"Bride and Groom"

A Happy Time is so strange, it makes you forget the Bad Time and Bad Things to follow next around you.!

At The Singha Territory

The Prides members were elated to arrange for the Grand Royal wedding. The entire jungle Valley seemed to be in a celebration mood.
Since for Humans, a wedding with rituals is the most crucial events in the life of every mother, father, daughter, son, brother or sister etc, The Royal Singha queen, Lakshmi Vijay Singhal made sure that this wedding is a grand occasion, very colorful and very lavish just like how it is with the humans, with a lot of pomp and show and everyone related to both the sides were invited. She did not want Roshni to feel deprived of a motherly love.

The festivities of the Wedding had already begun since the time Vijay had agreed for the Wedding. The entire Singha Castle was submerged in festivities and celebrations all around, creating an aura of joy and excitement.
Many special artists were called in to perform Folk music and dance and other folk crafts to keep the celebration mood intact.

Prides members along with the warriors were asked to participate in activities.
Royal Feasts were organised for all.

The Purohits had shifted in one of the spare houses in the jungle itself since they could not go back to their original home, back in Malana.
They definitely missed their ancestral home but it was too risky to go there, so they never tried to pursue the Singhas for it.
Roshni's family was instead over whelmed by receiving so much respect from the Singhas. Especially, Grandma was excited to re-unite with some of her old Singha friends.
Aadarsh and Adikrit made sure that everything was organised in the perfect ways possible. The duo showered their baby sister with everything they had.

However, Adhikshit was annoyed when he came to know that Aadarsh wanted to move out of the castle till the wedding ceremony started.
Since, it was part of the human rituals that Bride and Groom can not meet or see each other before the wedding day, Lakshmi and Vijay agreed to his condition, not paying much attention to Adhikshit's resistance.!

Adhikshit talked to Roshni about it but he was sent empty handed. She had said that she wanted to follow all rituals properly and finally he had to agree.

But what she did not know was that her restless mate secretly watched her every night, climbing upto her room whenever she was asleep!

Not matter what, his Singha could not be away from his Mate!

Also there was an unknown, unsettling feeling inside him after Roshni had began to sense the future.
Adhikshit was tensed as Roshni's intuitions were mostly negative.
She once even mentioned that Samar Singh was in some kind of danger.
And that was enough for him to be extra alert around the jungle.
They had tightened the security and he made sure that the borders are sealed properly.
The varification and interview of The new members was also done but they did not find anything suspicious. It looked like their enemy was always one step ahead of them and thus they were still clueless about the Mole and the supporting source behind it.

Samar and Aadarsh took it upon themselves to keep a track on any suspicious activities.
They wanted Adhikshit to enjoy his pre-wedding days just like his family wanted but as usual being the future king, Adhikshit ordered both of them to stay quite.
Despite the protests from Samar and Aadarsh, Adhikshit himself would go for unannounced rounds to check on the security or any signs of any wrongful suspicious entry in their territory or any sudden trespassing.
But the entire troop was clueless about the Traitor.
However the special warriors were asked to be prepared for any situation amongst the ongoing ceremonies.

Days passed quickly than expected and today was the auspicious Wedding Day!

Everyone was engaged in one thing or the other.
Vijay and Lakshmi made sure to keep everything as per the rituals.
And now, today they were ready to officially welcome their first Daughter in Law, their Roshni.

Roshni's pov

Today is the Day!
Today I am going to be officially bound to Adhikshit, as his mate, as his wife, as his Chosen one!
All our waiting is going to end!
And if I believe his words, he has already waited since long and after the rituals, he is going to make me his tonight!
The mare thought of us being together is turning me into a real apple.

If you ask me how am I feeling right now, I would say -
There is a feeling of excitement & joy, unexplained butterflies in my stomach but also a fair share of nervousness, anxiety, crankiness, and fear.

You won't believe me if I said, I am feeling exhausted even before our wedding.
At One hand, I am excited, maybe a little drunk on various emotions but most of all I have a adrenaline rush!
And a Super High!

And the girls surrounding me are not helping.
Every time someone asks me a wedding question or about the after effects or their teasing during this phase, I am finding myself saying -

Ok, whatever, I don't Care!
OR
Its alright, I can handle my Husband!

There is a big smile on my face whenever someone is mentioning Adhikshit and that's how i know that, this is actually happening!
And it's not just today, I felt both nervous and excited leading up to today, Our Big Day, for quite some time.
But if you say that everything is Sunny and bright then no, there are other things too bothering my mind.
Running through my mind, were thoughts about whether everything would go as planned and if everyone was going to accept me on our special day.
Also, there are my vague dreams.
But right now, I am planning to shut down those negative thoughts and meet my soon-to-be Husband with a smiling heart!

