"The Crystal Gazer"

Writer's pov

Roshni was getting ready for the event.
She was sitting in her chamber, surrounded by girls.
Some helping her with her hair and make up....some just there to support their future queen....some just..well for Teasing.!

The Lehenga she wore was the weaved with silk and strands of gold and silver.
Little diamonds were placed on the floral motifs all over.
She looked like some fairy from heaven!

Roshni, you are looking so beautiful and not to forget this glow on your face is exceptional!

Roshni turned red remembering her last encounter with Adhikshit!

Flash Back

Adhikshit carried Roshni on his shoulder as if she was like a peacock feather.
Roshni was punching him on his back but the mighty Singha he was, his steps didn't even faltered once!

She whisper yelled -
Let me go....you..bed....You SINGHA MAN!
What if someone saw us?
This.... Is so....Embarrassing!

Adhikshit only put her down when he reached his chamber.
He softly kept her on his bed and played with her hair looking lovingly at his mate.

Roshni awkwardly whispered - What?
Why are you looking at me like that?

Like what? - he asked instead looking into her honey orbs

Roshni could not meet his gaze and thus lowered her lashed her lips a little parted but then she never spoke.

The sexual tension intensified in the air around them and both their hearts beat errotically, then without a word, Adhikshit leaned into her parted lips and began to kiss her ever so softly but urgently.... The kind of kiss that starts to make your head dizzy and your toes curl back.

The heated...fearless movements of his lips told her that how this man was indeed fantasizing romantically about her all the time.
Their tongue danced in harmony...he slipped his hand inside her top and caressed her soft curves and then his thumb moved upwards and Roshni sucked in a hard breathe....he liesurely touched the outline of her soft molds over her brassiere.....Roshni erotically called out his name and adhikshit groaned...twisting his tongue against hers and then let her go after his soul was satisfied and whispered panting softly -

I can't wait for you to move in to my chamber nightingale!

I have got to do so many things with you!

The list of fantasies are increasing every time I see you!
And damn my heart, I don't even want to deny it!

Roshni wanted to roll her eyes on his cheesy lines yet she could not help but notice the sincerity in his tone.!

She kissed his cheeks chastely and whispered -

Just a few more Days my Mate!
And we will be together!
And now, let me go mister!

How I wish you didn't have to go! - Adhikshit sighed holding her tight

Roshni hugged him for the last time and then left his chamber leaving behind a pure heart warming smile on Adhikshit's lips!

Flash Back Ends

Well!
Back to Earth Queen! - chimed in Aloki

And they all laughed at the red tomato sitting shyly amongst them ie : Roshni Purohit!

Soon all of them gathered to the Hall to begin with the engagement.
Adhikshit put a beautiful Solitaire ring on Roshni's finger and the couple was blessed by the elders and Pandits.

Beautiful smiles never left the faces and everything looked perfect. Adhikshit got busy with some of their important people.

And Roshni was admiring the solitaire sitting on her ring when suddenly she felt a movement in the stone on her finger.

There seemed to be a gast of air and she found herself traveling in a dark deep Pit. Everything around her suddenly vanished and she could feel that she was transported to a different time,
She could see their dear ones, all happy and celebrating but suddenly everything turned Black.

she saw then the jungle turning into ash.....a giant destructive fireball and engulfed the entire area, everything looked destroyed....people were screaming for help....some running around....she felt them crossing by....and she tried to reach out but her eyes felt dizzy.....Blood was everywhere and everything looked like a film running in fast forward.....and then suddenly saw a source of light falling upon Adhikshit!
And then there was Blood!
All Over!

She tried to concentrate on the source of light when her eyes wide opened and she found herself back in the castle.!

The scenario in front of her was nothing similar to those blurry images that she just had experienced.
She could not decipher if she slept and had a dream but how was that possible.?

Because She was here, standing amongst her people....Her Mate and everything looked just like before.

But her mind kept telling her that what she experienced was not just a random dream. She could feel the churning and the uneasiness in her stomach.
She could sense something was going to happen and it was not good at all.

She felt that her mate was in danger and she could not help herself but ask one of the girls to intimidate Adhikshit that she wanted to talk to him urgently.

In no time, Adhikshit was in front of her and she just jumped into his arms and sobbed.

She could not believe that she saw him in the pool of Blood. He was invincible but what could go wrong within the compounds of the Castle that she saw him in Blood!

It was their safe Heaven!

