through it that officer Dhruva was waiting to meet him . He asked the receptionist to send him to his cabin and smirked . Dhruva entered and greeted him , Arjun stood up and greeted him too . 

Dhruva : Ivlo seeikram thirumbi meet pannuvom nu naan nenaichadhe illa . 

Arjun : Neenga nenachadha vishayam innum nariya nadaka poguthu . 

Dhruva half smiled . 

Arjun : Neenga yendha vishayathula vandheenga nu ennakku aana en kitta yean vandheenga nu theriya maatingudhu ? 

Dhruva : Oru aal murder aana avanukku sambatha patta ella vishayumum naanga visarippom . Ippo andha aal oda boss aanadhu naala unga visarichuttu iruken . 

Arjun did an Oh gesture and made his look keen . 

Arjun : Neenga Ramakrishnan  patthi dhaan pesuraanga nu puriyudhu .... unfortunately ennakku avar pathi onnume theriyadhu . 

Dhruva : Theriyadha ? ( suspiciously ) 

Arjun : Ennakku avaroda pazhakkam illa ... infact company ku smabadha patta formalities ellam Prakash uncle dhaan paakuraanga .... 

Dhruva : Oh !!! Avar pathi theriyadhu ... Murder pathi ??? 

Arjun : Theriyadhu ( Frimly ) 

Dhruva : Ok !!! Seri thanks for cooperating . 

Arjun got up . Dhruva extended his hand for a hand shake . Arjun took it and they both shook hands . Dhruva smiled a wide and accomplishing smile looking at their hands . 

Dhruva : Ippo naan poren aana kandippa thirumbi varuven ... Mr Arjun Swaminthan . 

Arjun smiled a swift and fake smile and closed opened the door . After Dhruva left , he closed the door and walked to his chair . He smirked angrily and sat down . 

Arjun : Dhruva IPS ... You are smart enough to win but I am too smart to lose .
