The Montauk Project conspiracy

This conspiracy is fallout from the Philadelphia Experiment, which I've already discussed. The theory goes that a group of scientists in a secrete location in Montauk, New York, were working on technology that they obtained from extraterrestrials from Orion and Sirius A.

The location for this was Camp Hero, which is the Montauk Air Force base on Montauk, Long Island. The reason why it's a big secret is because it involved mind control and psychological warfare. The project was exploited by the UFO community and was revealed by Preston Nichol, who claims that he was experimented on and had repressed memories. Of course he wrote books about the incident. He claims that the government was experimenting on time travel, teleportation, mind control and contact with aliens. These are similar to the claims about the Philadelphia Experiment.

They even made a movie about this theory in 2015 called 'Montauk Chronicles' that featured Preston Nichols. Supposedly it chronicles Nichols' experience at Montauk. Nichols also published a book on the subject: 'The Montauk Project: Experiments in Time', in which he claims that the project is a continuation of the Philadelphia Experiment. Supposedly, a large radar dish was installed there at a decommissioned base, rendering it less noticeable to the public.

The theory relates that the project was installed in an underground bunker in as many as 12 levels and involved hundreds of researchers. They created a time portal that travel in time and space. During these travels they made contact with extraterrestrials and obtained advanced technology from them. Ultimately, an alien monster traveled through the time portal and devoured the researchers, after which the creature was destroyed and the time portal deactivated.

Allegedly, the project interlocked with the original Rainbow Project and the USS Eldridge was drawn into hyperspace and trapped there. Researchers managed to travel to the Eldridge and deactivate the generators so that it returned to the Philadelphia Naval Yard in 1943.

As in most theories like this, there is nothing left of it to investigate. Supposedly, Nikola Tesla was the chief director of the base. That would have required him to not die when he did. There are lots of other crazy claims for this base. One is that a hole to Earth's core is hidden there. Also, flying saucers were developed there. The Internet and AIDS were created there. That's nuts!
