Chapter Sixteen - Generals Of Hecate

As the Blacktongues stormed UA, Pan and Aizawa rushed to mount up a defense consisting of the other UA staff.

Present Mic: I'll be the first to say that these Villain attacks are getting out of hand!

Pan: I'm afraid it's much worse than that. The Blacktongues are here. But feet not, my friends. I have fought the Blacktongues many times. We can beat them.

Nezu: Then we are in your capable hands. What must we do?

Pan: Our first priority will be to protect the students. I have already tasked my Argonauts with this task. But they cannot do it alone. The Blacktongues have amassed a large attack force of men and beasts from the depths of Tartarus. The battle ahead will be hard, but I have faith that we will triumph over the forces of evil!

With that, Pan had rallied Aizawa and the UA staff in the fight against the Blacktongues. Meanwhile, Xerxos watches the ensuing chaos with satisfaction.

Xerxos: Now is the time to unleash your generals, Hecate.

Xerxos then began to speak an incantation. As he did, his tattoos began to glow. Three portals opened up before Xerxos. Three figures stepped out of the portals. One was an Ionian Mercenary armed with a spear and shield. Another was a man armed with  with the appearance of a scholar. The last was a large Centaur with a monster by his side.

Xerxos: Docon. Phaedon. Nessus. I have brought you all from the paradise of Tartarus for a truly righteous mission.

Docon: How long has it been since we have died?

Xerxos: In life, you all served Hecate. You all shall do so again. As we speak, the Blacktongues have begun their invasion on the stronghold of Pan.

Phaedon: Pan? You mean the Satyr who followed the foolish Iolcan King Jason?

Xerxos: The very same. He has lived through the centuries, following the ways of the weak Olympian Gods. But now the time has come for the Blacktongues to rise once more.

Nessus: What of the Iolcan King? What of the Golden Fleece.

Xerxos: Jason has long since died. The Fleece has disappeared from the eyes of men and Gods. All who followed Jason have died. All except one. All except Pan. He lives. You all gave your life in service of Hecate. For your services, you were all given a place in Tartarus. I have summoned you all here to once more serve Hecate. I am Xerxos, the one who leads the Blacktongues! I am the one who Hecate called upon to lead the Blacktongues in a glorious crusade to raise our mistress to her rightful place as ruler of Heaven, Earth and Hell.

Docon: Once more, I fight in my arena! The unworthy shall fall before my spear!

Phaedon: In our most perfect forms, we shall rebuild what the Iolcan king has broken and continue our work!

Nessus: What rewards do you offer us? What rewards are we promised for our servitude to Hecate?

As Nessus asked that question, Xerxos knew immediately that Nessus felt as he was cheated.

Xerxos: Why vengeance, oh mighty Nessus! It was the Iolcan king who slew you. It was the Iolcan king who slew your precious Hep'naje. Now you have the last of his Argonauts in your grasp. The last remnants of the Iolcan king is yours to destroy.

As Xerxos laid out his promise, Nessus took a moment to think on Xerxos's offer. In life, Nessus was promised endless fields of grass and a palace filled with servants. Instead he ended up in the world of the damned and faced near oblivion at the hands of Jason and the Argonauts when they ventured into Tartarus. To the old Centaur, this was the opportunity to not only exact revenge, but to claim what he felt was his rightful reward.

Nessus: Very well, Xerxos. I accept your offer.

Xerxos: Stand with me! I am the Avatar of Hecate and you are her generals! We shall bring about the end of the weak Olympian Gods who long reigned for far too long! We shall unleash the armies of Tartarus upon them and bring about the ascension of Hecate! In this academy lies the Satyr who served the Iolcan king in his attempts to wipe out the Blacktongues! Join me as we lead the armies of Tartarus across the land in a glorious conquest!

As Xerxos spoke, the generals of Hecate were given command of their own individual hordes of Tartarus fiends to aid in the Blacktongue invasion of UA.

Docon: Now is the time for glorious slaughter!

Phaedon: Let us show them the undeniable truth of Hecate!

Nessus: Come, Hep'naje! It has been far too long since you've hunted! Let us claim our just rewards!

The combined forces of Docon, Phaedon and Nessus marched into UA. Xerxos felt immense pride in what was transpiring. In his eyes, the Blacktongues had truly risen from their ruin.

Xerxos: Gaze upon this sight, Hecate. Gaze upon our display of love for you, mighty Hecate. In your divine name, Hecate, the Satyr shall die and his soul shall rest in the paradise of Tartarus.

Xerxos's devotion to Hecate was on full display as the invasion continued. He had resurrected Hecate's most loyal servants. But this was only the beginning. Xerxos would not stop until UA burned to the ground. He would not stop until Pan was dead. To this end, Xerxos was willing to kill countless innocents in the name of Hecate.
