In a way, there is magic in these awards. 

I started a very similar series of awards way back in... 2019? Earlier? Maybe even 2018? 

After a full year of monthly awards designed around novels, we moved into a full year of monthly awards that focused on short stories. 

Then, once I had to take a break from hosting and the community, the lovely avadel took over, with Stars and Short Stories. Then, the lovely KirukkanGuild also gave us a hand, when avadel took a bit of a break. 

Now that they both need a break -- and a well deserved one as well, considering the professionalism and love they put into hosting -- I think it's time I take back the torch for a little while. 

So, for March, April and May 2022 [and maybe more...?], I will be hosting the short story awards!

This is how it will work: 

- Prompts will be available at the start of the month, for about two weeks. You must write a short story in this time period. 

- After that, I judge. I'm happy to judge by myself, but I would love someone to collaborate with! So I may be asking for a fellow author, whose writing and opinion I respect dearly, for a hand. 

- On the final day, results are out!