I am being taken to the Holy Mandapa by my two brothers and the atmosphere is emotional. As I walk further, I could sense all the eyes are on me and I dared not to look up, I am feeling so nervous despite knowing each one of individuals present here to bless me.

Adikrit bhai tapped me on the shoulder and whispered  me to look ahead.
I looked around to see the crowd and the my eyes settled on Him, for the first time on our wedding day, all the nerves that had gathered dissipated.
He was devilishly Handsome, his face was glowing under beautiful sunrays and I thought to myself -

Here is my best friend, my confidant, my lover, my mate, my chosen one and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.!
He looked so happy to be marrying me and when he forwarded his hand, I had no doubt to be His.!

Because, he is my Solace!
He is my soulmate!
How could I be so lucky?

Indeed I am blessed to be his
"the Chosen One"

Adhikshit's pov

I can not believe today is the Day, I have been waiting for this day like a love sick puppy despite being a mighty Singha!

And why not, I have waited enough for my mate!

But today my beast and I would feast upon my Beauty, my mate, my wife!
These few past days without her made me realise how much deep Roshni had reached into my existence.

She had become the air I needed to breathe!
She is my Everything!

But this took long, in the initial days when I recognised her as my mate, my beast was beyond control.
He wanted to claim her as his as soon as possible. I would run out of the valley to her village and watch her from far.
Then I met her in my human form.
But she was scared of me, then my human side made me realise that I need to give her some time to understand the whole mate concept.
But unfortunately, I took her here, against her wishes and that only added to her fear and confusion.

My beast had to endure initial rejection from her, then I had to fight hard and do a lot to earn her acceptance. Then there was this Aadarsh, that guy also gave me a hard time.
But finally I have the Blessings, to marry the girl of my dreams.!
If you wonder that did I ever imagine this moment then let me tell you all that I have been literally dreaming about Roshni as my bride every single night till now. I don't even know how she is going to look, but I am sure one look from her and she would be the death of me!
And right now my heart is going erratic and now I am eagerly waiting for her.

Woah!
Here comes your Bride, Adhik Singha!
Hold your Breath! - i heard Sumer gushing

I lifted my eyes and my breath hitched and i could not even blink my eyes.....my bride looked ethereal!

I thought I had an image of what she might look like, standing there in her wedding dress, but seeing her smiling in front of me in this moment blew all of my expectations out of the water.
All of the waiting and planning and desire to begin my life with her became real in front of me in the form of this stunning woman I get to call my bride....my Mate!

And Finally I have the confidence that -
The wedding is real!
Our love is real.!
And I am going to marry the love of my life......my Chosen one and nothing could ever feel so right.!

The moment is Magical!

I was beyond elated at her Beauty and Innocence. And I was humbled that this incredible woman, standing in front of me, chose me to spend her life with.!
Roshni is not just my Mate, she is my best friend, my love, my everything.
And She looks absolutely perfect!
I can't believe that she chose ME.!

I must be the luckiest man alive!

At first, I felt pure bliss - Here was my future walking toward me, so bright and beautiful.
I had never felt a high like that before.
No amount of adventure or excitement can match this high.!

Standing on my nervous feet, I forwarded my hand and Roshni placed her palm with a heart warming smile.

I could not thank my stars enough, This outstanding woman was about to become my wife. As I realized my fortune as she approached me, my emotions exploded.
When she was finally with me, hand in hand, I felt peace, I felt like I was at home, she was mine and I was hers.!

Watching Roshni sitting beside me, resulted in a rush of emotions so intense that a few tears began to flow from my eyes.
Every time I had imagined it, I felt the power and emotion of the moment, but nothing could prepare me for the real thing. When I saw my bride sit at the top of the aasana in this mandapa, I was overcome with emotion.
Roshni is looking absolutely stunning in her extravagant bridal dress that is radiating against all the greenery of the venue. I thought about everything we had been through over the time we have been together and how it all led to this moment.!

Soon we were asked to sit in front of each other against holy fire and mantras were chanted!
Our eyes met and time stilled, we both were drowning into each other's soul.
The smile never leaving our faces.
My parents first performed special prayers to our Goddess Parvati to bestow her blessings upon us as a wedded couple and as the future rulers of the valley.

Then, I was asked to follow a certain rituals which I did happily, even though it was all new to me.
I was asked to tie a special "Daampatya Shrinkhlaa" (nuptial chain) around her neck, which symbolised that our bond was for this life and beyond. And it will protect Roshni from any kinds of evil spirits.
Roshni seemed to very carefully listen whatever the priest was saying.

