Falcon 9 Conspiracy

Recently, Space-X's Falcon 9 rocket exploded while on the launch pad. The conspiracy here is that a slow motion video of the explosion shows some sort of tiny object flying over the rocket just before it exploded. Of course, the conspiracy theorists jumped on this and said that it was a UFO that zapped the rocket using a laser device.

Keep in mind that this same type of rocket exploded while landing in January of this year, 2016.

The explosion took place during preparations for what is called a 'stick fire test', basically a test firing of the main rocket engine. The bad news is it took 200 million dollar AMOS-6 satellite payload with it. The rocket is worth 60 million.

At this point, the cause of the accident is unknown. The June Falcon 9 explosion was caused by a failure of the steel strut in the rocket's upper stage.

Mark Zuckerberg, Facebook's founder, has investment in Space-X, along with the founder, Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla Motors.

I watched the YouTube video  and came to the conclusion that it would be very difficult to attribute the accident to a UFO. Although the object moves very fast across the image plane, it's tiny and there is no evidence of any contact with the rocket or a beam hitting the rocket. It's difficult to determine what it is. If it was a UFO, it was not very impressive one.

I say we kick these damn aliens in the butt! We want our money back!
