Fear in her eyes grew every second that passed by.

"Who are you talking about honey..?"

"My mum told me that you will save us all, you will do that right?" I opened my mouth yet nothing would come out,

"My little brother was killed by those mean soldiers of Minoans.. but now that you are here you will take revenge right?!"

Tears started to well up in my eyes as emotions started welling up inside me as soon as I heard she had lost a brother.

I squeezed her hand and I looked in her eyes,
" I'm sorry.. I know how hard losing someone close to you is, but I can see that you're a strong girl, and I will promise you that I will protect you, your family and everyone else!"

Huge smile formed on her face, " Will you ever break your promise?"
I shook my head and showed her my smile as tears rolled down my cheeks, "I will never break my promise."

I held my necklace in my hand and looked out of carriage as we rode back to Palace,

" Please Kenna don't ever get separate from us like that again! Father is going to be furious.. also I will never forgive myself if anything happens to you.."

"I'm sorry Bash, it won't happen again. I take full responsibility."

"The town people were looking very cheerful around you My Lady, what did you tell them?"
Catia asked with a twinkle in her eyes.

"I thought I made a promise to a little girl, but really I was making promise to everyone. But now I don't know how I'm going to keep it..."

My thoughts got lost in the wind as we continue to ride of.

•Francis point of view•

I saw her get off the carriage then she ran inside, the guards told Sebastian and Catia to see father like I told them to.

I ran downstairs, afraid I'm going to miss my chance to talk to her. She walked in front of me not noticing my presence, she took her cloak off as she kept walking toward her chamber.

"I hope you enjoyed your ride to town My Lady." Surprised she turned around quickly.

"Oh hi, uh yes I very much did actually, I think I need to get out of here more often."

"It makes me happy that you have but Father is very angry.. unfortunately."

She smiled confidently, "Yes well your father is always like that. I'm assuming he wants to talk to me? To raise his voice and say I have no choice but to follow his commands."

I chuckled, everything about her makes me truly in a better mood. " I have talked to him and managed to change his mind, you do seem very tired."

"Wow prince Francis! You sacrificed yourself for me! Thank you, you really have saved me."

We both laughed as we started to walk toward her chamber, "I'm usually a knight but whatever you say My lady" she giggled.

She suddenly ran toward one the windows in the hall, and I heard her gasp.

"Francis, would you do me a tiny favour?" She then looked back at me.

"knight at your service." I bowed, she jumped up and down in excitement then grabbed my hand and we both ran towards the exit.

She took me by surprise but I did not pull back at all, she truly reminds me of an angel.

" I never knew you would have interest in horses My La.."

"Would you just call me Kenna? Then I'm able to call you Francis instead of My lord"

"S..sure Kenna."

She let go of my hand, still a huge smile on her face she ran towards the stables. I followed her, when I realised Condè was also there. As soon as he saw her he bowed, she stopped and looked at him without saying a word, as if she was studying him.

"Francis, why is Lady Kenna here?"

"She insisted, I couldn't say no."

He looked at her again and smiled. My eyes could not believe it, Did Condè just smile? What is this feeling..? Almost as if I want to walk over there and cover her eyes so they won't look at each other anymore.

" This one is so beautiful.. is it a female?"

"Yes she is, she's very young but very fast, she has won many races." I moved close to her, Condè did not speak, instead he brought a saddle and put it on the horse. Then he looked at Kenna, as if offering her for a ride.

Kenna turned around and looked at me, I nodded my head with a smile. She then got on top with my help.

"Be very careful this horse, she can be very fast."

"Will you come for a ride with me?"

How can I say no to those beautiful eyes, "Of course I am."

I got on my horse and slowly we rode off toward the woods. She still had that huge happy Smile on her face.

"Enjoying the ride so far?"

"Yes she's lovely I don't know what you guys were talking about..but I understand I'm a pro you see. She's comfortable with a pro."

I raised my eyebrow then gave a push to her horse, which.. was a mistake. The horse looked scared and started running faster then before.

"FRANCIS!!" She screamed out.

"KENNA PULL THE REINS!" I charged toward her, careful not to get hit by the long tree branches and finally caught up to her, she had closed her eyes. She looked terrified, no matter how much I talked to her, she wouldn't listen to me.

I somehow got close enough to pull the reins myself, but then I lost control and we both fell off our horses and on to the ground.

I got up and quickly ran towards her, she had fallen in to a puddle. Her hair was soaking wet and mud was all over her cloths, she gave me a look and I thought she's angry at me.

But then she burst out laughing.. and my heart skipped a bit. I laughed along with her.

We decided to walk back, holding on to our horses. " you still look lovely.."

She gave me a look, " you be quiet! This is all your fault. Of course I look amazing I always do."

She gave me a gentle push and I gave her one back as we continued to walk back to palace.

We entered the hall, I closed my eyes as I saw Father walking towards us along side Lord Herbert and his Wife. This is not going to go down well.

"Francis! What is the meaning of this? Why is Lady Kenna looking like this?"

Lady Herbert giggled, " My my.. is this the "Saviour" you were speaking of? She smells like a horse who have just played in a pool of mud.." she and her husband gave out a laugh.

Father looked furious, but Kenna coughed,

"Excuse me Your Highness I went for a horse ride with Francis and we both fell off, and as for you Madam stop laughing, you not only sound like a duck but you look like one too with those lips."

She then walked off with a fake bow and I tried my hardest not to laugh out loud. I bowed as I quickly ran after Kenna, Before lady Herbert looked like was about to explode any seconds now.

I thought this one was hilarious😂😂 omg I love Toby so much!

Also I'm going to make a character chapter next introducing characters so no one gets confused!
