•Francis's point of view•

It was midnight and almost all the guests either drunk outside of palace or had gone home. Father had asked me, Sebastian, Condè and Julien to his chambers.

I saw Julien and couple of girls making out in the throne room. I shook my head and walked up to him.

"Julien Father has called us up to his chamber, there is an urgent matter we have to discuss."

He looked up at me with an annoyed face, "Not NOW Francis. I'm busy with these beautiful ladies." He looked back at the girls and smiled.

I rolled my eyes then grabbed his collar and dragged him out of there.

"Woah wait!! Sorry ladies! Don't go anywhere I will be right there with you, Dammit Francis!"

We arrived at Father's chambers when we entered Sebastian and Condè were already there. Some of the important lords were there as well, waiting for father to speak.
I looked over and saw Kenna standing next to Mountain.

"Where the hell have you two been?!" Father yelled out angrily.

"Sorry Father. I had to Drag Julien out of his 'party' so it took a while."

"Enough. Now sit down."

I watched as Sebastian walked over to Kenna and sat down next to me, he caress her hair and she smiled faintly at him.

My hand turned in to a fist but I didn't say anything so I sat down next to Julien.

"Alright, earlier tonight Kenna had a vision. When she explained to me what she had seen I figured out there is a way to get back our kingdom we lost at war to King Huge."

Some of the men started whispering and talking among themselves.

Father ignored them and continued, "In her vision, she saw that in a couple of days they will be having a celebration at night. King Huge doesn't have that much army in the castle, and he will be in his own kingdom so this is a perfect opportunity. And while their guard is down we will attack in the middle of the night."

Everyone was impressed with their King's plan and agreed without arguing.

"But Father." Condè stood up holding his injured shoulder. "Attacking at night could also hurt a lot of innocent women and even children."

"Condè there is no children or women left in our old kingdom. Huge has taken all of them hostage.. or turned them into slaves. This is why we have to get our kingdom back!" Father stood up and everyone roared showing their support for him.

"When will we be attacking?" I asked him.

"In 2 days. So get everyone ready but keep this quiet as much as possible. I want it to be a secret attack." Father said with a grin then looked at Julien. "Julien you will be coming with me."
Julien modded right away.
I looked over at Kenna. She was talking in Sebastian's ear. It's hard to watch, like someone is squeezing your heart in their palms.

"I will go with you Father." I stood up. "Condè is injured and Sebastian hasn't fully recovered either so I will go." Father nodded at me then sent everyone back to their room.

I walked back to my chamber when someone grabbed my arm.
I turned around to see Kenna.

"Francis, you're going? Again?" She looked upset.

"Yes, I cant allow my father and brother to fight alone." I paused a little and pushed her hand away. "Why do you care anyway? You should take care of Sebastian."

Her eyes widened in surprise, "why are you acting like this all of a sudden? why are you pushing me away..?"

"Oh you don't like being pushed away? Welcome to my world Kenna." I raised my voice without realizing it.

"You know what at least Sebastian was there for me when I nearly died.." I saw the tears in her eyes but she left without saying anything else.

I wanted to run after her. To tell her I loved her and I was sorry. But I was so angry...so instead, I watched her run away from me.

•Kenna's point of view•

The next day I stayed in my room and didn't allow anyone to come to my room. I rather be alone by myself. I woke up really early that morning by the sound of horses and soldiers from outside.

I looked outside from my window. I saw everyone getting ready for the attack.
Then I noticed Francis looking up at my window, my heart sank to my chest as our eyes caught each other.

He mouthed 'Come downstairs' so I wore something warm and ran outside.
I walked up to him and he hugged me tightly. "I'm sorry, I feel terrible for talking to you like that." He looked into my eyes for a minute. "I promise when I come back I will be your knight."
I couldn't help but laugh quietly.

"I saw Mary... I didn't know she was back."

"Yeah I managed to convince your Father to allow her to stay with me."

He put the reign on his horse then looked at me again. "I was jealous. And I was afraid."

"Afraid of what?" I asked him.

"I was afraid of losing you... even though you're not mine."

My heart started beating really fast. I couldn't look away, his eyes are like deep blue ocean you want to swim in.

I stepped closer but all of a sudden Julien came in between us, "ah my beautiful Kenna is here to see me off." Francis gave him a sharp look.

"Woah alright sorry for ruining your 'moment'. Came to see everyone get on their horses. We're departing!" He then left quickly.

"Go ahead, Francis." I touched his cheeks gently. "Please come back safely."

He gave me a faint smile and nodded his head "I'm happy you will be here when I come back. This time I won't let go..." He then got on his horse and I watched him ride away once again.

I stood there until I couldn't see them anywhere then I walked back inside. I saw Sebastian and Mary talking inside, I tried to walk past them but Mary stopped me.

"Kenna, I was just about to come look for you. It's a bit cold let's go have tea."

"Sure why not." I smiled at her.

Mary kissed bash on the cheek then we left to go to her chamber.

We sat down next to the window and started drinking warm tea while reading books about our powers.

Mary closed the book and sighed, "You know how one of our special powers is bringing something or someone back to life if they had died recently?" I nodded at her. "Well, I want to teach you but..."

Mary's face turned upset so I sat closer to her, "what's wrong? Did something happened?"

She was quiet for a moment, "When I ran off from the castle, I was alone for some time and I didn't practice at all." She sighed then continued, "then after that, I realized I had lost some of my powers. Including bringing something back to life."

"Oh Mary I'm so sorry..." I squeezed her hand gently.

She shook her head with a smile, "no don't be, I can teach you how to do it. But it will take a while and lots of practice. All you have to do is believe in yourself and open your heart. And I know you can do that without trouble."

I didn't understand what she meant by that, and the thought of not being able to bring my brother back made me not care about learning this power at all. It didn't matter anymore...
