Moon Camp

This conspiracy is based on both Apollo 8 and Apollo 11 sightings of strange things on the moon. Allegedly, Back in December of 1968, Apollo 8 astronauts, Frank Borman, James Lovell, and William Andes, photographed a large triangular object on the moon. Also, they supposedly saw smoke coming from what they said looked like campfires on the far side of the moon. This was not photographed. Apollo 11 astronauts photographed something similar.
Recall that Apollo 8 mission only orbited the moon while Apollo 11 astronauts landed on the moon.

There have been all sorts of conspiracies about the far side of the moon, which is the side we can't see from Earth. Supposedly, NASA constructed a military base there and sent astronauts to man it.

I read the entire Apollo 8 transcripts and didn't find anything that indicated the astronauts saw campfires. Of course, there is the possibility that NASA censored this from the transcripts.
First of all, there is no way that what they saw was a campfire. Since the moon has no atmosphere, there would be no oxygen to supply it. The best explanation is that these are the results of water venting. It appears that the moon is still geologically active and there have been other sightings of venting from old fissures.

As for the triangular object, the photo looks fake. It's way too large to be even a UFO, unless aliens are making their vessels as large as the state of Texas. It definitely isn't a man made object.

The other thing that gets me is the fact that some conspiracies say that the moon landing was a fake while others use it as proof that aliens have visited us in UFO's. They can't have it both ways.

Seeing UFO's in photographs has been going on for some time now. It's almost as popular as seeing images of Jesus in orange peels or whatever. Many astronauts reported seeing flashing lights. These have been proven to be cosmic rays.