Adhikshit himself was stunned at her behaviour. He could not help but asked worried -
Hey Rosh!
What happened Queen?
Why are you so panicked?

I... I.. Again.... Had those blurry images! - she whispered

Adhikshit held her in his arms and assured her that everything was good.
But she had her brains kept nagging that something was not right.

She sighed in Adhikshit's embrace but then her eyes got the glimpse of her Solitaire stone once again.

And in that very moment, Roshni exactly knew what she saw few moments ago!

Her eyes perked up to look at the ceiling....and to her horror.......The chandelier suddenly loosened and it was about to fall when on her pure instinct, Roshni pushed Adhikshit far from her and glanced upto it and pulled her palms up to stop it's clashing and the effects... she waited for the impact in fright but all she heard was gasps...and murmurs..!

She opened her eyes in fear but then she saw the Chandelier stood Still, frozen on its half way in the air and her eyes found Adhikshit safe....a relief washed over her but then her hands moved and as if it broke the spell, the chandelier moved and came crashing down on the ground breaking into million scattered pieces....!

Roshni saved her face and kept her hands in front of her face but hissed as a few small pieces pierced her skin.
Adhikshit in a blink reached her but she just fell unconscious and he scooped her in his arms and roaring out loud, he jumped far away from the crowd!

Samar, Aadarsh and Adikrit gathered around them and then it was a chaos.

Vijay Politely asked the Prides members to return back to their homes and then ordered Samar to look for the reason behind this sudden mishap.

Samar found some broken pieces of the rope that was attached to the Chandelier and presented that to him. Obviously it was clear that someone had taken advantage of the situation and had loosened the ropes to harm the couple.

This was a real Threat!
And Intentional!

Someone from the castle itself had dared to play against them and they could not take that lightly.
Aadarsh and Samar took responsibility to investigate further. Samar had already sent his warriors to look for any scent or  further evidences.

And then they all dispersed.!

In Roshni's Chamber

Adhikshit stood right beside where Roshni was laying. The doctor was checking her pulse and she tended the wounded hand.

She spoke - Singha King!
I don't see any internal damage and her vitals are back to normal.
I think it's just the sudden strike that led our future Queen to loose her consciousness. But I assure you, she will be awake soon enough.!

Adhikshit nodded his head, His face was straight but everyone present there knew better....that the silence....the calmness....was like the silence before the thunder storms in the sea!

Aadarsh and Adikrit walked in and they sat close to Roshni.
Adhikshit let out a growl due to the sudden intrusion around his mate but Aadarsh passed him a hard challenging glare and held Roshni's hand in his.
He closed his eyes for a while as if he was trying to connect through their telepathy.

His forehead formed lines and then he opened his eyes with clear shock.
He tried to process the information he had just acquired and he still was in a daze.

What is it Aadarsh? - asked an impatient Adhikshit

I... She.... I think Roshni has been gifted another power!
And if I am not wrong she can see some of the immediate Future events!
And that is why.....she could sense the danger.!
B... But It's just my assessment.
I can not be sure without Roshni connecting the mind links.!

That got Vijay's attention. He was a man of power and experience.

How can you not know Aadarsh?
You are the only one who can mind link with her! - roared Adhikshit but he was clearly frustrated

Vijay spoke firmly - Boys! Relax.!
Let Roshni rest and wait for her to wake up. We can only know the truth when she is awake!
And by the time, let me call the Royal Purohit and Astrology expert.
May be they can show us some light.!

Also, Adhikshit I think you should go with Samar and Aadarsh, they have found something over the attacker....the way it had been executed....it seems the traitor is someone very close to us and you both were the clear targets....and I have a feeling that something bigger and dangerous is being planned!!!!

Adhikshit somehow controlled his inner Singha from coming out and snapping the heads apart.
He wanted to drink the Blood!
He looked murderous!

He looked one more time at his mate and his eyes had longing and concern.
It was the worst feeling ever to see his mate suffer and he did not want to leave her side.

Reading his inner turmoils, Lakshmi and Grandma stayed back with Roshni, promising that they will inform him immediately if she woke up.

Adhikshit sighed and together with Samar and Aadarsh went out.

Samar passed on the foreign scent that lingered in the air and the three of them shifted to their gifted forms.

Thus, Began the trail for the Hunt!

The entire jungle thundered against their heavy steps and it prepared itself for the war!

As if the jungle knew that this time, Adhikshit was not going to go easy on the Traitor!
