"Hmph, Vale isn't as highly advanced as my home, but I can survive and maybe even appreciate the simple life."

In the center of the city of Vale, a young woman in a white dress, which looked expensive, had her white hair put up in a ponytail, and, what stood out the most, she had a scar over her eye; this unique person was known as Weiss Schnee, and she was currently admiring the city she was in, nodding and smiling in approval. After a moment or two of appreciating the beauty of where she was, she turned away and looked back at the driver of a limousine-like vehicle behind her.

"Take my personal items and Dust to my temporary place of residence, I'll call once I'm done being here."

The driver nodded to Weiss' request and simply drove off, leaving her behind and alone at this public place; she sighed and took this moment of peace to think.

'Finally to be away from my father and his unreasonable demands...'

She smiled softly to herself, feeling a bit free and relieved to experience such an open world without anyone to ruin it for her.

'Hm, I wonder what I should do today, since I have this quiet time before I go to Beacon Academy?...'

Before Weiss could take advantage of her opportunity, she was quickly distracted by the sound of yelling, which definitely caught her attention and caused her to look to see what it was.

"P-Please, just this once, I promise to pay you back later-"

"No Means No! I Don't Give Handouts!"

What Weiss saw was a man yelling at a young girl wearing a red hoodie, carrying her one-year-old child, being yelled at by said store owner; from what Weiss could tell, it appeared to be some sort of "not enough money" situation.

"B-But I need it for my Son-"

"Then Go Get Some Money To Pay For It!"

Ruby tried to beg and promise to pay for it later, but the store owner wasn't having any of that and continued to get mad at her for wasting his time, which definitely made a certain one-year-old boy wearing a frown, even behind his blindfold glowed red slightly.

"How much is it?"

However, before any more arguments could ensue or anything suspicious involving Scarlet could occur, a hand slammed against the counter, interrupting and capturing everyone's attention; the culprit behind it all was none other than Weiss herself, who was currently glaring at the store owner with a frown on her face.

"Since she's been trying to cheat me, it's now 50 instead of 25."

The store owner said, crossing his arms; hearing this made Rose stutter and groan in disbelief and defeat, though the Schnee just huffed in response instead.

"Hmph, such uncivilized behavior, I hope you don't regret acting in such a way."

Weiss lifted up the hand that was on the table and handed the store owner a debit card; he simply grunted as he took it and went to the back to pay for his purchase.

"Y-You didn't have to do that, I would've found a way to-"

"Just accept the generosity of a Schnee and say thank you."

Weiss quickly cuts off Ruby before she can say anything, which she simply nods quickly and bows her head in gratitude.

"Thank you, I really appreciate it."

Ruby then lifts up a bit and raises Scarlet over her shoulder, making her appear to be looking down at him from above, as if she were looking him in the eyes.

"Say thank you to her too~"

Ruby lifted her hand and made her wave to the person who had been able to pay and save them, though she could only look back with a small frown.

'A Faunus child?...'

Weiss, despite helping them, she didn't regret doing it; however, she couldn't help but look at Scarlet with mixed feelings and thoughts, questions and confusion running through her head regarding him being a Faunus, how a human was his mother, how she had made him, and so on and so forth. She could not help but paint a picture that shone negative light on the situation.

'It was probably done unwillingly...'

Before Weiss could think anything else negative, she was suddenly surprised and slightly startled as Scarlet suddenly leaned forward and reached out to her.

"W-Woah!"

However, no one was more surprised or startled than Ruby herself, who nearly dropped Scarlet in her surprise and caught him quickly before he could fall; her expression did not go unnoticed by the Schnee.

"What was that about?"

"I-I don't know, I n-never seen him act like this?"

Ruby continues to watch Scarlet reach out to Weiss, who steps back in slight confusion as to what's happening.

"I think... He wants you to carry him?..."

Ruby was beyond dumbfounded and did not understand why her son was doing this and acting in such a manner; this was the first time she had seen him behave like this, and she had no idea how to handle it at the moment.

"He wants me to do what?!"

Her first natural instinct at the mere thought of touching a Faunus was to say no and even look disgusted, but, when Scarlet actually grabbed onto her finger with his tiny hands, she couldn't help but look down at him; her narrowed cold eyes suddenly softened up once she looked at his face, any and all negative thoughts and emotions were quickly erased and replaced with something that made her smile. She then used her free hand to grab onto the deer boy and held him close in her arms.

"Awww, so cute~"

Weiss nuzzled her face against the cheek of Scarlet, who did not react at all and simply held her close with his tiny arms; as this was going on, Rose just simply watched the two with very wide eyes.

'H-He didn't try to attack her...'

Ruby was about to continue to question what was going on when a large hunk of raw meat was suddenly slammed and dropped into her arms, which nearly caused her to stumble and fall over due to how heavy it was.

"You got what you wanted, now leave my store already!"

The store owner growled at the two young ladies, no doubt very annoyed with them; the hooded girl quickly nodded and tried to drag the Heiress away from the store, who was still busy cuddling Scarlet. The store owner simply huffed as they left.

'Stupid girl and her stupid Faunus child.'

The store owner walked into his shop and was about to get back to work when, once inside and having closed the door behind him, he suddenly stopped and clutched at his throat

"Hrk!"

The store owner started to make choking and coughing sounds; at first, they were a light sound and action, but soon, they quickly followed up by something much more harsher and brutal.

"BLRIGGGLE!"

And not to long after, the coughing and choking immediately turned into a sight of the store owner vomiting, and it wasn't your normal kind of vomit, what he has thrown up, was EVERYTHING INSIDE HIM, blood, heart, lungs, stomach, liver, organs, brain, eyes, tongue, teeth, bones, nerves, EVERYTHING, and he only stopped when he was nothing more than a hollow skin suit, which gently fell and lay down above the pile of carnage...

"Can I have my son back please?..."

A few blocks and very far away from the store owner's shop, Ruby Rose could be seen standing next to Weiss Schnee, holding out her hand and politely asking for her son back; the Heiress pouted and whined at first, before sighing and putting the child back into the arms of its mother.

"Thank you, and thank you again for what you did for me back there, I don't know how I can repay you."

Once Scarlet was back in the loving arms of Ruby, she once again thanked and bowed her head to Schnee, who couldn't help but rub her chin and let out a thoughtful hum.

"Well... If you truly wish to repay me."

Weiss then smiled, wearing a small but very bright one, as he leaned forward and tickled Scarlet, who again didn't react to any of this, though she didn't care and was just happy to be around him.

"Then allow me to visit this beautiful angel and let me spoil him with everything in my wallet~"

As soon as Weiss said this, the silver eyes went wide again, in disbelief of the situation.

"A-Are you sure? But wh-"

"Don't ask questions about my reasoning and accept my payment for helping you~"

Ruby's questions and confusion were quickly shut down by Weiss's insistent personality; Rose really wanted to know what was going on and why it was happening, but she just sighed in defeat and nodded in acceptance.

"Ok..."

After saying this, the Heiress, without hesitation, grabbed onto and started dragging away Ruby, who did not get a chance to protest or understand what was suddenly happening again; Scarlet, meanwhile, just simply accepted things as always and let things happen.

"Great, now come, I know a perfect place to get

"W-Wait you wanna spoil him now?!"

Unknown to both Weiss and Ruby, as the two went into many shops and stores that sold cute clothes that would match and fit Scarlet, a certain symbol once again appeared, though this time, behind the neck of the Schnee herself.
