A Friend♡
•Kenna's point of view•
I sat down in front of a small mirror while Catia brushed my hair. I think they noticed why I've been quiet. They know exactly why but they just won't say anything.
"Alright, you promised you would tell me more about the future Kenna!" Claude yelled out from other side of the room while Lysa was fixing her dress.
I looked at her with a giggle, "Haven't you heard enough already?"
"No, I want to know more. Tell me more about uh... what was it called again? Oh cars!" She walked closer and sat in front of me. "Tell me more about cars. oh and the food."
I smiled and pinched her cheeks, "Alright I will." we talked for hours. Time goes by quickly when I'm with them.
"But... future is not good as it sounds." They looked at me confusedly. "People are different. They've forgotten how to be humans. They've forgotten how to be grateful until they lose someone. Just like me." I looked down at my necklace remembering my family, wishing I was there with them right now.
I noticed that they went quiet and I didn't want them to feel down. "Anyways, enough talking about future. I'm starving!"
"uh yes me too! Catia would you please let them know to prepare lunch for us?" Claude got up from her seat, "Until food is ready I'm gonna go and see Louis...He's been feeling really down." With that, she left the room. Catia and Lysa also left leaving me alone.
I didn't wait around and walked towards Sebastian's chamber. I knocked on the door and waited for his response, "Come in."
I hesitated for a second before I finally went in.

The door swung open and Kenna walked in. She took a few steps before stopping, "Haven't talked to you since yesterday, how are you feeling?" I asked her with a smile.
"Well, thank you." She paused a bit like something was on her mind. "Bash you never told me you and Mary were together." She walked up to me.
My eyes widened as I was caught off guard by her question. "I'm sorry I never really wanted to talk about it."
She paused again, this time longer. "Are you in love with her?"
This time it took me a while to answer her, I looked in her eyes, "Always have been, yes."
I could see the sadness in her eyes and that shattered me. "Kenna I care about you s..."
"Save it. I don't want you to care about me, I know we were never a thing but..." She stopped herself and paused for a moment, "Just stay away from me for a while." She quickly left the room before I could stop her.
Guilt took over me. And I felt like shit. I sat down and covered my face with my hands, my head filled with confused thoughts. I love her and care for her so much...But Mary was my first love.
I felt so angry at myself.

For the next couple of days, I ignored him as much as I could. I spent my time walking around with Condè or with Mary trying to learn more about my powers. She taught me more about controlling it which was so cool to me.
Slowly Mary and I spent more time with each other. We became so close and she turned out to be the sister I never had. We had so much in common that made me realize why so many people told me I remind them of her when I first arrived here.
That morning was really cold, it was snowing outside. I sat down next to the fireplace with Catia and Lysa as we drank tea. My chamber door swung open, Mary came in followed by Delphine.
"How are you sitting here when we could be outside playing in the beautiful snow?!"
"Are you serious? it's freezing outside and so warm here." I showed her my teacup.
She put her arms on her hips and raised an eyebrow, "No, Come on girls let's go outside! It will be fun playing around."
I sighed feeling defeated already, "Fine. Looks like I have to show you my snowball skills."
We all end up wearing warm clothes then running outside. As soon as I step out I was attacked by Mary's snowball.
Our laughter filled the castle as we played for hours. My hands were burning from freezing cold snow but it was so beautiful I didn't want to let go.
I made sure Mary was my target as I ran after her and covered her hair with snow. She gasped looking at me then bend down to grab a big pile of snow. I quickly ran away from her laughing but end up tripping and falling on my face.

I put everything down in my room and dropped myself on my bed. Ah how much I missed my room. I stared at the ceiling until I heard a knock on the door. Father entered so I sat up on the bed, "Welcome back Son, you didn't catch a cold did you?"
"Thanks Father, no I'm fine thank you." I smiled at him, he looked so tired, "Did they.. find Diane yet? or any trace of her?"
Father sighed and shook head, "No not yet, It's like she has disappeared into thin air." He looked at me and noticed I was upset. "Don't worry they will find her. She can't hide away from me forever. Rest well for today, you had a long journey."
I nodded and waited till he left the room. I couldn't stop thinking what Diane had done to Kenna... when they told me everything I couldn't believe them.
I heard voices from outside, I stood up and walked to the window and slowly opened it. I saw her and other girls playing in the snow. But as soon as I saw her, she was all I could see.
I watched as she played around and ran but then she suddenly fell face flat on the snow. I couldn't help it and laugh out loudly. She got up and looked around her confusedly, trying to find me.
I finally stopped laughing, "Over here snow face." She looked up and her eyes widened as soon as she saw me.
"Francis! you're back!" She wiped the snow off her face. "When did you get here?!"
"Just now, you're face is red from the cold. Come back inside."
She smiled and ran inside.
I closed the window and walked out of my room. I saw her running in the hallway with a big smile on her face, she jumped into my arms and hugged me. I hugged her back tightly, noticing how much I missed her.
