The blurb is amazing. It beautifully weaves in threads of different short stories and without trying too hard, rhymes as well and it makes you want to dive right in. In one or two places though, the use of some verbs and adjectives were unnecessary.

Cover: 3/5

The cover although beautiful, doesn't show the font properly and hides it, thus making it hard to read the title and author's name. It's quite simple, but fits the mood of the story.

Plot: 19/20

The plot for each short story is steady and engaging, each story is unique and has the reader hooked, each short story is narrated with accent and mannerism of the character's ethnicity. The only problem is that, a few of the plots were very basic and a little more work was needed, just a little.

Characterization: 20/20

Characterization was excellent. Each story told a different character's story, a day in their life and as we got a glimpse of their world, the characters felt very real and all the emotions struck right at the heart.

Creativity/Originality: 10/10

I have got to hand it to the author, her creativity really impressed me and she changed writing styles to suit her characters as well, there were no clichés, just pure original ideas written from the soul.

Spelling and Grammar: 14/15

Overall spelling and grammar was great, there were barely few places where the phrasing or tense was misplaced or wrong.

Enjoyability: 4.5/5

This is definitely a good read, engaging and it had me hooked and mesmerized, although very few stories had a very simple plot and lost me in the middle of the story.

Literary Devices: 3.5/5

The author somehow managed to use similes and imagery to a brilliant extent and diction was incredible as well, but having said that, there were very few places she did and a little more work on the details can really push the book out there.

Description: 5/5

All stories had on point descriptions, I could see all the characters and setting in my head and they are definitely real and raw, written with so many emotions, all the descriptions were on point.
