Chapter Three

Zuko's POV: hhh

"I cant believe the Avatar escaped. How could I let this happen. I need to find him so I can regain my honor. I need to take him back to my father." Zuko ranted to his Uncle. He had forgotten he still had Makika. on board. "I need to see my sister again. I bet she is worried sick. I cant send a message to her, it would be intercepted quickly." Zuko pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Prince Zuko, you should relax and come have a cup of tea. It will calm you down. You shouldn't stress over the Avatar. If you don't capture him, it wasn't meant to be. How about you take a cup of tea to that gorgeous prisoner of yours." Iroh was acting calm about this which really irritated Zuko. Iroh handed him a cup of tea and Zuko groaned.

"She isnt even that good looking, Uncle. But fine." He tugged down to Makika's cell. she was waterbending using her fingers only. She hadn't noticed Zuko yet. She made a flower, then a small boat, then what looked to be waves. the way it moved it was memorizing. Her eyes flicked up and she saw Zuko watching the water with amazement. Being shocked and scared, the water fell and she hid her face in her knees. Zuko coughed softly. "My uncle suggested I bring you a cup of tea. I don't know why but I figured I should do so."

Makika looked up and hesitantly took the cup. "What did you do to it? What type of poison is in this." She glared at him as she smelled it. She took a tiny sip and her eyes widen. "Did you make this?" She asked in awe.

"Uh, no. Uncle Iroh did." Zuko sighed. "Enjoy." He then walked up to the deck. he sighed gently and leaned on the rail as he watched the water.

Katara's POV:

How Aang escaped, Katara didn't know. Makika is still with Zuko but Aang claimed she helped him escape and distracted Zuko while they got away. Makika must be going through torture by that guy. Katara was worried about her. She helped them and they couldn't even rescue her once. Sokka didnt seem to care. To him, it was just another girl with magic. Who cares. Aang is focused on finding he temple, meeting his friends. Everyone knows the Air Nomads are all dead. All the Flying Bison are dead. Aang and Appa are the only left of their kind. If only there were more Airbenders.

"Katara? Where do you think we should go to the North Pole?" Aang was asking her. Katara had a deep feeling in her gut it was dangerous.

"I don't think we should go without Makika. She is the Chief's daughter and he might get mad for us not having her with us or not knowing if she is safe or not." Katara was still worried.  She also didn't know the way. Makika would be able to help them get there.

"Look, Katara. We cant help her now. That crazy guy is on our tail and we cant let him capture Aang. Aang is more important than any water bending girl right now. I think we should land and rest. We need it." Sokka was being serious for once. He didn't trust Aang or Makika.

"Ok. Appa needs a rest, right buddy." Aang smiled as he steered the bison down to land. Katara still seemed stressed. The fact that Sokka doesn't trust Aang or Makika angers her. She sighed and stared at the trees around the clearing.