On the other hand, I was overwhelmed with excitement during this private moments of our lives, surrounded by nature and our loved ones. When I turned around and saw how beautiful and happy Roshni looked with the completion of our marriage with all human wedding rituals and her bridal Avataar, I realised that I would have missed all this if we had gone the traditional Singha ways of a Holy union!

She looked satisfied But right now all I feel is just wow!

Now was The most important part of the wedding, that is the taking of vows by the bride and the groom, we were supposed to go around the holy fire seven times, amidst chanting of mantras by the priests, in the presence of the guests who are witnesses of this union.

When the religious ceremony was over, we were finally pronounced Husband and Wife.!
I found Roshni holding my hand in excitement and I could not help but smile at our righteous union. I felt a special kind of inclination towards Roshni.....Probably this was the power of the marriage.!

All the guests and important royals then came turn wise to give their good wishes and wedding gifts to us.
Samar, Aadarsh and Adikrit were constantly watching everywhere to make sure that nothing goes wrong.
And they kept us company.

Suddenly mom came and began to take Roshni away from me and I frowned.

I held her arm and asked impatiently - Where are you taking her mom?

My mom chuckled and replied -
Gosh Adhik!
Have some patience son!
Your bride is not going anywhere, i am just taking her to get settled.

It's time for her Vidaai!
And then she will join us as the Real Family in the castle!

And for a moment I saw Roshni turning gloomy. I felt bad for her but then I know I will erase all her sadness. I vowed to make her happy and never let her miss her family, besides they will be here from now on. So whenever she wants she can visit them.!

I will do everything in my power to keep my Wife happy!

Writer's pov

All the rituals were complete!
Adhikshit and Roshni were married and a lavish feast was going on.
Roshni was taken to her chamber before she officially leaves to meet her new family and Adhikshit, her husband, her mate.!

Lakshmi took her hand in hers and spoke - Roshni, I can understand that this is an emotional moment for you. But be assured that we will never let you feel away from your family.
Remember, You are not leaving your family....you are just coming to a new Family along with your previous people.

And don't worry, my son will never give you a time to think about anything or anyone else apart from him! - she winked playfully at Roshni who tuned red

Now, let's get you ready!

Pointing towards two girls, she said - They will help you with packing your stuff.

And Sugandha and Aloki here have  offered to help you with any last minute fix. And they will keep you company.
So, relax for sometime till you meet your family. And then, we will later take you to the special chamber of our castle.

And there you will meet your Husband!

Roshni nodded at the motherly figure.

A girl came to call Lakshmi and she left giving instructions to the other Girls.

Roshni looked at herself in the mirror and she caressed The nuptial chain and a smile played on her lips.

Day dreaming about my Brother, bhabi? - asked Aloki

And all the girls giggled.

Roshni just shook her head granny smiling at the girls and waited for her brothers and her granny.

The girls in the room were teasing her occassionally and were helping her to get ready for her big night.!

Her jewels and other important things were packed in suitcases and everything was ready to go.

Then walked in Aadarsh and Adikrit along with their gloomy granny.
The old lady looked sad for obvious reasons.

Aloki and Sugandha and other girls left the chamber to give them privacy and some family time.

Roshni smiled at her brothers who sat either side of her.
Aadarsh lovingly patted her head and said - Always be Happy Roshni!

And remember if that Singha troubles you in any way, you know where to come!
I will ready with my strong muscles to teach him a good lesson.!

Next was Adikrit who held roshni's palm in his and said - Hey baby girl!
Congratulations!
Finally you are married!

I know Adhikshit and Aadarsh they both are more powerful than me but remember I am the smartest one here!
So whenever you need to teach your husband a lesson, or whenever you plan to pull a prank on him, just remember me and we will kick his ass real good!

Roshni chuckled at her elder brothers but hiccuped the next second when Aadarsh and Adikrit pulled her in a heart melting hug.

They remained silent that's when her granny spoke - Roshni!
Child, always follow your Heart!
We are here for you till our last breath.

Be a brave heart and serves your people right!
I know you can do this!

And the four of them shedded a few tears and chatted for a while and soon it was time for Roshni's departure.

Aloki and Sugandha walked in and announced their presence.

Suddenly a guard came in and spoke something to Aadarsha and Adikrit and they exchanged a look.
Roshni frowned but Aadarsh patted her head and said -
Keep your things ready Doll!
Time to meet your Husband!

Roshni nodded and both the brothers walked out to accompany her till the Special wing.!

Finally the Time had Come!

Dear Lord!

Happy Times!

Adhikshit and Roshni are finally married.
And they are going to meet each other!

What will happen when they meet???
